Just me and my hand tonight: Ravi Kissen
The inmate who shagged himself

The inmates in the Bigg Boss's house are aware of the presence of the 28 cameras and they conduct themselves accordingly. The only place where they can be 'themselves' is the restroom area and the inmates take full advantage of it. So did Ravi Kissen.

The Bhojpuri actor who keeps cribbing about the 'separation' that he is going through from his wife because of this show, was trying to find some solace in the loo doing what any other 'man' in his position would have done in a place sans any form of recreation and engagement.

However, his idea of relief proved to be a shocker for fellow inmate Aryan Vaid who caught him in that awkward position courtesy the curtains in the loo. This is one act the Bhojpuri superstar would never liked to be seen in!

Party time in Bigg Bosses house

The celebration is slowly reaching its climax, we mean the New Year's Eve. While most of us are busy planning our celebrations, there are some who won't be able to plan what they would have loved to do. For them life at the moment is obeying the Bigg Boss. Yes we are talking about the contestants of the show.

If you have already started feeling sympathetic towards them. The good suggestion would be to wait and read more about the Bigg Bosses surprise plan for the contestants on the New Year's Eve.

Adds the Chief Creative Director Sandiip Sickand"The Bigg Bosses house will come alive with celebrations on the eve. They will be having a sumptuous time being in the house with special events, dancing and lot of fun to match the occasion. Since they can't have their family and friends to give them company, we thought about making it a special event."

Bigg Boss has acted tough so far and the contestants surely deserve a break from the gruelling routine of the tasks that they have to perform everyday. Let's hope this celebration provides the much needed zing back in the contestants lives.

Notice it?

(Posted on 29 December 2006)

If Bollywood did it in a big way this year, little brother television had to follow suit. We are talking product placement. If the cola cans in Dhoom 2 and the Sony hardware in Kabul Express got your eyeballs, the same trick can be used on the tube, can't it?

So, while the Bigg Boss gang has been vigorously scrubbing the floors of the house with Lizol disinfectant (and washing their clothes in Tide detergent), they descended to even lower market brands this week. It's probably a diktat from above that they mouth the name of the brand as many times as possible while the camera zooms in on the product they are supposedly using. So, this week Amit, Rakhee and the rest of the gang got down to the task of cleaning the kitchen burners with a bright can of something called Easy Off Bang that removes grease stains in a jiffy. Wow! What better way to get the message across to the housewives, when the buxom Rakhee and even the gracious Carol and the suave Rahul all sing the praises of the said Bang, happily grubbing their fingers in the product in a 'real' situation. A win-win situation all round, no doubt.

Rakhi Sawant turns spiritual....

Trust Rakhi Sawant to make makes news wherever she goes!

Whether it is dancing to the tunes of raunchy numbers in films or creating a sensation at the house of Bigg Boss, Rakhi is everywhere!

Rakhi, it seems has become very religious in the past few months, and is getting drawn towards Christianity. This is quite evident if you have noticed her reading Bible or singing praises of Lord Jesus in Bigg Boss.

Incidentally, the glam girl got this habit from Carol Gracias who use to read out passages to her from the holy Bible.

It is not very surprising that Rakhi, being a Hindu should be drawn towards Christianity considering that her mother has been practicing Christianity for the past three years.

The item girl visits the church regularly and had also plans to attend the midnight mass this year until she was called back to the house of Bigg Boss.

Rakhi however does not plan to change her religion. According to her boyfriend Abhishek Awasthi, Rakhi is also a great devotee of Lord Ganesha and celebrates Ganesh Chaturthi at her home every year. That's an interesting mix! What say?

Ravi's wife sent a card to Carol?

It's all happening at Bigg Boss!

The show is making lot of news, thanks to the 'hot and interesting' developments inside the house.

As it was Ravi Kissen and wife Preeti's 13th wedding anniversary, the channel offered Preeti the chance to send him some cards and gifts, realizing that they will not be able to celebrate D-day together.

Now, the cards that Preeti sent to her hubby have created quite a stir in the Bigg Boss's house. Out of the few cards that she sent Ravi, one was also marked for Carol Gracias. Apparently, in the card, she thanked Carol for giving Ravi a foot massage, hoping she would receive one too after Carol comes out of the show.

