This is the belief of the Muslim and if u ppl r so open-minded, u wont question it.

very well said
and this is how it is 😊

Pardon me, I donno much about Hindu religion but does this religion prohibit you from performing other religion's rituals?
I believe in personal beliefs too. If a person is not willing to follow Islam's instruction that's their wish. Islam won't force them to do it. But that does NOT mean Islam allows them to do it.
There are many people who believe in Quran and follow it religiously regardless of the fact that it was written 500-600 yrs ago.
So when anyone is calling it illogical, it's hurting their emotions.
So I would request members not to use this kinda words! 😊

That's exactly what I say, it would be good if other religion's people participate in pujas too. Wouldn't it be even better? then why not to do that?

BTW, I think I have stretched it too much. I am sorry if I hurt anyone's sentiments. After all, I need to respect others beliefs.

It was shocking to see how members brought religion into the topic and said As Muslim one must distance oneself from other religion...sorry but every religion first teaches you to be respectful towards other religion and that includes showing your reverence to God in all forms...and I plainly refuse to believe that a popular religion as Islam can promote such beliefs...sorry!! I strongly feel that there are certain things even in religion which can be manipulated politically...and thats true for all beliefs...
If you dont want to participate in other festivities and think they will take you away from your religion...its your narrow mentality...do not blame it on your religion...pls!!!
If someone does not participate its fine but bringing religion into it is highly offensive...
Islam also teaches many other things right, it does not ask you to do item numbers or wear skimpy clothes but Gauhar does all that...where does her beliefs or her reverence to Allah go then???
And yes god does not get offended by lack of CAPS LOCK..so pls dont such promote such beliefs...
P.S: I m proud that my religion teaches me to be liberal and respect all other religions...And I m sure your religion does that too...so just dont write such things which would give it a bad name...
*No Offence to any sect but highly offended by the way members brought the religion thing!!!*

I'm sorry but I think you are extremely naive and misinformed. From what I understand about Islam, idol worship is a big no no and hence I don't see anything wrong with Gauhar not wanting to participate. As a matter of fact, idol worship is considered shirk i.e. associating partners with Allah which is much much bigger than her other sins you are talking about i.e. wearing skimpy clothes or doing item number. As a Hindu, I don't expect Gauhar to comply to my religion nor will I ever comply to her religion. She should be free to practice her faith and I should be free to practice my faith without infringing upon each others individual liberties. If Hindu's are going to mazars and mosques out of their ignorance then it is really their problem, they should not expect Muslims to do the same by going to temples.

Secondly, I don't know what religion you are from but if you are a Hindu then I must say that in no way does Hinduism consider all religions the same or all religions leading to god. That is just neo liberal nonsense that has been propagated recently and people have started believing it without questioning or investigating their books. Dharma is defined in Hindu books and every religion is not Dharma.

Religion , is a personal relationship with God. You have no right to questions , judge any decision made by someone.. if someone wants to practice in Durga Pooja they will , if they don't that is their choice. even if that choice is based from religious Point of View or personal reasons. religion and religious rituals GO Hand IN Hand .. if someone doesn't take part in a RELIGIOUS event due to their religious belief then well their POV . and saying no need to bring religion into it .is very childish because religious rituals and religious practices are all based on a person's religion which will mold their actions.
and gauhar clothes are NO Concern of yours. Gauhar doing item numbers is not your concern either. she is not questionable to you . You can't question others decisions in life .. nor can others question your decision in life.. learn to respect.

lastly - respect is being able to stand in other peoples religious event yet respecting your own religious belief. that my friend is true tolerance , respect and being so called "Liberal" . that Gauhar did that .. She respected others religion and respected her own religion at the same time.

I dont have a problem with any XYZ not participating..I never even asked Gauhar to participate...😆
But I was offended by the way members bought in religion to make the reason...
