I don't think so.
I know it's not expected from someone like MJ
One thing I forgot to mention
In promos they said Maya is here to create new age Mahabharat
So can we expect MJ vs His sons
And Maya watching all this with a popcorn in her hand 🤣
@ libran90, Armu, and Kriti: You all raise some interesting points.
Kriti it does seem like Maya is shaping Rudra into her weapon. The fish selling may not have been about humiliation, but the first break away from MJ to prove to Rudra that if he takes on a challenge, he can succeed. Then the fencing is a way to teach him to go on the defensive, no matter who is opposite him. I mean, if you think about it, in the first episode he was a bit more restrained when he realized he was duelling a woman and today he was a bit more headstrong. Maya really had to move around more. And then the building - she taught him to listen, not just do whatever you think is right. At the same time, she tested his response to danger. Maybe she wants to see how far he'll go and whether he would save the person he hates or not. As parusmiley pointed out, this could mean that, at the end of the day, even if he hates MJ, he would still save MJ's life.
Libran90, I find that with Rishi, Maya just wants to be sure that he is heads over heel about her, but that it isn't actual love. Rishi for her is just a weapon to break MJ's belief that he is the most important in Rishi's life. With the gifts and then the sudden proposal, it seems that all Maya wants out of Rishi is to be able to turn him against MJ and make him crazy about her. I have a feeling that if she does enter the Roy house ever, it'll first be as Rishi's bride. Because Rishi is crazy to have Maya and will do whatever he thinks Maya wants. Maya just needs to plant a seed in his mind and he'll do it. I once again compare him to Yuvraj from Rakht Sambandh. When Sandhya became Vrinda and came back into Yuvraj's life, she slowly molded him so that he would become reliant on her to the point where he fought with his mother (the woman he had listened to the most up until then) and gave Sandhya half his property. Rishi will be like that as well. I don't think Rishi will dump Maya. Maya is too important to Rishi's image already for him to dump. He's bragged about her to his friends, he's bought gifts for her, and he wants to be her knight in shining armour. For him, this is perfect for his image and dumping Maya is not part of that image.
@brown - Rudra always has very pertinent questions, because he uses his head more than his heart. So he is kind of a challenge for Maya also. Sometimes she too gets shaken up by Rudra, which I don't think she likes.
It's not just that. I think Rudra is more headstrong, smart, and responsive than Maya had predicted. She had a plan in mind for both Rishi and Rudra. With Rishi, her plan seems to be working. That's why she always has this smile on her face as if everything is going as planned. But with Rudra, that smile is only there at the beginning. Because Rudra arrives and does what she had thought. But then he surprises her by changing course and doing something else. I don't think she expected him to sell the fish for more than 5000 rupees yesterday and when he did, she was surprised. Up until that point, he had done as she had expected. Same today. She hadn't expected him to flirt with her slightly and then fight back stronger in fencing. Nor had she expected him to make it to the top before her and then save her as well. She probably hadn't expected his questions either. With Rudra, she starts off with that knowing smile, which quickly fades away when she realizes things aren't going fully the way she wanted them to or had thought they would.
Finally, on the precap. MJ is a puzzle right now. And unlike Maya, Rudra, or Rishi, he isn't being unravelled. I feel that the CVs are doing this on purpose. MJ is possibly going to be the most complex and surprising characters of them all. If you think about it, in a way the others have all been set out enough for us to know them. Maya - the avenger. Rudra - the weapon, the partner, the shield. Rishi - the clown, the tool (not weapon), the game changer. MJ we have no idea of yet and that's what makes this that much more interesting. He's using roundabout ways to find out what's going on in his sons' lives. He could easily found out directly, but that would mean revealing himself too early. He has nothing to worry about right now. Rudra has a potential investor - the deal can still be broken. Rishi is potentially in love - the lovers can be separated. It's not like Rudra or Rishi have done anything major. Even the fish humiliation is a raat gayi baat gayi type incident. People will forget in a day or two. There's a reason that MJ hasn't been brought out in the open. He's the CVs' major weapon against the audience. Keep us coming back for more.

Well could be, but Mahabharat wasn't just about sons vs fathers. At its crux, it was more than that. It was about right vs. wrong, it was about rights, it was about the goals of life, and the Bhagavad Gita which gave an insight into knowledge, morales, and rights.
Now forgive me because I didn't actually ever read or watch the Mahabharat, I just know it from what I've learnt from my mother, my family, and my religion class. So do correct me if I'm wrong.
But in Mahabharat, if we talk about the concept of the war for rights, at the end of the day, it was two branches of the same family fighting for the throne. If we apply that to Beyhadh 2, then we still need the other side of the family. If Rudra and Rishi represent the Kauravs, then who are or is the Pandavas and vice versa? Is that inside man of Maya's the other side?
The way Maya was saying Geeta shlokas to Rudra on fencing grounds, it looked like Krishna, Arjuna before the battle of Kurukshetra. I feel Rudra would be the Arjun fighting against his clan, Maya Shri Krishna to him and Manas Shri Krishna to her. The Roys, being the Kauravs.
Sorry forgot to write, Shreya you write amazing interpretations. I love reading them. ❤️😊
The trailer of the show clearly states.. who will maya choose as her weapon.. Rudra or rishi..
The whole challenge for her is to choose who she will play against MJ.. she wants to destroy MJ without messing her own hands..
Rudra ofcourse is the proving to be just that.. but amidst that is the biggest question..will rudra not sense it? He does ask the right questions to maya..what does she want.. I feel he will slowly find it out himself who and why maya came into his life..
And choose between his maya and MJ.. either he steps out or help her in her war and get his own issues sorted as well..
I totally agree. I noticed the smiles too. 👏 Rudra is more a surprise package while Rishi is an open book. And which is why her plans to trap Rudra are way more complicated than Rishi's. Even when it comes to danger, Rudra's danger was preceded by a sort of competition, where she gave him a lesson to learn about the rules and not jump the gun. Whereas for Rishi, the tests or challenges are not even challenges. They were for her to confirm whatever she had already concluded about him. I think she expected Rishi to run away. 😆Originally posted by: Minionite

This actually makes a lot of sense tournesol. Good point. Manas and Maya are more on an equal footing though it seems. In the first episode she directed him, but yesterday he did what he felt was right. That means that they work together, not as boss and subordinate.
Based on what we've seen of Rudra so far, I have a feeling he'll first step out of the fight, but then realize that Maya is fighting a battle of justice and join in. Kind of like Dev from EHT.
