I don't need to starve to prove my love for Saif Ali Khan: Kareena Kapoor

Actress Kareena Kapoor will not observe fast on the occasion of Karwa Chauth tomorrow as she does not believe in going without food for her actor-husband Saif Ali Khan.

"I dont need to starve to prove my love. I am not going to fast. I am a Kapoor... I can't live without food. I would celebrate it by eating, working, by promoting my film," Kareena, who got married to Saif last year, said.

The actress, who is the brand ambassador of Malabar Gold and Diamond, launched a online store here.

She said that online shopping saves her a lot of time.

"Whatever jewellery I bought myself from my hard earned money is special to me. Gold and diamond are the best fashion statement in jewelry," she said.

Kareena says she does not follow any trend and prefers to wear light jewelry.

its not about starving urself or doing it only 2 prove smthing..

it depends on ppl hw they take it.. every religious ritual has smthing thoughtful nd divine behind it, nd its up2 d follower or worshippers that hw they believe it nd observe it..

ppl who fast, dont take it as starving or their husbands also dont doubt their love if they dont, but they still do it becos that gives them peace and satisfaction from a perspective..

So kareena, u dont fast thats ok, we respect it, its ur nd ur husband's choice, but such statemenst do make a mockery of the values a certain religion hold, equating a ritual like this wid random words like starving and proving anything is absurd..

obviously none of us pray to prove anything to god, but we do it to make ourselves happy.. its not that if we stop praying, we r abandoning our religion.nd if we pray regularly, we r d only true believers of the religion..

so women around d world dont starve themselves, starving oneself is equal to a kind of torture.. they just follow the ritual to bring their own happiness nd satisfaction.. thats it..

being a public figure, celebs shud understand that when to blurt out what.. nd she seems arrogant and insultive towards the ppl who believe in this fasts and observe it ...

So all the other ladies are starving themselves to prove their love??? Lmao it's called fasting that many people do during other religious occasions (like Navratri)

If she can't stay away from food for a day then it's fine...not everyone has that will power but saying that others are starving to PROVE their love 😆 too much.

It's a traditional festival that ladies follow because of their beliefs and NOT because they have to prove something to their husbands.

****Also W*F I am a Kapoor I can't stay without food...look at her logic 🤣

I feel the real reason is that she doesn't want Saifu to stay alive longer 😈
