Actually court does not see that in consideration.

Because lets say Anandi had a child then that child will be the legal heir to Singh's family.

So her filing the case or not filing the case, and knowing about something vs not knowing about something does not change the status of legality in the eyes of Law.

Even if she knew about it, the fact remains, its illegal.

She can file the case Anytime she wants because there is no law that says, well infidelity can be charged only when the man does not have any children and/or after 6 months or even 6 years of doing that act.

The law says, when the first wife is alive, you cannot marry again legally until you get the divorce first.

Just like lack of knowledge of something does not change the law, knowledge of something does not change the law.

Jagya did NOT know about the 2 year after adulthood deal with child marriage YET, his LACK of knowledge did not change the law that Anandi IS hte legal wife and he cannot get married to another woman and if he does, it is illegal and she can drag him to court anytime any day any week, any month and any year.

KNOWLEDGE of GaGa's illegal relationship , for Anandi, will NOT change the fact that, that relationship is illegal. Unless there is an amendment in the law that states that, after a man fathers a child, the first wife will be automatically stripped of her first wife rights , the current law prevails.

I agree the in-laws are no doubt caring people but that does not mean the punishment becomes justifiable.Anandi could have been an educated professional by now like J and G had she not been in the haveli and had DS not barred her from studying further after 12th.Isnt that a punishment?Even if DS today supports that Anandi should study further that does not recover the loss of years anandi made only waiting for Jagya to come back to her

Precisely!!! Is Anandi (and the serial) for child marriage, or against it? If she's against it, that's one of the reasons she should have left. Yeah, she could have punished her parents by refusing to go back to them, and gone on to study somewhere.

The thing about her revenge/punishing everybody is that that's all she's doing. I'm not saying that she should forgive anybody - in fact, I'm precisely against mahanta profiles of these women. But in the process of revenge, she shouldn't let it be the be-all and the end-all of her life, and right now, going by Suchi's theory, that's all she is doing.

The other possibility - assuming that Suchi's just being positive - is that Anandi actually thinks of herself as a property of her sasural, and nothing more, regardless of what Jagya does. If that's the case, then she should just focus on her sasural, and ignore Jagya & Gauri altogether, and not be telling Bairon to bankroll Jagya's courses. In fact, I hope Gauri manages to tell Bairon to turn off the spigot, since Anandi won't allow it. And she now has the Damocles' sword of an abortion to threaten him w/ if he dares disobey her. But this being India, she only has a 3 month window to do it, so make the most of it!!!

how does all of this matter.

I can actually see Anandi getting pregnant w/ somebody - anybody - and then giving away her baby for adoption, all so that she can breast-feed Gauri's baby, since Gauri may not want it to be a distraction from her practice. With anybody else, I'd not have 'conceived' it, but w/ Anandi, I can and have. 🤢

Suchi first of all so glad to read your posts and for a change read a thread without awful lot of negativity and bashing...thank you so much for it 😛

2nd - Agree with all your points and also agree with Pari that you are giving too much credit to the CVs! 😆 Its the entertainment industry...right or wrong doesn't really matter and thats the problem we all are having with this show 😭 This show was/IS suppose to educate/inform the rural India about the wrongs of old prathas but instead its giving all the wrong messages!

All our disappointments with Anandi is only because we are far-far away from the rural India, because we all are educated, Independent women who have done one thing or another in our life and have understood the importance of right and wrong, importance of standing up and importance of using the knowledge and experience for betterment of ourselves and our family.

Not everyone has courage, strength, WANT or the NEED to stand up! There are so many girls (sadly in my family only) who are getting married at 19-22 just because they have no WANT to do anything else...they think its okay to get married and start the life...and it baffles me to see them approach life this way! Its all about the culture you're brought up in, the place, the society, the family is what your decisions are usually based on and for those young women they dont FEEL THE NEED to rise above, they dont DESIRE to stand up and ask their parents to not get married till they are 25+. Its absolutely disheartening to see this happen.

CVs are using OLD OLD prathas with OLD prathas for this show...not the improved, better so called NEW prathas to informa and educate people. And when we they are going to show worse and bad, surely bad looks better! So they can still claim that they are one way or another giving good messages! 😲

In real life, true all your points are absolutely true. The psychology behind it...and along with it another thing thats also true for Anandi is..its always easier to do whats wrong than to do what right! Wrong things are always easier to do than the rightful things and therefore Anandi is doing all the wrongs because she is so drained emotionally that she doesn't have a source of motivation for her to even think of the rights. And another fact - its always tougher to forgive yourself than forgiving others. And this also holds true for Anandi, as she herself feels that she is the problem creator for the whole family, she feels better by "doing whats good for the family deeds" and feels that she can somewhere feel that she is trying to lesser the troubles for them and therefore no one can make her do the "RIGHT" thing unless she forgives herself.

I don't feel angry with Anandi, neither do I feel the urgent need for her to move out, I def. don't think she is being mahaan. Its just that she hasn't yet understood things and is just not ready to see ahead...doesn't feel the NEED or the WANT. But I hope, one day, CVs understand that this is A SHOW and we aren't really here to see reality or completely insanity...we are here for seeing what should happens but rarely happens in reality. 😊

I know after what I wrote I seriously do not feel bad about Anandi any more.. I kind of am happy that she is doing what she wants to do. lol even if its killing her really.
