Part 8:

It was already planned that Arjun would take Saakshi to Neev's place. But Arjun wanted her to talk to him about the matter that was troubling her. He somehow felt she would never open up even to him if others were around. Though she had handled the events of the day a lot more courageously than he had expected, he sensed that she was a bit vulnerable today. Might be a little push was what required to make her open up to him. Even if it meant that he needed to share the glimpses of his past with her he was ready to do it for her to open up to him. He had always kept the ups and downs of his life within himself and never let anyone close to it. It always irritated him when someone tried to dig into his past. But today he was ready to share it with her. But why? He had no answers to this question as it happened more frequently these days when it concerned her.

He was ready to do whatever it takes to make her share the agony and pain with him. He wanted to take her to a place where there would be no one to disturb them and she would feel free to let out agonies and sorrows. He could think of no better place than the beach which he visited whenever he was in turmoil and found solace. Probably she too would found solace there. So he drove her to the beach. The halt of the vehicle brought her back to the present. She saw that they were in one of the most less frequently visited beaches in Mumbai. She was now confused beyond limits as to why had he out of blue brought her here.

Saakshi: Arjun. Hum yahan kyun aaye hain?

Arjun: Saakshi Pehle Chalo tho sahi. I will tell you.

Saakshi: Arjun Please. I want to go home.

Arjun: I will take you home but first take a small walk across the sea shore and spend some time here. Trust me you will feel better. The day was very hard on you and this will help you feel better. I always come here and spend some time whenever I am stressed out or feel rather lonely. It rather gives you a contentment making you forget all your sorrows and pain.

Saakshi (Absent minded): That's the very reason I hate to come here. The sea waves will hear out all your sorrows and pains. You can vent out your frustrations and anger on it. It will not get angry on you and you will find it the same way when you return back be it after a day, week or year. It will invariably make you feel lighter and takes away the haunted memories of the past. I can never or should never forget what happened to me in the past because once I start forgetting it; I will never be able to fulfill the promises made to them.

Arjun ignoring what he had heard her murmur to herself walks towards the sea. She has no option but to follow him. They stand in the sea waves for 5 minutes and then find a rather less frequented area and sit there. He could see that she was unusually calm here and wanted get away from here as soon as possible. She was in no way going to talk anything to him at this point of time, so he decided to start talking for a change.

Arjun: Do you know this very place has some special memories of mine. This was Roshini's favorite place. This was the very place where I first realized that I had started falling in love with her. It was here, I proposed her for marriage and we vowed to each other to remain together forever. Soon after our confession we got married and were living happily until that fateful day turned my life upside down and she was snatched from me never to return.

(Note: I am not going into the details of Arjun's past as everyone out here are aware of it. In my story prime focus will be Saakshi's past.)
