The thing about Jyoti is that she used to be a tigress when batting for Sushma, Reshmi, occasionally Sudha, but when it was for herself, she'd try playing a Sita to a non-existant Rama. That's what earned her that title. I never had any problems w/ her worshipping Kabir once she married him, just as I found Sandhya touching Neeraj's feet on their suhaag raat as pretty touching. It's when the actresses are deferential to people who don't deserve it that I start having problems.
I guess background could be a factor, but if you recall, Anandi the kid was pretty defiant and questioned the authority of her sasural: if she's now a doormat, they've made her into one. I haven't stopped sympathizing w/ her, but I can't watch it, and seeing DS have fans in that stupid forum just drives me nuts. That's why I've decided to break from it. Hopefully things would improve b4 too long. I hope that tomorrow, Anandi & Gauri join hands and jointly revolt against this family as a whole, treating them as the enemy, since they initiate w/ the conversation on child marriage.
On BAVD, I'd understand Bharti being a doormat if she was too scared of what others would do to her. But after Mridala were kicked out, the entire family was behind Murli's decision. But Bharti brought those bullies back. That's the biggest reason I call her a doormat.
And I understand what Addicted was saying, and it just signifies that different people have different threshold levels of tolerance for doormat behavior, and my threshold is obviously less than many women. In fact, watching these serials has lowered it further. Hopefully, in Dwarikadeesh, it'll improve, unless the CVs try to make some of Krishna's wives doormats, but I doubt they'll do it.

You and me both Vrish! 😡
In truth if you ever came across real women like this in your life, you'd wanna take them by the neck and strangle them!
There's a huge difference between being kind and generous and sensitive of others needs, and being so compliant that you allow others to walk all over you! As far as I'm concerened Bharti is a follower of the second.
And her present predicament, while an awful situation to be in, doesn't negate this characteristic of hers!

LOL!😆 I agree, Jyoti was a tigress for others but never for herself. She did many mistakes by lying & hiding the truth from her hubby whether it was Pankaj or Kabir. She should have told the truth to Pankaj before marriage & then let him decide, whether he still wants to go ahead with the marriage or not. She never listened to others in her entire life then what made her listen to Kalpana that moment😡 Instead, she married him & then hid the truth for 1 year. So it was justifiable from Pankaj's side to get hurt & throw her out from his life But Jyoti never learnt her lesson, when she knew Roshni was her daughter & Pankaj was blackmailing her, she hid all this from Kabir once again. She was an expert in lying😡 She was lucky that Kabir was not Pankaj. However there were times where I got mad at Kabir too & I don't want to remember it😉

Anandi was a frank kid but was forced into what she is today. Bhago reminding her all the time that she needs to listen to her hubby & DS no matter whatever happens, it's her duty to keep the family united, if she does anything wrong then her parents will be questioned for teaching her wrong values, well these were just a few things that brainwashed Anandi🥱 But actually when she was slapped by DS & thrown out of the haveli, there was already a noticeable change in Anandi when she returned. So I still sympathize with her though mad at her too😉 I agree with you Anandi didn't become a sacrificing soul herself, she was made into one😆

I don't have problems with people being a fan of DS. What I actually can't stand on the BV forum is how people are in praise of DS's plan of separating Gaga for the sake of reuniting Jaan🤢 After all this I just can't believe there are people over there who want Anandi to return back to Jag😲 Jag has been in a relationship with someone else for the past 5 years & married her too, still people want a Jaan reunion👎🏼 that's simply unbelievable. Trust me; if Anandi returns back to Jag, then I'm done with the show. I won't watch it anymore nor will I ever forgive the CVs for showing it😡

In BAVD, the Bharli reunion was tolerable to some extent, coz the case wasn't like something in BV. Neither Bharti looked at Amit nor did Murli ever look at Sudha in another sense, so I didn't have problems with Bharli reuniting I didn't even have problems with Bharti forgiving the Lal morons so easily If I had problems then it was with Bharti returning back to Murli, so easily😲 Where was her self-respect that time?

Still I didn't hate Bharti.

When Mridala were being thrown out, I had a strong feeling that Bharti would never let this happen but still I wished she wouldn't ruin my happiness. She definitely brought them back & that also against her hubby's willingness🤢 As I said she's taking Murli for granted now😡 This act of hers crossed my limit of tolerating her doormat acts. That was the end of my sympathy for her. I just watched the promo & was so angry at her. I wonder if I was actually watching the serial, I might have broken the TV. When I saw that thread where she needed to be divorced, couldn't disagree with Cheznazi at all😆

The phrase being kind, generous & sensitive suits Toasty not Bharti. Just bcoz I said Toasty stood up for her self-respect doesn't mean she was a mean girl & harsh towards others. I've seen her crying in her room for having to behave like that. She doesn't find any kind of happiness in it; she's just doing it for her self-respect That's why I admire Toasty👍🏼 not Bharti🥱

I agree the tolerance level varies from people to people. Yes she may not be a doormat for many out there. In my POV, she's just too ideal & too much of idealism is injurious for me & my brain🤪🤣 I simply can't digest it or handle it My brains have already got jammed seeing her idealistic avatar that now I remain unaffected with her tears🤣

