PART 1
"10 minutes to cries, howls and oceans of blood!! And this is just the start!!!
Street No. 1, Paharganj, New Delhi
Tuesday, 2 : 15 pm
The street no. 1 was one of the most crowded areas of Paharganj. As usual the place was full of people roaming on the streets... vendors selling their respective items sitting on roadsides... cars and rickshaws thronging the roads... the chaos around was an inseperable part of metro cities.
And suddenly the boom of the explosion stills all the chaos throwing the place into eerie silence of a few minutes followed by deafening screams and howls. The people who were moving and talking around a few seconds before, were now lying on the roads in a heap of either burnt carcasses or extremely injured almost lifeless bodies. Those who were able to move rushed for the safest place nearby, as soon as possible. And it was again something that in recent times, can anytime happen in a metro city.
A BOMB blast...!!!

"10 minutes to cries, howls and oceans of blood!! And this is just the start!!!" Raghav re read the words on the screen.
"Raghav yeh mail tumhe dopahar kareeb do baje aaya hain... aur uske baad kya hua yeh toh tum jaante hi ho... Yeh sirf tumhe blasts se pehle warn karne ke liye tha... varna yeh koo public announcement hoti..." Dilip concluded leaning on the desk as the whole team except Trisha stood in front of him.
"Sir yeh warning jaan boojh kar is waqt par bheji gayi hain taki koi kuch bhi na kar sake...kyu Raghav" Rajbir said.
"Vo toh hai hi... lekin yeh mail mujhe bhejne ka matlab kya ho sakta hain..." Raghav mumbled scratching his two day's unshaved beard.
"Par tumse personal dushmani poore sheher se kyu nikaal raha hai yeh..." Rajbir again stated with a dismayed expression.
"Maine check kiya hai bomb remains ko... bohot hi perfect and sleek tareeke se banaye gaye khatarnaak RDX bombs the... ek hi blast mei bohot bade area ko cover kar liya aaram se..." Aarti stated and all nodded.
"Main is mail ID ka IP address nikalne ki koshish karti hoon..." Swati proposed.
"Koi faayda nahi hai swati... Yeh jis sleeper agent ka kaam hoga vo toh pata nahi kaha nikal gaya hoga aur rahi baat email address ki... I am sure he will never use it again..." Raghav replied watching into oblivion, his brows furrowed and eues red as if he was very angry but stifling it inside... Surely this was one hell of a case but still his mind wasn't fully focused today... and every person knew the reason for it.

CBI Headquarters
Wednesday, 10 : 00 am
"What the hell Swati... ek number trace nahi ho raha hai tumse... We need some information about the number or else there will be no lead for the previous murder case aur Bikram... kaha hai vo... maine us se kaha tha ki jald se jald mujhe poore Paharganj-Shahdara blast case ki report chahiye... Police ne kya kya kiya hain... sab kuch... then??? Where the hell is he..." Trisha barked with the most fierce tone she could have ever used.
Swati turned white with shock at Trisha's voice... dripping with anger. Immediately stood up as she opened her mouth after a few seconds, "Boss... Bikram is on the way and number trace ho nahi paa raha hai... Seems the sim has been destroyed... "
Trisha just closed her eyes and turned around so that Swati doesn't see her broken state... but an agent's eyes didn't miss it... she could understand Trisha's state of mind and her pain and fear... fear of loosing someone too close to her.
"Calm down Trisha... everything will be alright..." Swati uttered softly keeping a comforting hand on her shoulder. Trisha wiped the lone streak of tear on her cheek hastily as she turned around with the same brave expressions, "I am fine Swati... I am extremely sorry... I didn't mean to scream that way..."
"It's completely fine boss... I understand..."
Trisha just nodded her head and turned to rush in her cabin. If she wouldn't... she... the ever so strong lady would breakdown any moment.
