City guy and supermodel Muzamil Ibrahim starrer to hit silver screen

IN his real life, this supermodel who has ruled the ramps for around a decade is yet to decide of tying a nuptial-knot; but in reel life Muzamil Ibrahim is all set to hit the silver screen with something, which many of his fans would certainly love to watch him proposing, in the movie: Will You Marry Me.

Country's youngest ever winner at the Gladrags Manhunt in 2003, Muzamil who hails from Sanat Nagar area of Srinagar City, is playing a lead role in the movie scheduled to be released this Friday.

THE MOVIE
In Will You Marry Me he shares the star cast with prominent actors Shreyas Talpade and Rajeev Khandelwal as the trio play friends while Celina Jaitley is playing a lead actress.

As the Bollywood gossip goes about the movie, airing promos on leading TV channels, is about the "bond between these three friends from their college days to their growing up.

"The trio opine that marriage is waste of life and have a bet between themselves never to get married and enjoy life as it is," says a Bollywoood source.

"But the story takes a twist when something inevitable happens and Muzamil finds himself drawn irresistibly towards his college time sweetheart and latter plunging himself into the abyss of marriage by popping the question to her: Will you marry me"?
"His friends advice him otherwise and thus starts the conflict between the friends and it goes deeper and deeper as the film progresses unless at one point we see all the friends go their separate ways but not without causing its share of repercussions," the sources added.
"It's a film which starts on a lighter note and leads you to more serious situations in life and how at the end, besides losing the love of his life, Muzamil stands up for his childhood friends. And the two friends having realized their mistakes make up to Muzamil."

ACTOR SPEAKS
When contacted Muzamil, who is busy with the promotion of his movie said: "I am playing the character of a very cool guy named Nikhil who brings the swagger and style into the film."
"I am the suave one or you can say the balanced one amongst all the three," Muzamil told Greater Kashmir.
Though he agreed to be playing the role where he breaks his bet with his childhood friends over the never to marry pledge, he remained tight lipped about the climax saying "let some suspense remain there till Friday."

HOTTEST ICON PAST
Muzamil, rated by leading dailies as best model for many consecutive years, has often been termed as the hottest face in the subcontinent. But to rule the ramps didn't come as a cakewalk.

In 2003, Muzamil had just started pursuing his Mechanical Engineering at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi when he tried his luck for the Gladrags Manhunt as an "amateur walk-in". Despite having no prior knowledge of the modeling world, he emerged as the winner at 19.
Since then there was no looking back for this Kashmiri hunk. He walked the ramps of a 1000 odd fashion shows including those for elite brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Zegnia, Hugo Boss, Just Cavali and Guess. And as about Bollywood, Will You Marry Me is his second venture after Pooja Bhatt's Dhooka.
Though being a part of the glamour world, Muzamil says he's "proud to be a Muslim and the religion is amongst his priorities." He tries to offer Salah five times a day and the Prayer Mat, he says, is an integral part of his make-up van. And what he misses most of his homeland Kashmir is the religious fervour in the month of Ramadhan. Muzamil says it reminds him of his childhood days of reading a Parah of Quran, every morning during the Holy month. "And I still try to read a Parah, everyday in the Blessed month," he says.

BOTTOMLINE
But what are the bachelor's real life plans on marriage? Well, to this question his answer remains the same, the way it was a year back during a short trip to Kashmir. "Well, it's a long way to go," he replies and spontaneously laughs to add: "Abhi Mein Salman Khan Nahin Bana Hun. Jab Banunga tab Dekhaingay."
