Everyone is entitled to their opinion but no way is Kat superior to Madhubala, neither looks nor acting skills. That would be like Blasphemy!!

And @ MocoCoco, I agree with you. Madhubala was always more enchanting than Meena Kumari in my eyes. I actually kind of find her very boring and depressing due to the tragic roles she played and Madhubala always brought a smile on my face. Have people seen how expressive Madhubala was?! She was excellent! That song with Dev Anand..,,,accha ji main hari chalo maan jao na...? can you ever like ever expect KAt to give expressions that Madhu gave there?? Joke.

Also Nutan was in my opinion the Supremeactress of their era. She was the most versatile indeed as you pointed out. Love her to bits.

Madhubaba may not be the greatest of actresses which people would love to remember her...but her expressions her beauty and her smile ..pople cant imagine someone like kat to be into her shoes...i doubt any actress can do such athing...

people used to compare madhuri with madhubaba...had madhuri been young then may be poeple would have loved to see...

even if we keep aside madhubala's acting abilities, Katrina is playing madhubala as in, the real person who lived and went through the various trials and tribulations in her life...portraying those various shades of her life with conviction requires enormous skill, which I highly doubt Katrina has even 10% of...

the argument abt kat being perfect for the role because madhubala's skills as an actor were questionable is bogus... that's as logical as saying mary kom, Indira Gandhi, or Mother Teresa's biopics dunt need accomplished actresses because those women were never known for their acting skills...😕 ...

People are actually saying Madhuala wasn't known for acting? Madhubala was a great actress as well, but her beauty was so much that it overshadowed her talent as per by critics at that time. A famous actor, forgot his name, even forgot his dialogues the first time he met her struck by her beauty and some journalist, who had seen her, had said if Madhubala was alive today, she would have give a run to actress like Madhuri and Ash. Even her debut I heard was a big success. Just because her beauty was too much to overshadow her talent doesn't mean to ignore her talent.

Like so you're saying you need a non-actor to play a non-actor? Do we expect superheroes to play superheroes? CIA agents to play CIA agents?

No, as MocoCoco said, Kat will only maybe able to look the part; but acting wise? No. You still need to be a good actor to justify a role properly and Kat is far from being that. She is just mediocre. I don't think she'd be able to convincingly play Madhubala and how she was off-screen which has little do with Madhubala's acting abilities on-screen anyway.

this movie shouldn't happen esp if its going to be Katrina playing madhubala ji...no offence to her fans but choosing kat 2 play madhubala is an insult to madhubala...Katrina unfortunately will not be able to pull off the role...I know many will say she's not even done it and ur jumping to a conclusion but seeing her acting over the years this surely is one role she should stay away from.