~~~~~~
"Raghav tumne Rajbir ke jiske baare mein pata karne ko kaha tha na... he has found..." Trisha stopped abruptly in her tracks as she witnessed the scene unfolding in front of him. Her eyes popped as little Rishabh wound his arms around Raghav's neck from behind, and hit him like a fighter. Raghav pretended as if he was too hurt and collapsed on the bed. Rishabh feeling too proud at himself for being such a strong little man jumped up and down on the bed with immense pleasure. The pride of winning from his ever so strong dad was clearly visible on his face.
"Kya ho raha hain yeh... maine toh aap dono ko homework complete karne ke liye kaha tha aur aap dono masti mein lag gaye..." Trisha asked with her hands folded on her chest. Raghav who had been too weak to even move from the bed a moment ago suddenly sat up straight and looked at Rishabh from the corner of his eyes... Rishabh picked up a little notebook from the side table and showed it to Trisha with his hands folded behind his back... A smile broke on her face as she saw the pages scribbled neatly with correct answers in and she lovingly pulled her darling 6 year old son in her arms after keeping the notebook aside.
"Hmm...papa ne homework karva diya...good... isliye my Rish baby was having fun... and where is Reha...usne homework kiya ya nahi..." she asked.
"Mumma I am here... maine toh homework pehle hi finish kar liya... aur main aapke room se aapka new pink scarf lene gayi thi...aapko pata hain papa and Rish fight kar rahe the..." the little twin sister uttered as she climbed the bed with a colorful scarf put around her neck haphazardly.
"Achha... toh aap hamari shikayat laga rahi ho apni mom se... aur yeh aapko mumma ke scarf se kya kaam hai..." Raghav asked sweetly pulling his lil daughter into his lap.
"Haan dadda... its sho beautiful na...I want this mumma... I will look beautiful in it..." she stood up in the centre if the bed swaying the edge of the scarf wrapped around her neck, her like a model... and it brought a sweet smile on the faces of both the proud parents...
"Nah... the scarf will look beautiful on my baby... but sawaal yeh hai ki kya aapki mumma aapko yeh scarf degi... kyuki shaadi se pehle jab maine kisi ka scarf maanga tha toh unhone heartlessly mana kar diya tha mujhe..." Raghav uttered with mock sarcasm as Rish too stood beside Reha. Trisha hit his arm very well knowing his "unhone" was addressed to her for how she had mischievously snatched her scarf from him during their dating period when he had asked her to give it to him so that he can at least console his heart with that scarf. He laughed as Rish too giggled at his mom and dad, jumping and tussling around Raghav while Reha put her arms around Raghav from behind lovingly amd he kissed the tot's cheeks with fatherly love. The kids springed up doing something they themselves didn't knew. Trisha sat beside him as she took hold of his phone to click the candid masti moments of their kids. Raghav when saw her involved in the kids he slowly moved his hand around her waist. She quickly looked at him alarmed only to see his face brightened with a naughty glint. Pinching at his arm she pushed his hand glaring at him with the same bossy Trisha look and he winked and at her. She shook her head and he chuckled.
"Enough of the your masti now... Reha aap le lena scarf... so jao ab or else kal dinner pe jaane ka plan cancel...and no masti... mai milk lekar aa rahi hoon... peeyo and so jao... Raghav please put them to bed now...its too late..." Trisha ordered as she gathered all the things including the toys, notebooks etc lying on the bed.
"Aye aye darling..." Raghav replied in his ever so mischievous tone and catching hold of both his naughty munchkins pulled them to him while their tinkling laughs resounded the room while she moved out of the room with a smile.
Trisha was thrown back to present as the door to her cabin clicked and she saw Raghav moving in. Wiping her tears she rushed to him immediately.
"Raghav... Kuch pata chala... Rish aur Reha kaha hai... kis haal mein hai..." Trisha asked with a fresh bout of tears flowing from her eyes as containing herself in front of Raghav was of no use.
