BETTER ACTRESS?! Aish or Preity?!

😉😆 Okay, I have always wanted to get the confirmation about who was the better actress. Both were extremely popular and competitors in their time. However, Preity just fell off the face of the earth when Aish came back strong in 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2010 before she had her baby. Preity had a lot of good performances in films like Sangarash, Dil Chahta Hai, Armaan, Kal Ho Nal Ho (peak of her success), Veer Zaara, Last Lear, Heaven on Earth, etc. But, when I see her filmography, it leaves a lot to be desired for. Most of her success came with those SRK/Johar/Chopra films later in her career. Aish had a more deeper range especially with regional, international, and her main Bollywood films. In fact, we can say Aish is comparable or slightly better. She did Iruvar, HDDCS, Taal, Josh, Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai, Devdas, Chokher Bali, Khakee, Raincoat, Guru, Jodhaa Akbar, Provoked, Bride and Prejudice, Umrao Jaan, Guzaarish, etc. Irrespective of her success ratio and not starring with the Khans that much after Devdas, Aish had more depth as Nandini in HDDCS, Mansi in Taal, Shirley in Josh, the rape victim in HDAPH, Paro in Devdas, the villain in Khakee, Niru in Raincoat, Sujata in Guru, Jodhaa in Jodhaa Akbar, Kiranjit as the abused housewife in Provoked, Ameeran in Umrao Jaan, Hrithik's caregiver in Guzaarish, etc. 12 characters I named which were portrayed by Aish with utmost conviction and sincerity. Preity had her Naina in KHNH, Zaara in Veer Zaara, the battered wife in Heaven on Earth, etc. I feel her depth falls short of Aish when I list out all the characters. Aish couldn't do comedy, but when did Preity do a memorable comedy role? Does Salaam Namaste even count as a real comedy? Or perhaps that forgettable one she did with Govinda? It makes Action Replayy look even better. 😆

Both are great. Preity was perfect in films like Kya Kehna, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Salaam Namaste - perfect girl for the role. I don't think Ash could do roles like this justice.

Aishwarya Rai is a better actress.

I can't picture Pretty doing a Devdas or a HDCS and Aish fails doing films like Salaam Namaste but I think Aish is better than Pretty.

I remember following Preity's career when I was little and I think I've seen most of her movies minus one or two releases. I remember liking most of the stuff she was in even if it didn't turn out to be super successful. I didn't starting following up on Aish flicks until later on, I haven't seen a lot of her earlier work but I have liked her in almost everything I have seen thus far.I think they're bout about the same acting wise.. everyone calls Aish the directors actor so i thinkkk her roles have been a lot more memorable even if the films have done bad at the box-office .. whereas Preity doesn't have a lot of memorable roles to remember her by.

since many months, both are disappeared from films so for me both are in same boat . whether you can call them worst or good..

Well, I love them both as actresses. They both have done some great films. But if I had to choose I think I'd go with Aishwarya because I just loved more of her films than I did of Preity's. But honestly, both are great actresses!! I only chose Aishu cuz I had to :)
