Kannada actress Divya Suresh is facing scrutiny after being identified as the driver in a hit-and-run incident that left three people injured, including Anita, who suffered a fractured leg and underwent surgery. The accident occurred on October 4 around 1:30 am in Bengaluru's Byatarayanapura area when Divya's car allegedly collided with a motorcycle carrying Kiran, Anusha, and Anita.

Media reports indicate that CCTV footage from the area showed a black Kia car, reportedly driven by Divya, hitting the bike near Byatarayanapura Police Station. The car then left the scene without offering assistance.

Hit and Run case

According to Kiran's October 7th complaint, the three were attempting to avoid stray dogs when a speeding car collided with them. Anita suffered a fractured kneecap, requiring a surgery that cost almost Rs 2 lakh, while Anusha and Kiran had minor injuries. Anita is expected to be bedridden for several weeks.

The hit-and-run incident involving Divya Suresh has left three people injured, with one victim suffering a fractured leg. Eyewitnesses say the car sped away without stopping, despite the victims' cries for help. The family is disappointed that Divya hasn't reached out or offered assistance since the incident, adding to their distress. The police have seized Divya's car and are investigating, with charges filed under rash driving and endangering life.

After the accident, police officers on duty quickly arranged transport for the injured woman, taking her to New Life Hospital before transferring her to BGS Hospital for further treatment.

The Byatarayanapura Traffic Police Station registered an FIR, and investigators tracked Divya Suresh's vehicle using CCTV footage. As part of the ongoing investigation, her car has been seized for forensic analysis, and police are reconstructing the events leading up to the crash.

What Superintendent said

Superintendent of Police Anoop Shetty confirmed that Divya Suresh was driving the car during the hit-and-run incident. "Both parties delayed filing complaints. The investigation has confirmed that Divya Suresh was driving the car at the time of the accident," he said, adding that inquiries are ongoing. Preliminary findings suggest the bike was triple-ridden, and police are examining whether overspeeding or reckless driving caused the crash. There's also scrutiny over Divya allegedly getting her car released overnight.

Divya finally breaks silence on the accusations

On October 24, Divya shared a screenshot of the YouTube video showing the accident's CCTV footage. Accompanying the screenshot was a comment in her defense.

The comment read, "The mistake was the biker’s... There were three people riding on the bike, and none of them were wearing helmets. The car driver was taking a left turn when the biker came on his own and collided with the car. Now, blaming the person in the car is utter foolishness. Please check the video or get your eyes checked. Just because someone is an actor doesn’t mean you can falsely accuse them without reason."

Divya Suresh wrote, "Thanks to the noble souls who commented. Truth alone triumphs."

Divya Suresh has been involved in another road accident, this time a hit-and-run incident in Bengaluru's Byatarayanapura area, leaving three people injured. Interestingly, this isn't her first brush with a road accident - she took a break from social media three years ago due to injuries from a previous accident.
