Chapter 3

Riya was woken up by birds' chirming near the window. When she first opened her eyes, she didnt recognise at all where she was. Slowly everything came back to her, and she remembered that she was in Arjun's home, and that her house and all her belongings had burnt down yesterday, Except her ID card and some few hundred bucks in her wallet, she had nothing else with her. She got up from the bed, but was very sad. She took a shower, and had to put the same clothes back again and went outside to look for Arjun and thank him again for his kindness and also inform him that now she was feeling better, and would like to leave.

She had just got out of her room, when she Arjun coming towards her.

"How do you feel today?" Arjun asked her.

"Better, and i wanted to thank you for your kindness. But its high time that i go now, i have already imposed myself too much on you," Riya told him. She had thought that Arjun would be very happy when she would propose this, however Arjun looked very angry suddenly.

"Going away? Impose yourself? What are you talking about? There's no way I'm letting you go anywhere! As long as you dont have a home, you will stay here, do you understand me?" Arjun screamed at her.

Riya didnt understood why Arjun was angry, but she didnt want to depend on anyone for anything so she persisted on going, but again Arjun cut her in middle of her sentence, "You are going to stay, it's not a request, but an order!"

Hearing this made Riya very angry and she screamed back , "I'm going away from here, and what do you mean by this is an order?" and she turned back towards the main door to leave. She had only taken a few steps, when she felt herself grabbed behind and pulled. She suddenly found herself in Arjun's arms. She tried to get away, but the more she tried to get away, the tighter Arjun's grip became, and the closer he held her to himself. She didnt understand Arjun anymore. She knew that Arjun was way too strong for her, and hence stopped her attempts and stood straight.

"Stupid girl! Where will you go? You have nowhere to go? And besides you can't even take care of yourself???? You dont know anything people, you are too foolish, you can trust any stranger! And you wanna go alone outside???" Arjun screamed at her.

Riya was shocked when she heard Arjun insulting her like this, and was even more angry when he made her remember Ajay, she was so angry that she doesn't know where she got the strength to push Arjun away, and without realising how she actually raised her hand and was going to slap Arjun for this insult. However Arjun was quicker than her, and held her hand before it could hit his cheeks.

He pulled her into his arms again by twisting her hand at her back, and forced her to look at him by using his other hand. They both stared at each other furiously.

"How dare you raise your hand at me? I saved you from that moron boyfriend of yours, i gave you a shelter when you had none. I feel responsible for you, and besides you need my help everytime, be it in solving cases or for your personal reasons!" he bellowed at her.

Riya hated to be talked like that, and yelled back, "You dont own me, so what if you helped me a few times? Let me go!" she tried her best to get him to release her but he was far far too strong for her. Still she didnt accept defeat and continued her struggle to get free.

Arjun was getting even more angrier at her efforts, and without thinking anymore, he stooped down and kissed her in a punishing way. At first Riya was too shocked to even push him away or respond, and Arjun kept on kissing her fiercely. However after a few moments, as if realising that he was hurting her, he changed the kiss to a gentle way until he had a response from her. He kissed her so softly, as if to take the initial pain of his first kiss away. When she started to respond back, he deepened the kiss until both were kissing each other passionately, and would have kept on kissing had Arjun's mobile phone not rang.

Both were jolted out of their thoughts and the kiss, and Arjun suddenly realising what he had done, pushed Riya quickly away from him, and stormed out of the house.

Riya feeling so weakened after that incident, that she bent backwards and supported herself on the wall, since she had no longer any strength in her legs to hold her anymore.

"Hey bhagwan! Yeh kya hogaya???" she murmured to herself.

Her life kept on becoming more complicated every day.
