The First Frost bags eight nominations at 30th Asian Television Awards including ones for SangYifan

The First Frost, one of the biggest blockbuster Chinese dramas of the year has got eight nominations at the 30th Asian Television Awards in Indonesia. The ceremony will take place from November 28 to 30 in Jakarta. The First Frost has been nominated in eight different categories in the awards. Bai Jingting and Zhang Ruonan have been nominated as Best Actor and Actress. The actor won the ‘Best Popular Actor’ award at the Global OTT Awards 2025. It was a part of the Busan Film Festival. Bai Lu also won an award for Northward. The First Frost that aired on Netflix was loved from its first episode due to its acting, exquisite camerawork and emotional story-telling.

List of nominations bagged by The First Frost

Bai Jingting and Zhang Ruonan played the roles of Sang Yan and Wen Yifan in the series. The young actors delivered breakout performances that captivated audiences the world over. Actress Zhang Miaoyi who essayed the role of Qiao Qiao is there in Best Supporting Actress category. The Theme Song ‘Willful’ by Mayday is also nominated. It was also a huge hit. The First Frost has snagged nominations in other categories like Best Cinematography, Editing, Scriptwriting (Qu Luning), Best Production. The First Frost was in the top ten of the Non-English category throughout its run on Netflix.

Bai Jingting’s Mobius on Netflix also did reasonably well. In the series, Sang Yan and Wen Yifan play school sweethearts who hope to build a life together. However, life takes a drastic turn for Wen Yifan (Zhang Ruonan) and she leaves Sang Yan. After eight years, they meet in Chongqing. Both are flooded with nostalgia of their time together, and the emotions resurface. Sang Yan puts in everything to heal Wen Yifan’s broken souls as they try to revive their dream of being together as life partners.
