I agree with the bold part. However, it is not doctors but the media which are insensitive and publishing random accusations and theories. When the case is under police investigation - so media and the related persons - including the parents should show restraints. But here - the parents themselves are issuing so many statements etc. and therefore, they cannot sue the doctors because a lot of negative things that no one knew came out through parents and the so called friends.

From whatever we have read - no one was above guilt in this case. I wonder why so many girls in showbiz run after men who are married/in relationship with other women?

It is not only in showbiz but in real life too these things happen. As most of the real people are not celebrities these thing dont attract media attention that much. At the most one or two days sometimes.

The Bombay High Court Thursday turned down a petition to transfer the probe into television actor Pratyusha Banerjee's death from the Mumbai Police to the Mumbai Crime Branch.

It's not something that can be proved definitively. Lots of women get abortions and some miscarry and definitely there are hormonal changes and depression. However, All don't commit suicide after abortions or miscarriages. Many of them go on to lead happy lives.

I don't deny that there would be hormonal changes which may cause someone to be suicidal, but what will convict Rahul Raj is only definite proof that he inspired the suicide by forcing her to have an abortion by compelling her against her will when she didn't want to have an abortion and wanted to keep the baby.

Unfortunately the only person who can accuse him of doing so is Pratyusha and she is not here to say anything. Pratyusha was an adult and she has the right to do whatever she wanted with her body/her baby. She may have decided to get an abortion of her own free will.

Friends or parents saying that Rahul Raj did something when the pregnancy came up is just speculation which will not hold up in a court of law. The law believes in the principle of "innocent until definitely proven guilty".

So, if there is reasonable doubt that Rahul has compelled her to get an abortion against her will there is no case against Rahul.

Also, there is no evidence that Pratyusha's hormones were out of whack. All they can ascertain from her uterus is that she was pregnant and had an abortion. There is no evidence that she was depressed about it.

However, earlier he claimed that Pratyusha was not Pregnant. He had said, "Pratyusha was not pregnant. Since she was not pregnant, there's no question of abortion."--contradictory statements from the culprit !

In one of his interviews he said , we consulted a Doctor and later I went out to buy medicine for abortion . Means it was not an MTP ,Medical Termination of Pregnancy(MTP) is a procedure that is carried out under anesthesia by a qualified Doctor . She had taken medicine for the abortion , acco . to his statement .

Some reports stated that she wanted to marry soon and have children , so denied to work for her friend's project i.e; means she wanted to retain it . From all the prior statements it is very much clear that she was forced to go for an abortion . Is it not sufficient to slip in to depression ? Anyway , it is not yet clear whether it was a suicide or a murder . Logical thinking is pointing out that it was a murder , legal aspects are working on presuming that it was a suicide , whatever it is , as a woman of this country , I want justice to this deceased young actress .

what confuses me personally is the fact that he constantly repeats how much he loved her , wanted to marry her and so on. . But , I wonder what can be more beautiful and happier for the couple who has already made the decision to marry than the news that they expect a baby?Is abortion- or let me put it differently- an ending the possibility of a life wich ,by the way
always carries certain risks for the woman better and easier solution than changing the date of already planned wedding !?
He says it was mutually decided, her friends say she wanted to marry soon and have children. Abortion is never an easy decision for a woman no matter what ...unfortunately Prats is no more to tell her side of the story.
R.I.P. Pratyusha . I sincerely hope that fairness and justice will prevail!

Pratyusha's drunk more than the average limit of alcohol. Put together that's she's female, small and doesn't weight much. I seriously doubt she hung herself.
