Part 2:

Disclaimer: The Characters in my story are inspired from the show but the way the react to different situations are purely my imagination. Any resemblance is purely coincidental.

Once Dr. Verma had spoken over phone he looked pretty calm, relaxed and composed.

Dr. Verma: Raghuveer Sharma aab fikar mat karo. Aab Sanjana ko kuch nahi ho saktha.

Raghuveer Sharma: Tum achanak aisa kyun kah rahe. Tum tho janthe hi ho ki uski halath kitne sensitive hai. Fir bhi tum aisa bol rahe ho?

Dr. Verma: Haan jaantha hoon. Aab jo doctor uski treatment karne wali hai woh usse zaroor bacha lengi. She is the best and isse bhi complicated cases ko usne teek kiya hai.

Raghuveer Sharma: Hope she succeeds this time around too.

Dr. Verma: I am pretty sure she will.

The entire ETF team was still at the hospital hoping that the daughter in law of their beloved Raghuveer Sharma Sir gets well soon. They had seen Dr. Verma visibly upset from the moment he had seen his daughter probably because he very well understood the complexities of the case being a doctor himself. They were amazed by the confidence he portrayed now and the faith he had on the doctor. Each and every member of ETF now wanted to meet her.

A young woman draped in sky blue saree walked into the hospital and stopped at the reception

Dr. Sharma: Excuse me. Mujhe Dr. Verma se milna hai. Can you please tell me where he is?

Receptionist: Sure Madam. Just go straight and take left, second room is ICU where his daughter is admitted and that's where he is.

Dr. Sharma: Thanks a lot.

She started walking towards the ICU and the memories of her past flooded through her mind. It was here that she had first started her carrier as a intern and had the best moments of her life. This hospital had not only transformed her into a responsible doctor but also given her relationships that she would cherish always and forever. It was nothing more than an irony that this very place which once had happy and blissful moments haunted her as she had lost the most precious relationship here. She stopped her mind from wandering into the past as this was not the time to get haunted by it as she had a mission now to save a life. This was also her way to repay the debits to a man who had done so much for her during her tough times by saving his daughter's life. She reached the ICU and saw Dr. Verma standing.

Dr. Sharma: Good afternoon Dr. Verma.

Her voice made all the ETF members turn towards her and they were shocked to say the least. Here stood their bubbly, chirpy and nerdy journalist in a totally different avatar. She was draped in a saree, her hair tied high up in a pony tail and bangles that once used to be her identity was missing, she had a wrist watch in her right hand and a small bracelet adorned her left hand. They somehow today felt that the Saakshi they knew for the past year or so ceased to exist.

Dr. Verma: Good afternoon. As usual right on time. Mein ache se jantha hoon tumhare liye yahaan aana aaj bhi utna hi mushkil hain jitna dho saal pehle tha kyunki tumne tho apni zindagi...

Saakshi or to Anushka cut him off.

Dr. Sharma: Beeti batoon ko yaad karne koyi fayada nahi. Kya mein apni patient se mil sakthi hoon.

Dr. Verma: Sure. Sister Neelam inhe reports de dejiye.

Sister Neelam gave the reports to Anushka and she started reading it intently and then went inside the ICU and examined the patient. After about 20 minutes she came out.

Dr Sharma: Dr. Verma hume jaldi se jaldi inke surgery karni hogi aur iternal bleeding bhi kaafi hai tho jitni jaldi ho sakhe karna. I hope you understand.

Dr. Verma: Tho hum operation kar lethe hain.

Dr. Sharma: Agar aap chahthe hai ki koyi aur doctor surgery kare tho bhi mujhe koyi problem nahi kyunki jaisa aap janthe hain mere aise sugery karna doo saal pehle se chod diya tha.

Dr. Verma: Nahi Anu surgery tho tume kissi bhi haal mein tume hi karna hai. Mein aisi halath mein kisi aur par barosa nahi kar saktha hoon.

Dr. Sharma: In that case, I will get everything ready doctor. I would prefer a general surgeon to be present during the surgery. (To Anirudh Raghuveer Sharma Sir's Son): aap bilkul fikar math kejiye mein aapki biwi aur bacche donoon ko sahi salamath aapko lautavoongi. Just keep hope.
