Nice start ..

Chapter 2

Riya was shocked to see Arjun here, and even more that he was stopping her from accepting Ajay's proposal, but why.

"What are you doing here?" asked Riya.

"Riya tum bhi nah??? You consider yourself as a good ETF member, yet you act so stupidly at times??? What the hell are you going to do? What do you know about him, what about his past? You know absolutely nothing, yet you were gonna marry him?" Arjun screamed at her.

"Aap kahena kya chahete hain?" she asked.

"This man, Ajay, has only been deceiving from the start. He's only a womaniser, flirts and fools girls by asking them to marry them, and when he has got what he wants, he just leave them for another pretty girl," Arjun said while looking angrily at Ajay.

Riya was shocked on hearing this, and she looked from Ajay to Arjun. She didnt understand anything at all. She had always respected Arjun, but she also trusted Ajay.

She turned towards Arjun and asked him if he had any proofs of what he has been saying. Arjun was shocked that Riya didnt believed him and was requesting him to prove himself. Unfortunately for him, he didnt have any proofs, he had talked with some people from Ajay's life, and some girls and they had told him of his reputation as a womaniser. He had tried looking a bit deeper in his past, and he had managed to talk with some of the girls, but right now he didnt have any proof. He had thought that Riya would believe him, hence never thought about it.

Seeing Arjun remained silent, Ajay used it to his advantage and took Riya by her shoulders and force her to look at him, "Look in my eyes Riya, you really think i'm lying or am trying to cheat you. Arjun has never liked me from the start, why he is doing this with me? And what girls is he talking about? I'm not at all like that Riya, believe me."

Riya was confused on whom to believe or not. She turned towards Arjun and said, "Sir i'm sure you must have got a big misunderstanding, Ajay is not like that."

Arjun was shocked at Riya, and thought how she could be so blind and not see Ajay's truth. However Riya was someone very important for him, and there was no way he'd let anyone hurt her. Whether Riya believes him or not, he'd never let Riya marry the Ajay.

"Riya dont believe him, i really love you a lot and i can prove it to you. I'm ready to marry you right now if you want," pleaded Ajay.

Arjun didnt know why Ajay was lying like this, and why he promised to marry Riya, but Ajay's words are not at all working in his favour. He tried to talk with Riya, but Riya also was looking at him accusingly.

"Sir, i have always respected you, i have always trusted you, but why did you throw mud at Ajay, why insult him and tell so many lies about him. I work with you, i'm your junior, but you have no right to interfere in my life. Please Sir just go from here!"Riya said furiously.

Arjun looked at Riya in disbelief, but he knew that he had no proof, but he turned towards Ajay and said, "This is far from over! I'll never let you destroy Riya's life!" Arjun stormed out from there, but he didnt accept defeat, he was gonna bring some tough proofs against Riya before it was too late.

Riya turned towards Ajay and said she was very sorry for everything, she was sorry for what Arjun said.

" Please dont mind him, he's a very good person, he just doesn't trust people after his past, maybe someone misleaded him about you, i'll talk to him later," begged Riya.

Ajay was very angry at Arjun's accusations, and he was also scared that Arjun had nearly disclosed his true nature before Riya, but thankfully Riya didnt believe Arjun. He came towards Riya and gave her a hug asking her to stop worrying and to forget about Arjun. He had such a fake smile on his face, and if Riya hadn't been hugging him at that time, she would have seen the true nature of Ajay, but unfortunately for her.

After all this drama, both decided to go home, and Ajay proposed to drop Riya home. Once reaching home, Riya again said sorry and was preparing to go inside when Ajay stopped her, and asked her if she wouldn't invite him inside.

She wasn't in a mood to invite him, but she couldn't refuse him after what Arjun had done, somehow she felt guilty because of that and actually invited him inside. Finally Ajay was happy, after two months of persuasion he had finally been able to get inside Riya's home. Riya had been a very big challenge for him, normally he would take only a few weeks to charm and seduce girls, but with Riya it had taken so many months, and even till now Riya didn't really seem that hundred percent bowled over him. But he had taken a special fantasy about Riya, and if he had to marry her to get her, then why not, he could always leave her and divorce her afterwards. Once inside the house, he tried to kiss Riya, but Riya was ready for that and pushed him away saying that she was very tired. He didn't force her and gave her a kiss on her forehead, and asked her about her answer.

