See that depends on the fact that what I actually feel about my spouse though I will try whole-heartedly but at the end the answer is Not really because It is very easy to say that love care and patience can heal a person. As much as it seems intrguing and thrilling by watching mentally distrurbed character in Tv Shows/films but in real life it is very difficult to handle such people especially when you are alone without any emotional support/friend/family which right now Arjun is dealing with. Along with love and care mentally ill people need psychatric treatment, medications and counselling. Living with mentallty distrurbed person is a constant state of emotional strain as you don't know what they might do next?
As far as Arjun is concerned, I don't know he loves Maya or not beacuse he is the most poorly written character whose perspective and emotional POV has never shown properly. From starting to till now he is only character I am not able to understand. At times I feel he loves Maya , at times it seems that he is only attracted to Maya, at times it feels that saanjh and Arjun are not at all compatible and at times seems that Arjun sub-consciously loves Saanjh but didn't realized it yet. and at last it seems he only loves himself.

I do not believe Maya is a killer unlike some of d ppl here. I believe she is redeemable. She did want a normal life, with fam ily n friends, but all took advantage of her. For u it may b small things (not for me), for Maya those things dt hpd were big. If only Vandana wud hv been more patient. If only Arjun did not cross his limits. I won't say she wud hv been cured, but she wud hv been at a much better place than she is now. Seeking help for her also wud hv been much easier.

There r fights n misunderstandings in all families esp after marriage, some leave their families, some stick around. Maya might hv manipulated Arjun, but ultimately it was Arjun who chose to leave his fam, the main reason being he wanted a lavish life. Both were at fault.

Now also i don't understand why he hangs around? Why hasn't he reconciled with his fam or if he is dt vexed why didn't he run away or do suicide? Why does he ask Maya for divorce, why can't he file a case against her? He wud get divorce easily. Wn he can arrange a boxing match n roam around, m sure he can do many things without Maya's knowledge.

Whatever i say u won't understand it, ppl r just diff.

I don't think Arjun only wanted a lavish life - it was Maya who tried to buy him with expensive stuffs. He never even once showed any interest in Maya's wealth before.
And yep he hid stuffs from maya regarding Sanjh but it was not like he was carrying out an EMA with her, he did not really have any ill intentions. But I agree that lies do affect a person but then you can't really ruin one's life for a slip up. Humans make mistakes , as long as the intentions are not evil they can be forgiven.

I am sure there is a resaon for Arjun not directly filing for a divorce. That shall be revealed soon. Otherwise it's a huge blooper on the Cv's part.
I loved the boxing match ; Maya won't understand words. Loved the way he tried to show her that physical pain is nothing to him infront of the mental pain she's causing him. That was the first time he made her taste her own medicine.

Having said so I wouldn't even want a life partner like oh so hot Arnav, Maan, RK and Randhir. If we like a character that doesn't mean we want a life partner like them. We watch TV for entertainment a few like thrill therefore they are prepared for everything that follows. I've seen saner people doing a lot worse without any mental illness whereas Maya is having mental illness she should be treated and handled smartly. I would love to see Maya going Amy's way and I will still love Maya's character. Killer is revealed? Did I missed anything?? oh so the killer is Maya?

I love Amy Dunne too. She's one hella intriguing character! I find Maya immensely interesting as well. Yes she's carrying the whole show on her shoulder since it's a psychological thriller. I have no qualms with her characterization and nor do I wan her to be white, epitome of greatness.
But one should see her acts as those of a psychopath & not try to justify those.
It's funny when people think Arjun & others are the villains and she's the victim of their wrong doings 😆

And no the killer is not revealed but some people find immense pleasure in assuming that Maya's the killer because she's mentally ill.

And they are making their assumptions look like fact that ppl r being confused if they missed any episode 😆😆

This!
Loving a character, it's potrayal and justifying, condoning it's acts are two different things, may be many don't get it. I love my son immensely, admire his courage but tomorrow if he beats up a guy would I justify it saying the other guy asked for it, just because I love my son or would I start hating my son because he beat up a guy. I would do neither of it, I will condemn his actions while I still continue to love him. But guess it's the former with a lot of people.

I loved Shahrukh in both Darr & Baazigar
Doesn't mean I condone his actions in either...

Same with Jen...I love Jen, empathise with Maya's mental condition, but dont condone Maya's actions.. 😃

It definitely does not mean that I hate Maaya, either...Coz all those who think Maaya is the killer are branded Maaya haters 😕😆

TV forums are ajoobas to me. I don't know why criticizing fictional characters irritate or offend people? These are characters, not real persons. 😆
That's why I have limited myself to the BW forum. This is the first time in many years I have been posting regularly in a TV show forum and I see, nothing has changed really. 😆

If I were in Arjun's shoes, I would try to understand Maya. Talk to her about how she is really feeling. I would try to look after her. Also, I wouldn't keep being touchy-feely with someone else in front of her. Try my best to deal with her insecurities. Make her understand that she can't control everything. Keep an eye on her, so that she doesn't hurt herself or others.

I would try to be the best friend that I could. I would try to calm her. Honor some of her demands...but if she is being too unreasonable, I would firmly tell her to be reasonable or else she would lose me. SPEND TIME WITH HER, without talking about Dusky. Keep her away from people who do not approve of her.

I would divide my life so that one side is reserved for Maya and other side for the rest of the world. Keep the two sides away from as much as I could. I wouldn't be oblivious to what is going around me. And of course, take her to a psychiatrist...but wouldn't make her visit alone. I wouldn't manhandle her. If I am very pissed, I would shout at her but wouldn't push her around.

Basically, if I really TRULY love someone, I would try my best to make it work. If I love someone, I want to know each and everything about that person. Instead for wasting my time on cheesy romance, I would try to find out the core of that person. What he likes and what ticks him off. Not just see the things I want to see and ignore the rest of that person. I would see their flaws. If I love someone, I would build my life around them.

But all this is really dependent on how much I love the person and if in our relationship, we are on equal ground. Not in terms of financial positions, but in terms of commitment and feelings. Our love for each other should be equal. Or else, no point trying.

The problem with Maya is that she loves Arjun too much but Arjun doesn't love her. To make her relationship a success, they have to love equally. If she is crazy for Arjun, Arjun should be just as crazy about her. Maya's love is intense...Arjun's "love" however long it lasted was lukewarm. Maya needs someone who can love just as intensely as she can.

Bottom line is : If I love someone, I would fight for them. Help them be a better person.

She can't stand anyone - not even, mother, father, brother anyone close to Arjun. That;'s not insecurity, that's downright a mental issue. She feels she needs to control Arjun and his life as if he's a doll at her hands - that's, again, far from insecurity.

Of course it is a mental issue. So the least I would be doing is convince my partner to take treatment. I will try to get him the best medical help possible. And still if it doesn't get cured and I'm unable to live with him, l'll apply for a divorce citing incurable mental illness. There is no point in taking revenge or manhandling like what Arjun is doing
