Both were most known performances so far this year.

Also have Sonakshi in Lootera, Vidya in Ghanchakkar and Kareena in Satyagraha coming up.

I found Deepika's scenes the most boring in YJHD so my vote goes to Sonam.

I personally found nothing new or great in Deepika's performance in YJHD as it was a typical RomCom

But Sonam was outstanding in Raanjhana

Ram Leela will be Deepika's test 😃

YJHD i would rate Aditya and kalki's performance better than Deepika's and Ranbir's.

Sonam and Deepika bth hv dialogue delivery & voice modulation problem, but in terms of expressions Sonam is a lot better than deepika so its Sonam for me. And the role of Zoya is more challenging, its a grey shaded character.

Deepika in YJHD was better.
Sonam has improved a lot in Raanjhanaa but her dialogue delivery makes me cringe. Dunno why but she still can't play glamorous, free spirited, modern day girl (she was terrible in Players & IHLS) I liked her in Aisha but again...dialogue delivery was not good.

You just need to impress the right director,co actor, producer or casting director and an actresses career is made..

awards,box office, and our opinions don't get them films..

Since Deepika debuted..Sonam,Asin,Anushka,Sonakshi,Parineeti and all the female actors of Deepika films may all have been better than her..

But the people she works with have a different opinion..and they are the ones who matter.

Sonam's dialogue delivery and voice still is very childish and unconvincing. Her expressions and body language is very good in Raanjhana but the moment she opens her mouth. 😵

Deepika's hindi is accented but she was the best thing in YJHD for me even better than Ranbir though her role had less screentime and no scope for histrionics but DP dialogue delivery improved vastly and Sonam still needs to work on hers.
