This is my first story in forum. Hope you people Enjoy.
Disclaimer: The Characters in my story are inspired from the show but the way the react to different situations are purely my imagination. Any resemblance is purely coincidental.
Here goes my first part
Part 1:
At Ravi Lodge:
It was a new day but it would be the same as it had been for the last year when she was brutally snatched from him. He would bring justice to the needed day in day out and wait for the moment when he would avenge her death. He had become a living corpse devoid of any emotions, happiness. His life was once happy, serene and contented, everything had changed that day. She had entered his life as his best friend's friend and went on to become his better half with whom he could share all grief, sorrows and happiness. She had completed him in every sense only to leave irreplaceable void once she was snatched from him on that fateful day. His life had become hell from then on and was driven by the unfulfilled promise he had given her to punish her murderer.
His phone buzzed breaking the trail of his thoughts and Rathod informed him that they had to meet commissioner sir at his office in an hour's time. He had said he would pick Arjun up from his place on his way.
He immediately got freshened up and started getting ready. He got ready quickly and went down locking his room after getting all the essential things to grab a cup of tea and breakfast. Soon after completing the breakfast, he saw Sameer waiting for him.
Inside the ETF SUV:
He got inside the SUV and started their journey towards Commissioner Office. His eyes fell on the unread message from her that he had ignored till this point. He uninterestedly opened the message and found nothing but a thank you in it. She had replied him after he had wished him yesterday at 12 AM on her birthday. He had argued with himself a lot whether he should wish her on her birthday or not and finally concluded that he would have wished any of his team member(he had not wished any one of them till date) then why not her. After deciding, he had sent her a text message wishing her for her birthday hoping it would bring a lot good luck and happiness for her. He had expected something more in her reply message than a mere a Thank You. Was he surprised? Was he angry at her for such a formal reply? He had no answers for his question as always when it concerned her. His mind though unwantedly started pondering over the happenings in the last few months. Saakshi behavior was now confusing him beyond limits.
The Saakshi he thought he knew once ceased to exist now .She was no more bubbly, chirpy, naughty and playful during the cases. She would speak only when it absolutely necessary for instance giving them some valuable inputs and clues. She was still the same in his absence when she was alone with Shree, Chotu and Aisha. Even though he didn't want to think about her, he couldn't help but be curious.
She had literally gate crashed into his life couple of months ago breaking all the unknown barriers that he had built around him after the untimely tragedy that had hit his life. She had made him shake hands with her forcefully during their first meeting, and then continuously irritated him with all her blabbering, bickering and unwarranted chattering. She would always be playful, try to be too social with him and was never serious during the investigations cracking untimely jokes that irritated him immensely. He had started to believe her to be a misfit in this world of theirs and an unwanted baggage on them whom they should now be protecting every now then since she was not trained in self defense. What he choose to conveniently forget was that she was not a cop like them but an investigative journalist. He had accidentally stumbled upon her article one morning published in news daily where she had described the nuances of the case with consummate ease and also dealt with the dangers that lurked around their lives. He was completely baffled to see all the details return so well, when he had never seen her noting any details during the case. He had to accept though unwillingly that she as an investigative journalist was phenomenal. But he could not come terms with the fact that someone without an ounce of seriousness in work could do such a wonderful job. Although he accepted to himself that he had probably for the first time in his life misjudged a person and was too egoistic accept it openly. Added to it she was all that he was once and no more lively, bubbly and living life to fullest.
When his so called tolerance had almost zeroed down, he had fired her from ETF stating that she was incompetent. But that day, she had challenged him saying that nothing he does would change the path of her life and to his astonishment he had seen a fierce determination and some other intense emotion that he was unable to interpret in her eyes. She had returned the next day as challenged to him.
The sudden break applied by Sameer brought him back to present.
Arjun: Achanak Gaadi kyun rok di?
Sameer: Dhyaan kaha hain tumara aaj kal? Hum Commissioner Office pahunch gaye.
Arjun: Hmm. Chalo Andar jaake dekethe hain, Kya Bath hai?
Sameer: Chalo
Here in the ETF office everyone was planning on different ways to make this birthday special for her. They had decorated Aisha's Cabin with flowers and balloons and also ordered for her favorite cake which Chotu had gone to fetch. Shree and Aisha also had a bet on whether Arjun would wish Saakshi or not. They were now impatiently waiting for the birthday girl.
Inside Commissioner Office:
Commissioner: Welcome Officers. Firstly I would like to first appreciate you guys for the work you have been doing. Coming to the reason for calling you guys this morning have a look at this Saying so he forwarded a letter. Sameer opened the letter which was typed one. It said that one of lives of ETF people would be grave danger and challenged them to try and protect the concerned person if they can. Sameer after reading the letter passed it to Arjun.
Sameer (Shocked): Sir, what is this? When did u get it.
Commissioner: It was dropped at security desk early this morning. Nobody knows who dropped it there. I just wanted to warn you guys. Please stay together and take care. Sameer please be careful and don't take this lightly.
Arjun: We will take care sir, Don't worry.
Sameer: Yes Sir. Can we take a leave now sir, so that I can alert all my team members.
Commissioner: Yes sure. Please take care.
Sameer and Arjun: Jai Hind Sir.
They start to leave for office.
