Nobody, except for Salman could have saved Besharam. Ranveer has a tiny fan base as of yet. But he does good work. He will gradually become more popular, hopefully. Comparisons are pointless.

yep..nobody except Salman could've saved Besharam. 😆 Masses go to watch Salman more or less, not the film's content.

I love Ranveer but Ranveer is still in the gradual process of increasing his fanbase. He's an amazing actor, but popularity is a different thing altogether. Ranbir still has a much bigger fanbase in comparison..Besharam was an overall awful film and if Ranbir couldn't save it than I doubt Ranveer could've..because such masala films have little to do with acting anyway..they either click or they don't.

Ranbir was effortless as Barfi. That role was for him..like people are saying here, Ram was for Ranveer..likewise, Barfi was for Ranbir.

I like Ranveer better as an actor..so am being bias when I say No Ranbir couldn't have done RL. lol

But seriously..I can't picture anyone else other than Ranveer in RL. Ranbir doesn't have the passion and intensity that Ranveer has..which was needed for RL.

OMG!!! Eww...when I read the topic I replaced "Besharam" wwala Ranbir in the Ramleela sets..😆

He would have made Ram, as cheap as he was in Besharam. Ranbir is a old actor but some how. He tends to bring out or highlight the same aspect of his acting abilities. He is highly influenced by Raj Kapoor.

Where as Ranveer has shown remarkable range from his first movie. I think he could have done a Barfi. After watching his act at the filmfare awards about the eras of cinema I think he can pretty much fit into any genre and any era...👏
