She then instructed the nurse to get the OT ready and went away. While going her gaze fell on the ETF members and there were lot of cut and minor injuries that that they had got during the rescue operation.

Dr. Sharma (To ETF): Mein jaanthi hoon aap logon ki maan mein bahoot saare sawal hain mere yaqeen mano mein tum logon se kuch bhi chupana nahi chahthi thi. Par meri majbori thi. Aap logon ko sachayi bahoot jald patha chal jayegi. Aab mujhe chalna chahiye kisse ki jaan ka saawal hai. Hope you people understand. (To Nurse): Sister in sab ki bhi first aid karva dejiye.

She was about to leave the place saying that when she heard Arjun protesting to take first aid.

Dr. Sharma (Sternly): Aap ek baat acche se samaj lejiye aapko tho har haal mein first aid tho lena he hain woh chahe marzi se ho ya jabarthasthi. First aid liye bina aap yahan se jaa nahi paayenge. Samjhe ya Samjhavoon. So better don't argue.

She left the place without waiting for reply.

Shree: Mujhe tho yaqeen hi nahi ho raha hain yeh hamari hi Saakshi hain.

Chotu: Haan Shree. Dekha kaise baat kar rahi thi. Sach tho yeh hain woh yahaan humari Saakshi nahi Dr. Anushka Sharma hain.

Liza: Haan yaar yeh Saakshi ho hi nahi saakthi. Har baat point par aur itni professional bhi. Uski dressing style bhi kaafi badal gayi hai. Agar usne humse baat nahi ki tho mere liye yeh maana bhi mushkil tha ki yeh Saakshi hain. Humare saath itne din rehne ke baad bhi humse yeh sach chupaya. Its unbeleivable.

Aisha: Guys I know it's difficult for you guys to accept the fact. Just don't misunderstand or judge her. Har kisse ko unki majboori hoti hain.

Shree: This means you knew all this.

Sameer: If you know why don't tell us at least now. Just spill it out.

Aisha: Yes. I know everything. She never shared it with me as well. But once I accidently stumbled upon the facts and then forced her to reveal. But I won't tell you guys anything it will be her decision to let you guys know. I am sorry for hiding but I promised her that I would not let anyone know.

Arjun was a mere spectator to event that unfolded. Sameer was left baffled by the fact Aisha knew everything but still kept it hidden from him. Arjun on the other hand was shocked and in deep thinking as what had made her hide her own identity for so long. He had by now realized the passion that she had for her work which was similar to his. Indeed something grave should have happened for her to forgo it. But all he could do now was to wait for her to share it with them at least him.

Raghuveer Sharma (To Dr Mehta): Tum pagal tho nahi ho gaye ho? Jo doctor ne doo saloon se mamooli stitches bhi nahi lagaya usse meri bahu ki surgery karne ke keh diya. How can you be irresponsible? Agar koyi aur nahi kar saaktha tho tum tho kar hi saakthe ho na?

Dr. Verma: Just trust me iss waqt agar Sanjana aur bacche donoon ko koyi bacha saktha hain tho woh sirf Annu hai aur koyi. Tum janthe ho uski aaj tak koyi bhi surgery fail nahi hui hain. Aur iss baar bhi woh successful hogi. Just please trust me.

Just then Dr. Simran Garewal walked in and enquired about his daughter. She assured him that Dr. Karan Garewal her husband would help them in the surgery and went to inform him.

Anushka returned in her surgical attire ready for the surgery when she heard two interns who were to accompany her in the surgery standing near OT and talking.

Interns: Mujhe tho lagtha hai inhe ab koyi nahi bachha saktha fir bhi woh yeh khosish kyun kar rahi hain. Hum apne carrier kyun daav pe laghaye.

Dr. Sharma: Agar aap dono ko aisa lagtha hain tho aapko OT ke andar aane ki bhi zaroorat nahi. Ek doctor ka responsibility hain ki woh apni patient ko bachane ki poori koshish kare manthi hoon hum baghvan nahi par we can try right. Aur kabhi patient ki family ke saamne aisi insensitive baatien math kijiye. Agar aapko aab bhi lagtha hain woh bach nahi sakthi tho please aap logon ko andar aane ki zaroorat bhi nahi. Agar aapko yeh viswas hain ki woh zaroor bach sakthi hain to andar aao varna please leave.

Interns: Sorry madam.

They left after they apologized.

Dr. Karan Garewal: Aise badi badi baatien karna tho koyi aapse seekhe Dr. Sharma. Aakir aa he gayi. Kyun khelna chahthi ho usski zindagi ke saath. Kya aap bool gayi ho tumhari ek galathi ki wajahse hume kya kya sehan karna pada. Kair ab in sab batoon ka matlab nahi. (To Dr. Verma): sorry doctor mein yeh surgery inke saath nahi kar saaktha kyunki mein in par viswas nahi kartha.

Dr. Simran Garewal: Karan yeh aap kya keh rahe hain. Wahan andar koyi zindagi aur mauth ke beech lad raha hain aur aap aise baatein kar rahe hain

Dr. Sharma: Karan tumhari dushmani mera saath hain tho mere saath shauq se nibhavo. Par please ab nahi I beg you yeh kisi ki zindagi aur mauth ka sawal hain. Apnon ko khone ka dard kya hota hain yeh humse behtar koyi nahi samaj saktha wahi dard inn par kuzarne math dena. Please. Agar woh hoti tho bhi tumse yahi kehthi. Please.

Dr. Simran Garewal: Aap ne mujhe wada diya tha ki aap woh sab karenge jisse uski zindagi baach sake. Please hum apne professional life mein apne personal differences nahi laa sakthe. Please agree.

