Anupamaa: Mahi proposes to Gautam, but Prarthana interrupts their moment

In tonight's episode of Anupamaa, Anupama and Devika spend some lighthearted moments with little Jaya. When Anupama curiously asks Jaya what she's up to, the child sweetly replies that since Anupama is sitting with her best friend, she too is with hers.

Devika’s Heartfelt Decision

Devika then opens up to Anupama and reveals that Jaya's mother has passed away. Deeply moved by her story, Devika shares that she has decided to adopt Jaya, saying that the little girl has brought a new sense of purpose into her life. Anupama warmly responds that no illness, not even cancer, can defeat a person's will to live.

Anupama’s Dilemma: Torn Between Mumbai and the Shahs

Changing the topic, Devika asks Anupama about her plans and wonders if she will be heading back to Mumbai. She teasingly asks if Mumbai still holds a special place in her heart. Anupama, however, appears troubled and admits that she can't stop worrying about the Shah family. Devika advises her to let go of the past and focus on herself, reminding her that she deserves happiness too.

Anupama expresses how much she misses her home, prompting Devika to ask if she'll return to Mumbai physically but keep her heart tied to the Shahs. Anupama reflects on her children and their well-being, but her thoughts are interrupted when she spots Gautam. His presence makes her anxious about her family once again. Devika gently reminds her that she cannot control everyone's lives forever and that her grown-up children must now take responsibility for their own choices and emotions.

Mahi Defends Gautam Despite Warnings

Meanwhile, at the Kothari house, Vasundhara begins Diwali preparations. When she finds Gautam arranging the decorations, she questions him. Gautam insists on taking charge, saying he wants to help. During the preparations, Mahi finds herself drawn to Gautam. Later, an accident occurs where Gautam saves Mahi, and the two end up falling together.

Witnessing this, Ansh becomes furious, but Mahi takes Gautam's side, defending him. Prarthana, however, grows suspicious of Mahi's fascination and vows to protect her from being misled. Mahi, on the other hand, insists that Gautam has changed and that no one is trying to see his goodness.

Anupama’s Message of Hope and Renewal

As the festive day progresses, Anupama and the Shah family welcome the new year with prayers and renewed hope. Anupama shares an inspiring thought, that every year gives people 365 fresh chances to make the most of their lives. During the celebration, she notices Ishani is distracted by her phone and grows concerned. Devika urges her not to worry unnecessarily, but Anupama still checks on Pakhi and Ishani to make sure everything is fine. Pakhi later decides to take Ishani to the Kothari mansion. Anupama senses that something unsettling is approaching and grows anxious about what lies ahead.

Rahi and Prem’s Rift Deepens

Elsewhere, Rahi sees Prem engrossed in his mobile phone and loses her temper. She tries to check his phone, but Prem snatches it back, accusing her of being insecure and jealous. His accusation leaves Rahi shocked and hurt.

Vasundhara’s Bold Business Move and Mahi Confession

Back at the Kothari residence, Vasundhara gets ready for the puja. Parag offers to help, asking if she needs anything. Vasundhara says her only wish is to restore the Kothari family's lost reputation. Parag suggests she focus on family bonds instead of business matters, but Vasundhara stays firm on her decision. She shocks everyone by announcing that Gautam, not Ansh, will assist Parag in the upcoming business deal.

Later in the episode, Mahi takes care of Gautam’s injury and becomes emotional as she talks about how pain seems to be a part of both their lives. She admits that she has felt lonely for a long time, but now that Gautam is by her side, she doesn’t feel alone anymore. Overwhelmed by her emotions, Mahi confesses that she has started developing feelings for him. She tells Gautam that even though he has made mistakes in the past, he has changed, and seeing this new side of him makes her happy. Mahi adds that she often wondered why she felt hurt when people spoke badly about him, and she finally realised it’s because she has fallen in love with him.

Gautam is taken aback by her confession, but before he can say anything, he notices Prarthana standing nearby, having overheard their conversation. Prarthana steps in and questions Mahi’s feelings for Gautam, insisting that he hasn’t changed and is only pretending to be good. She warns Mahi to stay away from him, but Mahi refuses to listen and asks Prarthana not to interfere in her personal matters.

Govardhan Puja Brings Both Families Together

As the episode nears its end, both the Shah and Kothari families come together to perform the Govardhan Puja. When Jaya innocently asks about the significance of the festival, Anupama explains how Lord Krishna lifted the Govardhan mountain on his little finger to protect the villagers from torrential rain. Everyone folds their hands in devotion, chanting praises of Lord Krishna.

In the precap, Anupama catches sight of Mahi and Gautam together, which leaves her worried. Vasundhara lashes out at Anupama and orders her to leave the house immediately, warning her never to return. Anupama calmly replies that she will come back if her children ever need her. Meanwhile, Prarthana alerts Anupama about the growing closeness between Mahi and Ansh, hinting at new complications ahead.
