Could RANBIR have done RAM LEELA instead of RANVEER?!! - Page 9

Ranbir is a fantastic actor...but he still has his inhibitions...he is image conscious. That is one of the reasons why a film like Besharam did not work...because Ranbir was playing it like Ranbir Kapoor and not like the titular Besharam he was supposed to play.

But Ranveer has enacted Ram without any inhibitions of any sort...someone mentioned that he comes across as sleazy in the film...that, IMO, was deliberate. The character is not just rustic and crude, but also the owner of a po*n video store. What else was he supposed to be? Nobel and high-minded?

Just to take on a role like this, requires guts and to play it so convincingly and accurately proves that he has talent and ability in him.

So, IMO, Ranbir could not have played Ram in the way that Ranveer did. Maybe a different version, but it would have been a far more unconvincing one!

No I don't think Biru would look convincing as Ram! He did not convince me in Rockstar as well! He fits more polished roles! If you felt Veer was sleazy, raunchy, I think he played his role to perfection! Not many actors in our industry today who can play such roles without inhibitions! You may not like one such for yourself but that's what SLB wanted to convey & I think veer delivered! If you want a more subltle Ranveer, go watch Lootera!

oh my i am seeing this thread now 😲 no way ranbir can pull ram's role forget the acting ( i am not saying he is not good actor) do u think that he could have carried that rustic look with beard and moustache - hell no , plus the chemistry no comparison can be made people r now turning form rk- dp to rs- dp ( they have sizziling chemistry )

Maybe he could have played the role but Ranveer did a damn good job so I don't know if RK could have played it better.

NO WAY. Ranveer was amazing as Ram. And Ranveer-Deepika are much better as a pair.
