as far our religion says we should respect each and every religion. we can highest respect them by standing there or any other way but we cannot perform rituals. but we are strictly not allowed to do aarty or any ritual and we cant even have the prashad as it has been offered to other god. it shows we are sharing Allah with others. which is an unforgivable sin. we all muslims try to avoid that.
it's our way to show respect as i didnt saw the epi cant say how she reacted.

Literally, what world we are living in where people are taking all these things written 1000-2000 years back seriously.
Common, even I know and try to follow thing written in Vedas, Ramayan, Mahabharata or Geetha.
But then I don't follow things blindly, I would rather have personal opinion about what is right and what is wrong. I would have no problem about participating in namaaz. That also comes from my strong faith in my religion.

We respect other religions, but we cannot participate in their rituals as it is regarded as SHIRK.That does not mean we don't respect them.If it was the case,Gauhar would not be standing with them and participating in it.We cannot worship Idol and that's the reason she didn't perform the religion.Islam is not that strict,it is just perceived as one.

What is 'we can't perform rituals'. I would happily do that for any religion. Nothing in this world can take anything from me, until I stop believing in my religion.

It's good to see people from other religions will happily perform namaz.
Pardon me, I donno much about Hindu religion but does this religion prohibit you from performing other religion's rituals?
I believe in personal beliefs too. If a person is not willing to follow Islam's instruction that's their wish. Islam won't force them to do it. But that does NOT mean Islam allows them to do it.
There are many people who believe in Quran and follow it religiously regardless of the fact that it was written 1400 yrs ago.
So when anyone is calling it illogical, it's hurting their emotions.
So I would request members not to use this kinda words! 😊

It's okay...Muslims have their own set of beliefs...we should respect their beliefs...

PS: I'm Hindu and understand why Muslims can't participate in our rituals 😊

It was shocking to see how members brought religion into the topic and said As Muslim one must distance oneself from other religion...sorry but every religion first teaches you to be respectful towards other religion and that includes showing your reverence to God in all forms...and I plainly refuse to believe that a popular religion as Islam can promote such beliefs...sorry!! I strongly feel that there are certain things even in religion which can be manipulated politically...and thats true for all beliefs...
If you dont want to participate in other festivities and think they will take you away from your religion...its your narrow mentality...do not blame it on your religion...pls!!!
If someone does not participate its fine but bringing religion into it is highly offensive...
Islam also teaches many other things right, it does not ask you to do item numbers or wear skimpy clothes but Gauhar does all that...where does her beliefs or her reverence to Allah go then???
And yes god does not get offended by lack of CAPS LOCK..so pls dont such promote such beliefs...
P.S: I m proud that my religion teaches me to be liberal and respect all other religions...And I m sure your religion does that too...so just dont write such things which would give it a bad name...
*No Offence to any sect but highly offended by the way members brought the religion thing!!!*

Well, this topic is complete religious topic now. I don't know which religion you are in, but with whatever knowledge I have on all the religion, I can guarantee you, no religion is liberal. It's your state that's liberal, not the religion. If you want to challenge, please let me know your religion, I will tell about your religion from the book. If you don't follow the book of your religion, that's another issue. But claiming that every religion accepts other religion is absolutely wrong.

Well, we live in a multicultural and Multi religious world and every religion teaches us not to hurt other religion or people of other faith including Islam. So should be following that. We can participate in each other's festivals, but don't participate in the final worship part of it. Because the God is defined differently in different religion, although it might be referring to that only one entity.

Which is right and which way is wrong, lets not get into that, let that be a matter of individual choices and all books are open for everyone to read and make their choice, if someone is an atheist that's his/her belief and I'm sure they have also taken their conscious decision. So I have absolutely no issue with people's belief.

If Gauhar, didn't participate, that's her belief and I don't want to comment on that. Worshipping a form of God is completely at a different level than violating a dress code or other day to day instructions, even according to religion. So they aren't compareable. That's not a logical way...

Call us narrow-minded but the fact is that Allah has said tht we dont need help from anyone else besides him. He is the Creator and the Sustainer and He deserves all our worship.
We don't need to worship other gods because Allah is there to guide and protect us. As simple as that.
This is the belief of the Muslim and if u ppl r so open-minded, u wont question it.
