PART 1:
A fine morning.
The joggers were moving along the sea shore. A perfect morning as per all who have reached there. But he was least interested in the jogging. He had his high definition camera focused and was clicking it around, capturing such a beautiful day in it. He clicked multiple shots and then looked at the display screen. "Mashallah...!!" the clicks were just awesome.
He never got bored of this view. For past 2 weeks, he has not missed a single day of coming here and capturing the view from the sunrise. Every sunrise was different and special, so was every single day. And today, it was very special.
He looked at his watch casually and then turned to his left. He smiled watching the jogger who was coming to the view. "Always on time..." he acknowledged it mentally.
Clad in black hooded jacket with the hood loosely hung at the back and black track pants... Sleeves rolled up a bit showing the ever so famous band on the right hand, the jogger passed him quickly. He stopped at a few pace difference and bent down holding his knees and catching his breath. He slowly got up, right hand on the hip and wiping the sweet from the forehead with the left sleeves... then he stood facing the sun, with his hair fluttering in the morning breeze.
Unaware to what's happening, someone was clicking his pictures casually. But he stood watching the morning sun for a while. After a trance, he turned around and jogged back home.
But he was still watching the retreating figure. When he was out of sight, he again looked at the display. ACP Rawte stood over there in his display, blended with the surrounding. He loved those clicks, especially those which he stood watching the sun.
"so you too like the sunrise? Found anything special today, ACP? Well it is a special day sir... you are in for a lot of surprises..."
He smiled gently at those clicks and walked back to his car, with the camera safely kept inside the bag. He started his car and moved towards his temporary home.
Two weeks... for past two weeks, he has been following the team as a shadow, where ever he could go. Sometimes as an old man, a college guy, a lady, elder lady, sometimes as a mere on looker... Disguise was just a piece of cake for him. It was too easy to blend in. And he watched the team solving 2-3 high profile cases. But they never knew that there were still more very important cases to come up... something that he has designed...
He could have started his work at time in past 2 week, but no. He waited, so that the team was actually free. He needed their full attention.
So past days he utilized it for observing them. ACP Arjun Rawte, Aisha Kapoor, Sreekant Sen, Chotu, Sakshi and Liza. He had heard about the chief too, but he missed him.
For the last case, the curly haired forensic expert was missing. May be some personal leave.
And all his observation said one thing clear...
They may be the best at field, but still they had one thing in common... All were humans... and every human had some weaknesses...
And when he felt the time was ready, he started his work, that too, the very last night itself...
He smiled at his own thoughts and reached his home. He bolted it and double checked it. He kept his bag in the kitchen counter and took out the fresh orange juice that he had prepared before going out. He sipped it and went to his room. He removed the carpet and took the hinges of the trap door... and opened it wide. The stairs lead him down to a dark room, but he knew his every step. He traced the only switch on the wall and switched it on. The light didn't disturb his guest at all.
He leaned onto the wall sipping the juice, and smiled.
A young man was tied on to a chair. His face fell on his shoulder and was just balancing the specks on his nose. He was asleep or it seemed so.
He smiled at the sleeping figure.
"Morning Mr. Sen... aka... Sree..."