As expected, Carol was furious and kept sulking throughout, and no amount of explanation on the part of Ravi could convince her.

However, Preeti denies having sent any such card to Carol, and puts the blame on Sony channel who she holds responsible for the entire drama.

Sony on the other hand claims they have evidence to prove that Preeti sent that card to Carol.

Now who is right? But can we now hear the real story please?

Bigg goss: The inside story

The only non-celebrity on Big Boss, Abhijatha Umesh aka Ragini talks about her experience in the house.

Abhijatha aka Ragini

You have to understand, Bigg Boss happened to me quite by chance. I have lived in Chennai most of my life and came to Mumbai just a month before I entered the house. I came to the city to find work. I circulated some modelling photographs that my brother a fashion photographer had taken of me. Really the modelling effort was just a shot at making some extra money.

A few days later a friend of a friend suggested I get in touch with a production company for an audition for Bigg Boss. When they communicated the idea of the show to me I was thrilled, it was like living a dream. Getting a shot at doing this was like living a movie. For adventure and mystery I rallied forward and aimed at getting a spot for myself on the show.

But all that went bust when the channel called and said I didn't make it. I moved on and was out shopping at a mall when bang out of the blue that fateful call came. They told me I was on the show and had just a weeks time to prepare. I was told I was to be the plant called Ragini Shetty. When I was told I would be sharing space with celebrities, I didn't bat an eyelid after all I'm no Bhojpuri film fan and Ravi Kishen was unknown to me, ditto with the others like Amit Sadh and Rupali Ganguly. I had just about heard of Anupama Verma and Carol Gracias. So from day one I was comfortable with the people in the house.

The biggest challenge was lying about my identity. I had to be someone I wasn't, respond to a name that wasn't mine, not just for a few hours of shooting but 24/7. I had to perform pujas and fast like I had been doing all of that all my life. Some of the people like Rupali, Carol, Kashmira and Rakhi got wind of my true role on the show and didn't like the fact that I was lying to them. I was snubbed often. And it was uncomfortable for me too as all of us were getting increasingly close. They used to test me and see if I could perform as my claim to fame was that I was a South Indian actress. I was made to dance like Rakhi Sawant, Kashmira Shah, all of which I bungled.

I got along with almost everyone. The people who were on the same wavelength as me were Aryan Vaid, Rahul Roy, Anupama Verma, Carol Gracias and slowly Kashmira Shah who eventually became very dear to me.

As far as being non-celebrity I found no difference between the others on the show and myself because for the two months that we were together we were all experiencing the same emotions, be it missing family, our lives.

I think the biggest difference was the fact that being celebrities they were suddenly stripped off their identity and appeared as normal people to the public and the challenge is going back to their old predictable lives. Ravi Kishen had the biggest climb down. He is such a huge star but there he was in the kitchen making coffee for everyone. One person who sticks out in my memory is Rupali who was consistently mean. She used to interrupt conversations between people, I suspect just to hog camera time. Additionally she played herself up as a middle-class girl to garner favour with the TV viewing public when in reality she lives a very glamourous life.

I got very close to Kashmira and Deepak Tijori and I think I went through a personal hell after they left which is why you see me breaking down in their absence.

Coming out of the show, I'm happy for the experience, it's once in a lifetime chance. I don't know why I got picked out of all the other girls that auditioned. Having said that what I could have done without was the bitching and back- biting that was done by some of the people in the house. I'm a normal girl and crave to go back to my normal life. It was difficult being surrounded by attention-seeking people like Rakhi Sawant, Amit Sadh and Rupali. I do not know how to embellish, all I had going for me was my intelligence and honesty. Towards the end I cried to Bigg Boss begging to be let out of the house and back to the old world with normal people.

In the end it's commendable that anyone has survived the Bigg Boss experience and hats off to ol' gang on the show.