Riya didn't feel like agreeing to his proposal, and was going to ask for more time. Ajay knew what Riya was going to say, and before she could say no, he stopped her by saying, "So you believed Arjun??? I don't mean anything for you."

"It's not that Ajay," said Riya

"Then what? Tell me what was your answer going to be if Arjun hadn't come?" Ajay asked.

"Yes, i was going to say yes," replied Riya.

"Then why you are no longer sure. You don't trust me?" said Ajay with a hurt face.

"It's not that," again replied Riya.

"Let's get married tomorrow itself, if that's the only way to prove my innocence," Ajay said.

Riya was a bit confused, but she had no reason not to trust Ajay. Except Arjun's words which were echoing in her mind. But even Arjun didnt have any proof. She finally agreed to marry him. Ajay went away from there having a very happy face.

The next day Riya took a day off for the marriage in a temple, and invited everyone in the ETF for it. However she hadn't been able to get in contact with Arjun, so couldn't invite him. The wedding would take place at two o'clock in the afternoon.

It was around noon, when finally Arjun had all the proofs against Ajay, and he came to the ETF office to show them everything, and was very shocked when Rathore informed him about Riya's marriage. "We have to stop her at any costs Rathore," Arjun said hurriedly. Everyone was shocked when Arjun told them about Ajay and showed them all the proofs. Shree and Chotu were very sad for Riya, and angry with that Ajay. They all rushed to the temple to stop the wedding. And thankfully they reached just in time, the rituals had just started when they reached there.

Arjun rushed towards the mandap, and took Ajay by his collar and started beating him. Riya tried to save Ajay, but Shree held her and told her everything and showed her all the proofs Arjun had gathered. She was shell-shocked that Ajay had really destroyed so many girls' life, and that he had almost succeeded in destroying her life.

She was so angry, released herself from Shree and went towards Arjun beating Ajay, she stopped him, and then she made Ajay looked at her and started slapping him. After a few minutes, she had no energy left and fell down on her knees and started to cry. "take me away from here," she said to no one in particular.

Arjun went towards her and picked her up in his arms and took her away to the ETF's office. Everyone tried their best to cheer Riya up, and no one wanted to leave her alone in her house. It was already very late night now, and it was time for Riya to go home. Rathore asked Arjun to dropped Riya at her place, and these two went together in the SUV.

Riya wasn't talking at all, and Arjun knew that she needed to be alone for sometime, so he remained quiet. None of them were ready for what was waiting for them on their way ahead. When Arjun was almost close to Riya, they could see lots of people gathering, and the fire brigades. Riya got down from the SUV and advanced forward, she was shocked to see her house on fire. And the fire had advanced so much that nothing could be done. She was so shocked and numb now at her bad luck. She didnt have any money on her, her house had burnt down, she knew no one in this city except the ETF, where will she go now, what will she do? She didnt know anymore. She felt a hand on her shoulder, giving her strength to deal with everything, She turned and saw Arjun, she felt completely broken down, she went towards Arjun and rested her head on his shoulder. Arjun didnt speak anything, just took her by her hand and guided her inside the SUV. She sat in it silently. After having driven for a few minutes, Arjun stopped the car and asked her to get out. They were standing in front of a very beautiful house.

"This is my house Riya, you are welcome to stay as long as you want. We are friends right?" Arjun said reassuringly, and gave her a smile. At first Riya didnt want to stay and tried to refuse, but Arjun wasn't going to accept anything. He forced her inside his house, and took her to the guest room. The room was a very pretty one, with pink walls, a bed and a table and only a few furnitures. It had a window on one side with a beautiful view. Riya went to stand next to it,looking outside and felt Arjun come behind her and standing behind her. "Everything will be ok, dont worry," Arjun said.

Riya relaxed a bit and leaned backwards till she felt her back resting on Arjun's body. Arjun at first was shocked at the feelings he got when Riya leaned on him, but with time he was feeling something peaceful, and instead of getting away, he took his arms and hugged Riya tightly from behind by putting his hands on her belly. They both felt that somehow they belonged here, in each others arms.