Talking about Dwarkadeesh, I don't think they'll focus much on all the wives of Krishna. In the old version of Shree Krishna, most of the time they always showed Krishna narrating the incidents to Rukmini. Btw the version of Mahabharat shown here was quite different from the BRC version of Mahabharat. The part where I recall is in the BRC version, after Karan's death Kunti goes & cries in the battle field & Yudhisthir on learning the truth curses all the women. In the Sagar version, nothing like that was shown, in fact Krishna had to persuade Kunti to reveal the truth. I don't think the Sagars will deal with this doormat issue. Such kind of issues can be dealt only in fictional shows to raise the blood pressure of the audiences🤣🤣

Coming back to BAVD, I have one question. What happened to Murli's dream of starting Lal Band Party & Tent House? Any idea???😕

Rakhie...BINGO!!!👍🏼

Fully agree!
Vik
If you come to Dwarakadeesh forum tonight onwards, we can discuss it there. B'cos I have too much to say on that vs the other Dwapar Yuga serials that won't be appropriate here.
Murli's tent house? Naah, he doesn't need it!!! In fact, now, he can set up a crib business. I mean, there are only 2 babies being born in that house, and there were what, ~12-16 cribs in that living room alone? 😲 Murli, you do need to get other things, like diapers, infant clothes, towels, toiletries, bottles, breast-pumps, etc. In India, they don't have diaper pail dispensers like in the US - I used the latter for a while b4 my kid was fully potty trained. But yeah, that would be handy too, if available.
I just sometimes wonder - has anybody ever thought out the business sense of these things? Bharti sweets makes pethas, and by selling them, Rupesh, who owned squat after losing his case to Parmeshwar bhaiyya, had something like 5 crores left to Dhara when he died, and that was after giving Murli half the business, Bhushan his share (along w/ Ops chief, and yet nothing for poor Amit), and Bharti hers. Let's do the math here. 5 crores == 50,000,000. Assuming an item from them costs - let's bloat the price here - Rs 100 per item. Oh, and since the 5 crores was just what Dhara was left w/, assume that the total worth of all his assets was something like 15-20 crores, since margins ain't really good on these things, what w/ competition, wages, taxes and all. So let's assume something like 18 crores business, say done in 12 months (since Murli & Bharti had a year in which to reconcile)
So, you'd have something like Rs180,000,000 made over 12 months - that would have come to 150k items sold per month, or 5000 pethas sold per day!!! In Agra alone? I've heard of food businesses being lucrative in India, but this really takes the petha.
Of course, in serials, everybody owns money not in lakhs, but in crores. No wonder, despite the weakening of Western currencies, their exchange rate hasn't changed wrt the rupee. How can it, if everybody has crores of cash to do whatever they like? 😆

Of course Vrish, I love such puzzles. The lawyer had even mentioned some ancestral property. For god sake now where did that come from? First they said Parmeshwar didn't leave a single penny from them, as he didn't even spare the house that Dhara's father had gifted Dharup & after Rupesh's death, they have some ancestral property left & a house in the villageIs this a joke?

Well the business could not have been done within one year.

See, when Bharli filed for the divorce, the judge had mentioned that they've been married for six months. Obviously, Mupesh didn't start as soon as the marriage happened. After Bharli got married, lots of things happened, honeymoon & the revelation of Rupesh's financial status. Let's say maybe like after 1 month, they established Bharti Sweets which means before the Bharli divorce, they must have done business for like 5 months only. Not to forget that their second order was an international order, remember, Rupesh had given Murli the news of the goods of Bharti Sweets being exported to USA My god how super fast these people were

This was another joke

Ok forget this, back to time calculation. So after Bharli filed the divorce, maybe like 1 month they got busy in their life. Murli got busy with Sudha's problems & Bharti was on a mission of Business plus PrakashThen problems solved, Rupesh turned into Baba Dumbledore & Bharli got reunited & the lawyer divided the money among the so-called people. So within a time span of 5 to 6 months, Rupesh of Agra was in a serious mood to give out tough competition to Bill Gates & that also with the business of Pethas

I don't really remember the figures Murli had mentioned about the profit earned from Bharti Sweets was it 1 crore? but hey how come so much of profit that also when Bhushan's salary was like 25 thousand alone & what about the salary of other workers. Even after giving out so much of money they have profit in croresThis was seriously the biggest unsolved mystery of the decade besides the other riddle I had asked in this thread regarding the age difference between the 3 Idiots - Dumroo, Mridan & Murli I can't write anymore, coz I'm already going to faint now!

In school, had I written essays w/ these storylines, I'd have gotten an F. The problem w/ most CVs is that they tend to show the thinking ability of high school drop-outs. I love doing these math problems just to demonstrate what morons the CVs are, even though you knew that already 😆
As for your question, just one son.
Addicted & Vik
Great idea! Those morons on Wall Street are still agonizing over things like property rates and quarterly sales figures of companies. If they just got into the Indian mitha business, you'd have the DOW, Nasdaq & S&P500 all regain their 1998 levels.
