Part 9:

Neev was driving back after dropping the minister's daughter at the place, when de decided to call Sameer.

Neev: Hello Sameer. This is Neev, Saakshi's brother.

Sameer: Yes Tell me. Is everything fine? Is Saakshi Ok?

Neev: There is nothing to worry. She would be fine, actually I am on the way back home after dropping minister's daughter. I wanted to apologise to you for being rude to you. It was just that I was worried.

Sameer: It's ok. I completely understand.

Neev: I also wanted to invite you all to a small birthday party that I have organised tonight at my place. She would be happy if you guys could make it. Also it would be nice if you guys could spend weekend at my place because she would feel good after what transpired today. I am not compelling you. Just think about it.

Sameer (Thinking): I don't have any problem. (Confirming) Are you asking all of our team members to come? Will your family be ok with it?

Neev: Yes of course I am inviting all of you guys. It's just me who is staying here and I have no problem with you people dropping in. Can you inform all the others as I don't have their contacts?

Sameer: Yes I will. But I don't think Arjun will come.

Neev: Don't worry about that he will be there. I will speak to him. You just inform rest of them. One more thing, I actually left an important file in your car this afternoon. Can you bring it when you come here?

Sameer (To himself): How can be sure that Arjun will come? Is there something I am missing? OK Neev we will be there at 8 PM.

Neev: Ok bye and cuts the call.

Meanwhile Sameer calls rest of the members of team and informs them about the plan. Neev calls his residence and informs his caretaker to make arrangements for a surprise party. He then goes to cake shop to buy cake and starts to drive home.

In Neev's Residence:

Pratheeksha completes stitching Saakshi's forearm. Both Arjun and Saakshi are ignorant to the fact that she has completed stitching. She is happy to see someone caring so much about her Di apart from her. She could sense that it was easily much more than a professional relationship that they share together. Each and every time the needle pierced Saakshi's arm, she could pain in Arjun's eyes. Her Di looked up to him with a hope.

Everything about Saakshi's painful past was known to her and she also knew that Saakshi would never let anyone into her life as a life partner. If at all there was point over which Saakshi and Neev quarrelled, it was her marriage. Neev wanted her to get settled and lead a normal life but Saakshi was not willing to leave her horrible past behind and move on.

If at all anyone could pull Saakshi Di out of her horrifying past, it was this man in front of her. He was the only one who could break her sister's resolve and give her a happy, contented and blissful life. But there was something that was something holding them from coming close to each other. She could not decipher the reason for their reluctance.

The only thing she could do was to pray to almighty to bring them in each other's life.

Part 9 (Continued):

Neev had just reached his house after purchasing all the required things needed for her birthday when he saw all the ETF members coming near the entrance. He went there to welcome them and introduced them to his Maasi. He also apologised to Aisha and others for the rude behaviour this morning. He could sense their eagerness to meet his Di, so he asked them to come go with Maasi to meet their Saakshi. Maasi was taking them to Saakshi's room when one of the house keeping staff asked her something. So she pointed towards the room at farther end and told them that Saakshi was there and left with the house keeping staff. Aisha and Sameer led the way followed by Shree, Chotu and Liza. The sight that awaited them once they reached the room, stole their breaths away.

Arjun was seated in the bed with his eyes closed and head rested in the headrest. His one hand was around Saakshi's shoulder while his other held her hand firmly. Saakshi's head was rested on his chest and they were in each other's embrace forgetting the world around them. Aisha passed a knowing look towards Shree who was shocked to say the least. They knew Saakshi harboured some hidden feelings for their khadoos boss but was shocked beyond wits to see them in position. The look in Aisha's face suggested that she had deduced earlier that the care, concern and hidden love probably were not only from Saakshi's side but was mutually reciprocated. Shree acknowledged Aisha's reaction as if agreeing that all her thoughts were true. Chotu and Liza were also happy for Saakshi. All these eye to eye talks didn't miss their chief's eyes.

Sameer was struck in own thoughts. Had he missed something that was so obvious? The way Arjun was holding her conveyed something more than mere concern for a friend or a team member. Was there more to Arjun and Saakshi's relationship than he knew? The looks in his other team member's face suggested that they had guessed about it or knew something about it. Then why was he not able to see the difference? He was the first one to realize the brewing romance between Arjun and Roshini back then even before they realized.

That mutually harboured understanding formed the base for their so called never ending friendship. That friendship had made him to send best friend and sister Roshini straight to his house when she had planned to shift to Mumbai. He had an unbreakable faith on Arjun that he would protect and keep Roshini safe from all the probable dangers that lurked around her. He had lost his faith and was hugely disappointed with Arjun when he failed to save Roshini. Their friendship shattered and Roshini had taken with her Sam and Arjun leaving behind Rathod and Rawte who found opportunities with every passing second to prove each other wrong.

Arjun was always like an open book to him and he could always tell easily what was cooking up in his mind. Then why was he not able to deduce that Arjun had started falling for Saakshi. He has always found a lot of similarities between Saakshi and Roshini in the way both approached life. He had probably found a glimpse of Roshini in her that made him care and feel overly protective about her as he was not ready to lose her. Was that not the reason he agreed to Neev's plan?

Had Arjun also felt the same similarities between Roshini and Saakshi that probably made him fall for her? Had he been so immersed in his own world that he could not see the obvious? Was he happy that Arjun and Saakshi would end up being each others? Could he for yet another time trust Arjun with someone whom he had grown fond of? There were too many questions to which he had no answers now.

Neev was coming to meet his sister after completing the call that held him up. As he was on the pathway he voiced out

Neev: Teesha Di ki first aid ho gayi hai kya?

Neev's voice broke the trance Arjun and Saakshi they were in and opened their eyes. They realized Prateeksha had finished stitching and they were unaware of it. They were embarrassed when they found their team looking at them along with Neev who had just reached and Pratheeksha. Saakshi moved her head from his chest and his removed his hand from her shoulder. He got up from the bed slowly and moved away. They couldn't meet each other's gaze as both were very embrassed by turn of events. Saakshi tried to get up in haste to go out of the place in order to avoid the questioning gazes. When she tried to get down, she stumbled and lost her balance and was about to fall. Arjun in a reflex moved forward saying Saakshi be careful, caught her by waist and she crashed into his arms. Their eyes were locked for a moment showing the care and concern that they had for each other. Saakshi was the first one to come out of the trance and moved a bit away from him mumbling a feeble thank you.

Pratheeksha moved forward and held Saakshi by shoulder and made her lie in the bed and save her from more embarrassment.
