Why has SRK not given any record setting film? - Page 2

Its been 20 years why salman or even aamir(except 3 Idiots) are not able to come close to SRK in overseas. How can one cant beat even once in all these 20 years are these stars salman and aamir just restricted to India

Do we really need such statements? "He doesn't need records, he lives in hearts"? Every star's fan does this instead of discussing! We're not bashing anyone, just discussing a particular aspect.

For a man who's the biggest star etc. it should have been a piece of cake to give an ATBB now! Nowadays it is easier due to inflation, expansion in business, rise of new multiplexes, age of hype.

Just wanted to discuss why such a popular star has not been able to give a business-redefining hit or ATBB whereas other less expected stars did it.

I'm an overseas audience so for me he is giving record breaking movies so that's all I give a damn about.
My money doesn't go into India's collections so who cares.

Is it really so necessery to break records? The guy even at the age of 47 gives a 200 crore hit worldwide & is the most consistent & still in demand... Salman has always been like this, when he has a bad phase it just continues for such long time & when he has his purple phase even that does... Aamir was really not worth talking about before lagaan as far as BO is concerned... Why not take all these factors into account? SRK is a businessman, is the owner of a production house, owns a cricket franchise, has world tours & what not ! & is still among the top 5 actors... He is very secure personally with a beautiful family... What more can a man ask for? How much more a man can be successful? U just can't expect him to always rule BO, then why? If he doesn't define success who does? A man coming from a middle class family takes bollywood by storm with nothing very special, nor looks, nor connections... Starting from being an anti hero & den ppl accepting him as a romantic star... After DDLJ, a heartthrob sensation... DDLJ: The Longest Running film bollywood Starring SRK... He being the biggest international Bollywood star currently...

What more can a man ask for?

Now a question to ur question: is it really important to always set new records & ATBB's? Does that only define SRK?

Salman remianed stuck in his court cases , never media Friendly ...lolz He has chattis ka akdaa with Media . Does performances in awards and ofcourse the bad image (created by media or watever) but yes...main reason for Repulsion.

Aamir toh has banned award functions , obviously no Performances also ...infact He became media friendly past 7-8 years...

As much I ador SRK, his poor choice in films over past years since KANK has been big reason for his downfall among Khans, Once he used to be at top most position! He needs a Dabaang or TZP kinda film, a fiilm that is entertaining n still appeals to both crtics and audience - then he might give us a record braking film!