Days 57, 58 & 59: Are Rakhi and Baba feeling alienated?
It looks like all the housemates have grouped against the new wild card entrants. We caught Rakhi and Baba sitting on the veranda, talking about Ravi, Amit, Rahul, Carol and Roopali. They could already sense the aloofness of these people towards them. Baba told Rakhi that this time, in the nominations, the sword will be hanging over their heads. Rakhi agreed and said that everybody was feeling threatened by Baba. Carol and Roopali are mere puppets in the hands of Rahul. Also, that Roopali is not fond of Carol. She is just playing the game shrewdly. They share a fake relationship. Is that true, Roopali? Whew! then, we have to admit that she is the cleverest of all. Laughter challenge in the house: On day 58, Bigg boss gave the housemates a hilarious task. According to it, everybody has to laugh out aloud after each and every sentence they speak. Ravi, Roopali and Carol seemed to be enjoying themselves, filling the house with laughter. A good task that made them forget that the next day was the dreadful nominations day. Time for some masti In the evening, Bigg Boss had the screening of the film Masti. The housemates had fun watching the hilarious movie. But Roopali kahan chup baith sakti thi? At night, in the pink room she told Carol that Bigg Boss showed the movie for just one person. That is Ravi. She said that Ravi was being mean to his family. Carol vehemently defended him by shouting: 'How dare you say that Roopali? Ravi loves his wife.' Baba and Rakhi get maximum votes for eviction: What is going on? It seems the housemates have decided to vote out the wild card entrants - Rakhi and Baba. The 59th day, that is the day for nominations, started with the song Ek din bik jayega, maati ke mol'. Temperatures were high already. Baba was the first person to be called in the confession room.Baba nominated Carol and Ravi. Why? Because although Carol is hardworking and nice, she doesn't know how to make a new entrant comfortable. She avoids Baba and stays aloof from him most of the time. About Ravi, he said he was always trying to boast about himself, which is irritating. Ravi nominated Amit and Baba. Baba has not gone through all the pains that they've faced. He is attached to other housemates and can't nominate anyone of them. Baba is an easy target. About Amit, he said his mood swings are getting intolerable. Even Rahul nominated Baba. It seems Baba is the victim of the week. Rahul said that it is easy to nominate Baba as he is not emotionally attached to him. He nominated Amit as he feels Amit wants to leave and is not doing the tasks with all his heart. Rakhi is angry with Carol: Yesterday night, Carol woke Rakhi up and asked her to empty Ragini's bed as she was missing Ragini. That was very mean of her. Moreover, when Ragini was around, she didn't behave well with her, so why all the fuss? This is the reason why she nominated Carol. She nominated Roopali as she is fake and dirty. She is not a friend to Carol. Roopali nominated Rahul and Rakhi. She said it wouldn't make a difference if Rahul was thrown out as he is strong enough to handle it. She chose Rakhi because she is not fond of her. Carol nominated Baba and Rakhi. She doesn't trust Rakhi and about Baba, she is not very attached to him. Amit nominated Rahul and Rakhi. He feels Rakhi is not fit to be in the house and Rahul is boring. He doesn't stand up for anybody or anything. Keys to a great New Year party: The New year celebrations kicked off with a treasure hunt. All the contestants were asked to look for 60 keys placed inside the swimming pool. They were also supplied with 7 boxes with gifts inside them. They had to find the keys to their boxes. Everybody was in the swimming pool, looking for keys in the water. Luckily they found all of them. As they opened the treasure boxes, they were surprised to find gifts like - food, drinks, non-stop music, decorations, and a special 10 mins telephone talk-time with their loved ones, this was to be equally shared between all inmates. They found all their gifts in the store room. Amit went in and grabbed the cell phone. And immediately made a call to Neeru. Next was Ravi, who used up all the 10 minutes talk-time talking to his wife. Others didn't get a chance. How mean! In the evening, everybody was dressed up for the new years party. Sultry Rakhi wore a sexy evening dress, while Roopali sported a ghagra-choli. The party went on till late at night.

After the party, we caught Roopali and Amit cooking new gossips. They spoke about Ravi. Roopali told him that Ravi is crazy about Carol. While Amit asked Roopali to stay away from this frustrated guy. Kya yaar, New Year Party mein to kuch achchi baatein karo!