Raghav helplessly nodded in a negative as he removed a cloth, resembling to Reha's scarf, from his coat pocket.
"Crime scene is badly affected... par tum fikar mat karo... main kuch nahi hone doonga unhe...trust me.." He replied to provide her strength but his own words deceived him somewhere deep down in his heart. She covered her face with her palms as sobs escaped her lips. She leaned onto him and he clutched her close as a tear trickled down his face too.
The whole of CBI headquarters was in a glum. It had been more than 48 hours since Raghav and Trisha's kids were missing. The kids were kidnapped from the school van as it was Rish and Reha who were always the last to be dropped home and the driver was shot dead soon. Every single person of the team, though was up on his feet since the moment the fateful horrible bomb blast took place in the city along with one more on Shivaji Road in Shahdara each with an interval of about 20 minutes. It had been less than 24 hours to the incident and the whole of Delhi was talking about the same. Every single newspaper, News channel, magazine, radio all were just talking about the blast and their opinions of the people behind it. No one was able to guess who or which terrorist group was behind it. All nearby hospitals were filled with patients, residents, dead bodies. Some 162 people were killed and around 433 people were injured.
Trisha took the piece of burnt cloth from him as she broke down clutching it to her heart, "Hame bachhon ko khud school se lekar aana chahiye tha... It's all my fault... I am the worst mother... I couldn't protect my children... the whole city is in terror.. pata nahi kaha honge mere bachhe... kaise honge..." Trisha mumbled between her sobs as Raghav held her up trying to pacify her.
"No Trisha... Kya bol rahi ho tum... U aren't baby... you are the bestest mom my children could ever get... You are the best mom any child could get...relax baby... I promise you I won't let a thing happen to our babies..." Raghav replied making her sit and sip from the glass of water. She leaned onto him still crying when they heard a knock on the door. They quickly straightened themselves while Trisha moved in the washroom to wash her tear stained face.
"Raghav ACP Hari Dixit tumse milne aaye hain... aur case report bhi laaye hain..." Bikram said entering the cabin after the perfunctory knock. Raghav nodded and moved out.
"Hello Agent Raghav... jaisa aap chahte the ab yeh case CBI ke under de diya gaya hain... aur yeh rahi poore case ki report..." Hari Dixit said handing over Raghav the case file of the bomb attack... "And yes ek local sleeper cell bhi pakda gaya hain... Yeh mooh nahi khol raha hain par... keh raha hai jab tak uske upar ke log kuch kahenge nahi vo mar jayega par kuch bolega nahi..." he completed.
"Aise kaise nahi bolega... is se pehle bhi kai sleeper cells ne aisi dialogue baaziyaan ki hain... CBI interrogation mein mooh khulwaata hoon main..." Raghav replied, his eyes red with rage... rage on the insensitive people whose doing was making thousands of people suffer.
"Raghav looks like these sleeper agents are very trained... Yeh jaanta hain ki police ke paas koi aur option nahi hai sivaaye inhe zindaa rakhne ke... hum thok peetenge par phir use marne bhi nahi nahi denge..."
"Hari mera andaaza sahi tha... yeh attacks toh sirf warning bells ki tarah the... vo log is se bohot zyada bada kuch plan kar rahe hai..." Raghav uttered eyeing the case report.
"Ho sakta hai... koshish toh poori ho rahi hain... defence ministry se bhi bohot pressure aa raha hain... vaise Raghav ek baat kehni thi... tum dost ho isliye kehne mein mushqil ho rahi hain..." Hari said hesitantly a moment later.
"Bolo na Hari... Kya baat hain..." Raghav encouraged him to go on.
"Raghav mujhe tumhare bachhon ki gumshudgi ke baare mein pata chala... aur usi ke regarding ek baat pata chali hain..."
"What... kaunsi baat... kaha hai mere bachhe...???" Raghav asked impatiently as the case file slipped from his hand.
