After some time though, I started noticing why people like him. He's actually a good actor. He does emotional scenes well. Yes, he still overacts from time to time, but his emotional scenes make up for it.

My mom always says that actors actually act as themselves on screen. No matter what, there is always parts of their personality portraying there. The same is true for Salman. He has a very childish, kind of spoiled part to him that he portrays on screen. But there is also a lot of feeling there. That feeling reaches me in front of the TV and that never happens with bad actors.

And, he can dance.

I can't stand his pre-Dabanng looks though. I think he was only hot in Dabanng.

And as idiotic as he looked in the final scene of HDDCS, that was actually the type of guy he was portraying. He needed to be immature, childish and stupid because that's why Aish's character chooses Ajay who is the more mature, responsible man.

Finally an interesting topic on Bollywood forum after long time. That said, let me take the back seat for time being and enjoy the discussion with bag full of popcorn.

He was so good and natural in Tere Naam but after that I dunno what happened I mean I understand if he wants to act as himself in the films but sometimes I wish he made a bit more effort.

I disagree with majority of the comments in this thread. u all need to easy down on the bashing, because words like "he is an a** and crap" are clearly bashing the actor which is against IF rules. If you think he's not a good actor then thats ur opinion, just as no1 questions your opinion, you shouldn't question anyone elses. This topic is bound to lead to fights between salman fans and non-salman fans... so why make a topic which would instigate fights?

I liked him in Baghban, No Entry, Kyon Ki, Baabul, Dabanng...