Dr. Karan Garewal: Teek hain mein operation karunga sirf iss liye kyunki tum kah rahi ho. Varna kuch logon ko sehan karna mere vas ki baat nahin. I will be back in ten minutes. Saying that he walked away.

Dr. Simran Garewal: I am sorry for the way he spoke to you. It's just that he is still unable to accept the fact that she is no more.

Dr. Sharma: I know and very well understand his state of mind. Shaayad uss din ke liye mein kudh lo kabhi maaf nahi kar paavoongi aur ek taraf se uska gussa bhi correct hi hain. This is not the time for all this.

Soon the operation started and everyone was waiting outside praying the almighty that it ends in a successful manner. The interns along with Raghuveer Sharma, Dr. Verma and ETF were observing the operation from the video analysis room and were simply amazed by confidence and flair of Dr. Sharma. It was indeed a complex operation and the atmosphere in the OT was tensed as well. Even then they could see her calm, relaxed fully concentrating on the task in her hand. It never even once seemed that she had been out of all these for two years. She continued her work unfazed by the situation and it also seemed that she and Karan had a great understanding as they could easily comprehend and read each other's mind without any words. Each and every one who was observing this appreciated her skills in their mind. Soon the surgery ended and Dr. Sharma and team came out.

Dr Sharma: Dr. Verma surgery was successful and both daughter and grandchild are fine. It's just that we have to keep them under observation for next 48 hours.

Dr. Verma: Thanks a lot for saving my daughter and grandchild. I knew if at all anyone could save them it was you. Iss liye tho tume bulaya. Once again you were brilliant. Ab batavo kab wapas join kar rahi ho?

Dr Sharma: Thanks for your appreciation but it goes to the entire team and not me alone. Jahan tak wapas join karne ki sawal hain I have not given a thought about it or say I don't think I will be able to join again. I just came here because your daughter's life was in danger.

Dr. Verma: I will not force you to take any decision but whenever you are ready, you can come and join here. Just keep one thing in mind there are numerous patients who need your services and think once about them before taking any decision.

Dr Sharma: Sure doctor. As of now, I request you to allow monitoring Sanjana until she is stable.

Dr. Verma: Ok as you wish.

Dr Sharma (To Sister Neelam): Sister Just keep me updated regarding her status every two hours. I am here in recreation room and I expect the status report every two hours and don't hesitate to call me in case of emergency.

Sister: Ok doctor.

Raghuveer Sharma: Dr. Sharma. Thanks a lot for saving my daughter in law and I apologize for not trusting you.

Dr Sharma: it's ok and it happens because you were really concerned about her health. I totally understand and there is no need to apologize.

She was about to leave from there when her eyes fell on Karan. Dr. Karan Garewal was in the meantime informing the patient's husband regarding her health and supporting him. She went up to him

Dr. Sharma: Thanks a lot Karan. Agar tumne saath nahi dete tho yeh operation kabhi kamyaab nahi hota. Thanks for trusting and supporting me through this.

Dr. Karan Garewal: Whatever I did was my duty as a doctor. First get one thing clear in your mind. This is a hospital and has some ethics and rules that everyone here follows and I expect you to follow it as long as you are here. You will address me Dr. Garewal and not Karan. Only people who are dear to me address me by my first name and you have lost that right long ago when you killed her. She died only because of your over confidence or to say because she was related to you. She died your death. So just stay away from me.

He went away leaving a shattered and grief stricken Anushka behind. She always thought he was angry at her because she was unable to save her. But never once thought he held her accountable and responsible for her dear twin sister Saakshi's death. She had always tried to understand his emotions and grief and support him but never once had he tried to think from her perspective. If he had lost his love and beloved wife, she too had lost her sister. Today she was totally broken from his open accusation. She started walking out of hospital absent mindedly.

The entire ETF team had witnessed the scene and had a lot questions in their mind to which answers could be provided either by Aisha who said she would not till Saakshi or to say Anushka was ready or the women in the picture herself. Arjun could easily read guilt, self loath and helplessness in her eyes today and now was the time he had provide her his support as she had done with him in the past without demanding any explanations. He would do it and he somehow felt that a time in the near future would come when she would open up to him and share her grief. He was ready to wait for that moment and till he would support her through this time. Having decided this in his mind, he followed her out.

It was raining heavily outside and she was walking along the middle of the road oblivious to her surroundings, Karan's accusations still ringing fresh in her mind. A car was heading fast towards and the driver was hitting the horn hard and yelling at her to move. But everything went into deaf ears. The car was about to hit her when Arjun who come out in search of her saw it. He ran towards her as fast as he could and dragged her out of harm. That was when she came out of trance and found that the car had hit Arjun as he had tried to save her. He had fallen after the car had hit him instead of her and was bleeding heavily and his head was injured badly due to the impact. She quickly rushed to him yelling his name all along. She kneeled on the ground and kept his head on her lap and cried loudly.

Anushka: Arjun... Tumne aisa kyun kiya. Mere Kathir apne jaan ko kyun katre mein daala. Kyun Arjun kyun.

Arjun: Mere hote huye tume kaise kuch hone de saktha hoon. I owe my life to you and I trust you Dr, Sharma ki tum mujhe kuch bhi hone nahi dogi. Kyunki aab mein jeena chahtha hoon tumhare saath marna nahi. Just believe me nothing will happen to me as long as you are with me. Jahan tak tume baachane ka sawaal hai. Meine tumme baachakar kudko hi baachaaya hai

Anushka: Don't worry Arjun. Mein tume kuch nahi hone dongi. Tum aise nahi jaa saakthe mujhe chodkar. I cannot stand the guilt losing someone dear to me again because of me. Nothing will happen to you.

He smiled slightly at her and his blood stricken hand caressed the whole length of her face fondly ending up at her forehead, unintentionally filling her head parting with his blood tagging her as his and fell unconscious.