"Raghav vo Lajpat Nagar ke ek hospital mein ek 6 saal ki bachhe ki laawaris laash mili hain... and looks like the kid was dead during the blast... "
"Aur mujhe laash ki shinaast karne ki liye aana hoga..." Raghav completed as he just slumped on the nearby couch with his head in his palms.
"Koi faayda nahi hain Raghav... the body is not good enough even to get its gender recognised properly... its too damaged... I was thinking ki kya use yaha forensic test..." he trailed off.
"Sahi keh rahe ho Hari... send the body here for autopsy and DNA testing... Dr. Aarti will handle... bas unhe kuch batana mat ki samples and body kiski hai aur na hi mai yeh Trisha ko pata chalne de sakta hoon..."
"Kya hua Raghav... Kuch pata chala hai kya... Kya nahi batana hai mujhe..." Trisha asked in a trembling voice.
"Kisi ko nahi Trisha... bas vo ek murder case tha jiske baare me bata raha tha Hari... ab tum tension me ho isliye I wasn't wanting to involve you..." Raghav replied masking his expressions. Trisha looked at him suspiciously and for the first time Raghav felt helpless and tired to even pretend... so broken he was... but he had too. He smiled a little and asked her to go home and he would return soon. Though she resisted initially but gave in when he insisted.
Forensic Lab, CBI Headquarters
1 : 10 pm
"Dr. Aarti vo ek body aur ek sample bheja gaya tha aapke paas DNA tests ke liye... is it possible to do it and that too ASAP..." Raghav asked as he entered the lab.
Aarti who was working on some chemical, smiled a rueful smile at him as she replied, "Raghav I have examined the body... vaise toh bohot buri tarah se jal gayi hain... par mujhe uske canines se sample mil gaya hain... aur haan is body ke baare mein mujhe kuch bataya nahi gaya... not even name... aisa kyu... shayad tumne dekhi nahi hain body... aao main dikhati hoon..."
"No Aarti... mujhe thoda zaroor kaam hain... aur chief ne mujhse abhi body ki identity reveal karne se mana kiya hai... u plz try to get the tests done ASAP... " Raghav replied terrified even at the thought of seeing his "son's" badly burnt dead body.
"Okay Raghav... reports kal tak aa jayenge...vaise toh raat ko hi aa jayenge.. on duty doc nikal lengi reports..." She replied.
"Thanks... ask her to call me the moment the results are out..." Raghav stated and had just turned to go when his phone rang. He saw the call was from Dilip.
"Jai Hind sir..." he uttered taking the call.
"Ji sir... okay sir... I will be there soon..."
Dilip Chauhan's office
7 : 30 pm
"Raghav... poori city barbaad hone ki kagaar par hain... defense is already sitting on my head and now this case needs to be solved soon... " Dilip babbled as Raghav entered his office...
"I know sir... Police and CBI... dono hi poori koshish me lagi hain... pata nahi kitne aur bombs plant kiya hai sheher mein..." Raghav uttered helplessly. For the first time he had ever felt so helpless in life after his dad's death. First his kids' kidnap and then these blasts had taken a toll on his ever so brave self.
"I know... ACP Hari ne sleeper agent ko bhijwa diya hain... main chahta hoon tum aur sirf tum akele uski interrogation karo..." Dilip stated.
"Yes sir... I will..." Raghav replied and left.
INTERROGATION ROOM,
Raghav slapped hard across the sleeper agent's already blood stained cheek, making a gush of blood flow from his mouth. His eyes were spitting fire and face rock hard. He had tied the agent named Arif to the chair and had beaten and slapped him till he wasn't even able to open his eyes properly. The treatment was far better than police remands but still the man was terrified to his core and it was visible to Raghav. After all not only wounds have the tendency to hurt but also the intensity of it matters.
