Member of the Week - Dotraj

Hi fellow members,

Carrying on with the MOW Concept, I would like to bring in dotraj as the MOW.

Dotraj has been a member since June 2005 and has been actively participating in the Astitva section.Each one has his/her's unique style of writing/replying.Lets see how much we get to know of dotraj when on the hotseat.

What we already know:

Dotraj is Rajini, 28 years old. She was born and raised in the Garden City of India - Bangalore. She is married for the past 4 1/2 years, has a cute little daughter. She used to work earlier in India, but now, she is a full-time, stay-at-home mom to her little daughter. She lives in the USA.

Her Hobbies include Singing. She has learnt Carnatic Music for few years, at present, she is more into light music/ film songs..

When did you move to the USA?

In the year of 2003

How did you find IF?

I was googling to find out both about Astitva serial and the actors in it and landed in IF😊

Which is your favorite channel/show?

Unfortunately, we just have ZEE channel availble at our place😕

Now that Astitva is going to end soon,how do you feel?

I am happy it is going to end soon, no point dragging it any more but at the same time I am sad this particular section on IF will also come to an end

What were you were working as in India?

I am a non-IT person. I am a hard-core HR person

Will you get back to work once your daughter has grown a bit?

How do you feel to be away from India? Do you prefer living in USA or in India, if you were given an opportunity to decide?

I always like to be amongst people, know and understand them. Being away from India, has given me an opportunity to meet different people from different kind of background & culture and am really enjoying it currently

We always want to go back to India and settle down in Bangalore - purely our personal decision.😊

Is yours a love marriage or arranged marriage?

It was love which got arranged😃

What are your thoughts on "Successful Marriage"?

According to me, husband & wife should think they both are equally important to run the cart. The most important thing is they should be able to project as "one"infront of others - including their own children & parents❤️

Nice to know about you Rajini! Does your husband work in HR too? Good to know about your long term plans..

Since you are in HR, I think you may be quite good at analysing people's behaviour, etc.. Do you do that unconsciously even in personal relationships 😉?

How long did you know your husband before marriage? Was yours a love at first sight or did it slowly develop with time?

My questions -
1) How do you compare Astitva with other serials on the air these days . Good or bad ?

I started watching Astitva bcoz it was not the usual saas-bahu, dressup-make-up, full of marriage functions serial. I was quite impressed by the main character Simran, but somehow I started disliking Simran's role after Neha's entry. I still feel, apart from Simran's role, the whole serial is not as bad as compared to other 'K' serials😊

2) Are you anti Simran or her fan ?
As I mentioned above, pre-neha I was her fan but with Neha I have become anti

about your self -
1)Tell us about how did your love marriage get arranged ?

We both got introduced in a marriage through a common relative & we kept in touch with each other, after that, well u can imagine the next scenes..😉

2)How or why did you move to the U.S ?

Hubby's job

3) How long will you be here in the U.S ?

may be next 4-5 years...😊

4) 2 things you like & dislike about the U.S

Likes:

Honesty

Minding their own business

Dislikes:

The so called "emergency rooms" in the hospital

The so called "world news" which is only just about US