No party on Carol's birthday
Day 56: Kya hain yeh khufia karya? Rahul was called in the confession room early in the morning and given a secret mission. According to the 'khufia karya', everybody had to behave as if Carol was invisible. They were not allowed to talk or even respond to her. If they were successful, then Bigg Boss would arrange for a birthday bash for Carol by the end of the day. Everybody was angry with Bigg Boss and refused to carry on with the task as it was the poor girl's birthday. Ragini looked quite upset. So did Roopali, who is Carol's 'best friend'. Meanwhile, Bigg Boss called Carol in the confession room as soon as she woke up. He gave Carol another secret mission. Firstly, he told Carol about the mission he gave to the housemates and then asked her to try and break their mission by making them speak or respond to her. How mean is that! Bhai yeh kya tarika hain Birthday wish karne ka! Poor Carol had to abide by his order. Everybody was furious with Bigg Boss: Carol looked beautiful in a black dress and designer earrings. She was glowing. But yeh kya? No one was speaking to her. She kept on trying to make them speak. She went after Ragini and started following her like a shadow. She hugged Rakhi and tried to emotionally influence Roopali. In the process, Ragini failed to keep on with her act. We also caught Ravi speaking to Carol in sign language. Bhai, this way you guys will fail in the task! It was 3 pm in the afternoon. No one has had lunch today. But why? That's because Carol didn't eat. Rakhi insisted that Roopali and Rahul have a bite. But no one seemed to be in a mood to eat. So, Carol went to the kitchen and picked up roti and sabzi in a plate and started to eat. 'I am eating so that you people don't starve yourselves,' she said. Housemates fail in their secret mission: Nearly at 6:00 p.m. Bigg Boss declared the result of the 'khufia misson.' He announced the housemates had failed, but Carol had completed her secret mission successfully. So there wouldn't be a bash for Carol in the evening. Was this a punishment for Carol or the housemates? Carol was called in the confession room after some time. Bigg Boss wanted to give her a gift as she was successful in her task. Bigg Boss asked her to choose anyone in the house for a candle light dinner. Carol refused the gift on the grounds that she wanted to celebrate her birthday with everybody in the house. Bigg Boss called Rahul in the confession room and asked him to 'manao' Carol. But even Rahul failed to make her agree to accept the gift. Later, Bigg boss sent the housemates a beautiful cake (sent by Carol's family) and the housemates celebrated her birthday at last. Day 57: The eviction day again:
It was the beginning of yet another eviction day. The song "yamma, yamma, yeh khobsoorat sama" was playing. Everybody woke up one by one. Roopali went to the store room and was delighted to find 5 red bags kept in a line – for the 5 housemates who were nominated for eviction. It was time for packing their bags. Ragini leaves the house
Ravi hugged Ragini as she was ready to leave. Everybody waved her goodbye. There was a strange silence in the house as she left. The only sound we could hear was Roopali sobbing aloud. But why is Roopali crying? She is feeling bad that no one wants her in the house, and yet she is not allowed to leave. What irony! First Rakhi and then Rahul consoled her and asked her to calm down. Rakhi shifts on Ragini's bed
That is quite mean! As soon as Ragini left the house, Rakhi prepared to shift on her bed. Carol and Roopali is quite upset about it. Bhai, use gaye ek ghanta bhi naheen hua hain! At night, Carol spoke up and asked Rakhi to shift back to her bed. Rakhi was adamant. She replied that she is sleepy now and will shift in the morning. Carol dear, Rakhi ko hilana asaan naheen hain!

Guys play a prank on Rakhi
Rakhi is scared. There are only 3 girls left in the pink room. It looks quite empty. Rahul, Ravi and Baba played a prank on her, as she told them how terrified she was feeling. Rahul said that today is 'amawas ki raat' and he gets a violent attack on these nights. Rakhi looked pale and very scared as Rahul told her that he becomes very dangerous and can be harmful to others. He even gave the example of his movie 'Junoon,' in which he played a similar character. The hero in that movie used to get transformed into a tiger. Rakhi got really scared and asked the guys to take care of Rahul, as we saw her running towards the pink room.