"Ek aur mauka de raha hoon... bata kaun hai tumhara mastermind... varna I swear mai kisi na kisi tarah use dhoond toh nikaalonga hi par phir tujhe aisi badtar maut maroonga ki tu ne sochi bhi nahi hogi... batata hain ya nahi..." Raghav screamed as he pushed the nozzle of the gun into his mouth. Arif finally nodded a few seconds later and Raghav pulled the nozzle out.
"Yeh blast Al deena ne kiya hain... Mohammed Shoaib Murtazaa ki rihaai ke liye... jo sirf tumhari vajah se jail me hain... par tum karoge bhi kya... Kuch nahi kar sakte tum... tum log.." He replied laughing sarcastically while Raghav hit his face with full force as he moved out of the interrogation room shocked at the revelation. Now a lot of things were making sense to him...
The ringing of his phone brought him out of his stupor and he saw it to be of Trisha's mom.
"Raghav... jald se jald ghar aa jao beta... Trisha behosh ho gyi thi... doctor ko bulaaya hain par vo tumhaare liye ro rahi hai... achanak se..."
"I am reaching..." Raghav cut the call even before she could complete.
~~~~~~
"Reha... Rish baby take care... aaj mumma n dadda ko office se aane mein der ho jaayegi... Trushna maasi will be home... don't bother her and lunch kar lena... and masti mat karna... and homework kar lena maasi ke saath..." Trisha babbled packing the kids' lunchboxes and the kids giggled. Trisha frowned and turned around only to see the kids perched on the dining table with the chins buried into their palms and Raghav sitting beside,, holding a notebook jotting something down.
"Kya likh rahe ho... aur tum dono aise kya dekh rahe ho mujhe... " she asked confused at them.
"Jo bhaashan tum de rahi ho main use likh kar ministers ko bech doonga and i will earn a lot of royalty... what's say kids..." he winked and she hit him with the ladle.
"Owww...yaar tumhari mumma kitni badi Hitler hain..." Raghav had uttered and she glared at him while the kids stifled their bursting giggles.
"Mumma papa hame bachao please... hume aapke paas aana hain.." a scream was heard at the end of the tunnel and Trisha instantly sat up on the bed.
"Rish..." she screamed. Raghav alarmed, woke up immediately. He understood she had seen some dream related to the kids.
"Raghav our kids... they are in danger... they need us... mujhe yaad hai maine un se kaha tha apna khayal rakhe par phir bhi vo usi din... mai unka khayal nahi rakh paayi..." she again sobbed clutching his tee while he just tried to pacify her, running his hand on her arms and back.
"No baby... our children are fine... I promise you kuch nahi hoga unhe... dekhna they will be home soon... with us...shhh..." Raghav consoled hugging Trisha tight to himself. He knew she was badly traumatised by the incident and the blasts happening around the city had terrified her more... Which mother wouldn't be. Her fainting suddenly at home was due to the same reason. He He had returned home and she had been sticking to him since. Though a tough woman, but she had always been very protective of her children. She loved them to death like every mother does. And obviously he too did... only he knew how hard was it for him to contain his tears and not become weak in front of her so that she isn't broken. The fears of past... the wounds of his loved ones being snatched from him were now again fresh and hurt and pierced him, gnawing him from inside. But he had to be strong...
"Relax and sleep... tum unki brave maa jo aur vo tumhare brave bachhe... Kuch nahi hoga...trust me... sleep like a good girl now..." he said making her lie in his arms and ruffled her hair and slowly she slipped into a tired exhausted slumber. A few minutes later he slipped out of the bed.
~~~~~~
Raghav was leaning in the balcony of his room with a glass of wine to drown his pain into when his phone buzzed. He picked it and found it to be from the on duty forensic doctor.
"Raghav the DNA reports are out... Dr. Aarti ne bataya tha ki tumhe turant report bata di jaaye isliye I am calling you at this hour..."
"Yeah doc... what is the result..." Raghav asked with bated breath.
