CHAPTER 13:

Arjun was discharged and reached home by 10 am. Though the doctors had asked him to take rest, he was adament that he would go to office. Riya didn't have a choise other than accepting it. By 11 he was ready. "Riya ' Are you ready?" he called out.

"bas ek minute Arjun" she cried back. He thought of waiting outside. He saw the SUV and his bike in the porch. He went to the bike. In earlier days, riding bikes was his passion. He ran his fingers over his bike and smilled. "aaj nahi' some time later'" he thought to himself.

He went and took the driving seat of the SUV. He was not sure if he could drive, but something in him said he could. His hands moved swiftly at the parts touching at memoring it. Riya came out and saw Arjun in driving seat. "aap kya kar rahi ho?" she was surprised.

"dikhayi nahi detha' ghoda chala raha hu' " he said sarcastically. "ab chale '" she silently took the passenger seat, unsure,looking at him with doubt. He started the SUV, and changed the gear, and looked her. She was still in shock. "Sir, zara sambhalke'"

"don't worry Riya, mien tumhe kuch nahi hone dunga'" he smiled and drove slowly to the office.

ETF office:

"so Rawte as far as I can understand, now I cant stop you from working, right?" he asked after almost 45 minutes of clash.

"nahi Rathod, ya tho fir mujhe kaam par laga do, ya fir mere resignation par sign karo"

Rathod didn't have another choise too. But he didn't want Arjun to be involved with the Sikander case. As if answering his doubts, his phone rang. After a while he was relaxed.

"ok team'" he stressed the word 'team' looking at Arjun. "we have 2 cases. Pehle, Indira park mien ek lash mila hai. Arjun, tum aur Riya you handle that case. Dusra mien sambhalthe hai."

"aur wo dusra case kya hai,SIR?" Rathod was silent for a second. All except Arjun knew about it.

"kuch missing girls ka case hai. We'll look into it. You both go for the other." ARIYA was about to go when Rathod said. " Riya,zara wo file leke mere cabin mien aana for a minute."

Arjun raised his eyebrows. He knew something was ccoking up. "Riya, I'll wait for u downstairs"

Rathod's cabin:

"kya hua sir?"

"Riya, please make sure ke Arjun don't follow my case. It may or may not be dealing with Sikander. So make sure that he never crosses my path"

"I know sir, I'll try my best"

"you know what Riya' you are really a strong girl. Jo pyaar tumhare dil mien hai, usse jaanbhujke chupaakar tum uske sath khadi ho' I'm really proud to have you in my team" her eyes welled of joy. "thanks sir. It really means a lot to me."

"apna ghayal rakhna, aur uska bhi. Jao, wo waha tumhe pakaane ke pure thayyari mien hoge" they smiled a parted.

Downstairs:

Arjun was already in the driving seat. She got in and they started to move. "kya kaha Rathod ne?"

"kuch nahi, bas case ke bare mien kuch bathein"

"hm' lagtha hai ke aaj kal jhoot bolna ETF mien ek nayi trend hai" he smirked.

"ok Arjun, ab naraaz math ho. Sir sirf ye kehna chahthe the ke aapke ghayaal rakhe."

"ye Rathod bhi'.. mien koi bacha nahi hu'" he was angry a bit and remained silent. After a while "aap aise chup kyu hai?"

"patha nahi, ek side sab mujhe normal karwane ke koshish mien. Aur aaj Rathod ne mujhe ek case pe bhi bhej rahe hai. Ye sab pehle baar ke tharah feel kar rahe hai."

"don't worry, just trust your instincts. I know u can do this"

They reached the park. A few policemen were around a fallen body. Ariya came to them. a policeman started briefing. "Sir, iska naam hai Rohan Sharma. Drugske over usage se mara hai"

Rohan, the same boy from the pub was dead. Arjun started checking the body. "interesting"

Riya: "kya hua sir?"

Arjun: "iske paas sabkuch hai. Money, wallet, chain. Bas phone hi missing hai."

Riya: "shayad kahi gir gaya ho?"

Arjun: "ya fir churaya gaya ho?" she was confused. "aapko aise kyu lag rahe hai?"

"Riya, body ko teekh se dekho. Iske cheeks pe kuch nishan hai, kisine iske gaal pe zor se pakda hai aur wo drugs khilaya hai" ACP Rawte was definitely back.

Riya notices his pocket. "sir, yaha 20 thousand rupees hai, aur wo bhi fake"

"Riya, iske bare mien sare informations bathao" she told him about his address. They moved to that home.

Rathod's investigation:

"Shree, kya news hai?"

"sir Neha naam k ek ladki, 20 years, fashion designing pad rahe the, 2 din se lapatha hai. Uske alawa 7 alag alag missing cases bhi hai. Sab 17-25 years ke beech ke. Aur kisime bhi koi randsom call abhi thak nahi aaya hai"

"ok, Neha ke address nikalo. Hum wahi chalthe hai"

Neha's home:

"sir, wo bohot seedhe sada ladki thi. Par galath friends mila. Ab kuch 3 mahine se bilkul badal gayi hai wo. Na teekh se padthe hai. Na baath karthe hai. Bas apne doston ke saath'.. aur kuch din se ek Varun ka naam bhi suna tha.. mujhe wo teekh nahi laga tha' I warned her but'." The mother cried out.

"uss Varun ka number track karna hoga."

Rohan's home:

Mom: last 3-4 mahine se bohot change dikha tha uske character mien. Wo bhi uss Varun ke milne ke bad"

Arjun: kya Rohan ke paas mobile tha?'

Mom: ha.. hamesha'.

Arjun: when did he call last? Uske nmber de sakthe ho?

Mom: kal raath bulaya tha,.kaha ke thode late hoga par'.

Arjun calls Shree to track the number and bring all the call details for last few months. Shree mails him the call list after a while.

"dekha? Pichle kuch din wo ek number pe kuch zyaada hi baath karthe the. Patha lagao kiska hai. I'm sure fake Id hi hoga"

After a while, Shree: " sir aapne teekh kaha' Id fake hai. Lekin wo phone track pe lagaya hai. Will give results soon."

6 pm:

Shree was so busy. He had to do work for both of them. Unfortunately, Arjun and Sameer didn't know about it. Some time later he called Arjun "sir, wo number track hua hai' ab wo Hell Fire disco mien hai"

"k thanks Shree" he cut the phone. At last, he tracked Varun's number. Rathod came in that time. "sir I was about to call u. Varun abhi Hell Fire disco mien hai"

"ok Shree. Good work. u look tired. Tum thode araam karlo. I'll look into this." He went back. Shree was indeed tired. A second later he snapped. "oh, no' ye dono cases ek hi direction jaraha hai' aur mien ye baath Sir se bathaya hi nahi." He called Rathod, but he was in out of coverage region.
