See I'm not a hardcore Muslim or anything
But I do know when as a photographer , I am working at churches or temples for weddings I pray with them
My mom tells me it's inappropriate and I shouldn't
It's personal choice , I believe in God but I am not a practicing Muslim as gauhar . I don't do halal halal all the time , but I believe in God and I have certain values
I think gauhars religious values are contradicting
But then there are certain Muslims who live the life of an average Canadian (drinking beers , wearing short clothes , partying) but still pray 5 times 😲
So it all goes down to personal preferences

Hinduism in its true form is not really a religion...it's real name is Sanatan Dharma...it was a culture...where people practiced non-violence and respected every form of life from lowest to highest...and tried to solve the mystery of God...for that they did yoga and meditation cuz our ancient yogis say through it you can gain direct experience of God and realize the truth
It even allows atheism...cuz Sanatan Dharma doesnt encourage blind faith...it encourages direct experience
And everyone is free to carve their own way to God
And we also believe there's one God only, who we call Parabrahma...which Muslims call Allah and Jesus referred to him as father
Later it got corrupt and people started practicing casteism ...which is against Sanatan Dharma cause it says to treat everyone equally

Once you do the namaz and declare the shahadah then you are a muslim. This is the very definition of Islam. Then you can't turn around and perform Hindu practices as many may contradict Islam. Ofcourse you can call yourself anything you want but it would be factually wrong.

And yes as per Hindu books (Vedas and Gita) , idol worship , worshiping many gods is wrong. Not many people may know this here but many Muslim kings extended the ahl-e-kitab status to Hindus and Buddhists after figuring out that Hindu books also talk of only one god and that idol worship was corruption.

But despite all these things there are still many things in Hinduism that are not in Islam or there is conflict. Like the concept of Karma (cause and effect) which Muslims may not fully agree wtih. Then there is re-incarnation. There are many other things.

I don't understand why it is or why it should be someone's problem as to whether a religion prohibits someone from taking part in other religious rituals. In Islam, there is a belief of only one God. It is against Islam to bow down to another God, but it is also part of Islam to show respect to other religions.
And it would be best if others done that as well.
And yes some Muslims do take part in other rituals, but that is something they do themselves and nothing to do with what Islam says.

I did not even see any clip ...I dont even know which XYZ participated and which one did not...
But there was a previous topic in which many people jumped up to say they are proud of Gauhar and Muslims do this and do that..This freaking Annoyed me!! How can you speak in behalf of the multi-crore community. It is to each his own and its a sin to generalise religion or any topic as such!!!

religion is a sensitive topic when it cutsdown to ppl but what I feel is they all teach same in diff rituals or ways... one doesnt hv to do just to please any1 anything so if she strongly feels its not needed to show she knws all about dashera thats perfectly fine,.. there could b many reasons..!! we hvnt got to see tht yet epi nor her reasoning so its difficult to assume.. i personally respect all religions as same n follow much of others despite being a hindu.
