Salman Khan meets his look alike

A mirror is an object of desire to many (read 'all'). But, if one were to think of the same on a philosophical level, then, it gets revealed that it's not the mirror, but, it's the mirror image that one is in love with! And can you imagine what will be your plight when you see your mirror image standing in front of you? Well, we are only asking you to imagine. But Bollywood's darling Salman Khan actually lived the experience of seeing his mirror image - live in flesh!

This happened on the sets of TV's most popular game show these days - 'Dus Ka Dum'. Salman Khan met up with his look-alike on the show, who, in real life, happens to be a dancer. While dancing in the show, the look-alike was really surprised and shocked (to say the least) to see Salman sneak up from behind him and strike a similar pose! What happened after that was out of anybody's imagination. Even as Salman was talking to his look-alike, the young man walked away as he was totally confused on coming face-to-face with his idol! One can't blame the poor guy though, because after all, he was in front of THE Salman Khan! On seeing his look-alike walking away, the real Salman in his usual trademark humor shrugged and remarked "Salman Khan sure has attitude!". We simply second that, Sallu Mia!

Salman, Shahrukh - No compromise yet
Monday, 21 July 2008
No one could anticipate that a star-studded birthday party of Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif would turn into a battle of the two Indian super stars - Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan - dividing the industry into two camps. The two superstars were caught in a war of words on the July 16 party that Salman threw for current girlfriend Katrina, which later turned ugly.

Salman was reportedly instigating Shah Rukh from the beginning of the party by speaking about their reality shows - ?Dus Ka Dum? and ?Kya aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain?? respectively. Salman claimed that his show ?Dus Ka Dum? had garnered more TRPs than Shah Rukh?s, said sources.

Salman scoffed at Shah Rukh by saying that in spite of being a super star he could not make his show a hit.

Shah Rukh initially did not pay any heed to Salman?s comments. The final blow came when Shah Rukh made a comment on Salman?s ex-girlfriend Aishwarya Rai, inviting a furious retaliation from Salman.

The incident occurred late in the night, when many of the guests had left.

Though Aamir Khan tried his best to resolve the dispute that arose between Salman and Shah Rukh on Katrina?s birthday party, the two are not in a mood for compromise as both have got the support from their well wishers in the industry.

Salman, who is known for his loyalty towards friends, got supportive calls from old time friends like Kareena Kapoor and Akshay Khanna, said sources.

Fardeen Khan and Zayed Khan also showed their concern for the actor by calling him.

Ranbir Kapoor, who worked with Salman in ?Saawariya?, was the only newcomer to jump into the camp fight by calling him to express his sympathy, sources added.

If Salman had his supporters, so did King Khan. Veterans like Yash Chopra and Javed Akhtar called Shah Rukh to enquire about the incident. Besides, Karan Johar, Sajid Khan and Farhan Akhtar once again proved their loyalty towards the actor by offering their support.

Kunal Kohli also called the actor to know about his well being.

?While Salman has the support of actors, Shah Rukh has the support of the directors. It?s an advantage for Shah Rukh,? remarked an industry watcher.

The star-studded birthday party of Katrina Kaif was attended by Bollywood bigwigs like Aamir, Kareena, Saif Ali Khan, Karan Johar, Rajkumar Santoshi, Kunal Kohli, Salim Khan, Sohail Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Nikhil Advani, Prakash Jha, David Dhawan, Anees Bazmee, and Manmohan Shetty, among others.

Shahrukh-n-Salman showdown at Kat's birthday bash.
July 22nd 2008

It is finally out in the open that Salman and SRK are no longer friends as the two had a heated argument at Katrina Kaif's birthday bash. Things started when Salman requested Shahrukh to make a friendly appearance in his home production ?Main aur Mrs. Khanna?, but King Khan refused. Salman was annoyed with Shahrukh and after a couple of drinks he started making digs on SRK and called him a shrewd person and his show 'Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas..' flop.

Shahrukh was provoked and he too made a remark on Salman Khan?s show, but hell broke loose when SRK mentioned Ash?s name in the argument. Insiders at party say that Salman literally pounced on Shahrukh, but was stopped by Aamir Khan Brother Sohail. Sohail?s wife Seema Khan tried to cool down SRK and her good friend Gauri, Kat who was standing by was literally in tears. Gauri and SRK walked out and in order to show media everything was normal inside King Khan even gave a byte saying ?God Bless Salman and Katrina.? Salman on the other hand was furious and left the party with Katrina and her mom, Kat was upset in the car about the fight and she sobbed that Salman and SRK had literally made her birthday into a bash?.

Salman's secrets tumble out

All of Salman's family and friends and even foes had better watch Dus Ka Dum to find out what skeletons are tumbling out of the closet.

Salman is endearingly candid on the show? particularly when it comes to letting out family secrets and even little known nuggets about his friends. Like his father Salim Khan throws utensils at home sometimes to annoy his mother. Or that his kid sister Arpita 's skimpy clothes annoy him and he has to ask her to change them before she steps out!

Sallu gets more personal with the contestants than the media!

'Salman upset about Shah Rukh spat'

NEW DELHI: Bollywood star Salman Khan is not only upset about his spat with Shah Rukh Khan, but the way in which the media covered it and the general politics in the industry. He has urged his fans to ignore negative reports about him.

"For the next few days you will hear and read a lot of s**t about me, a lot of it. Keep on reading it, but don't react to it. I don't," Salman wrote on his blog www.duskadum.blogspot.com.

"Read all the negatives and read till they get tired of writing. Everyone goes through this, but not for long. I say just look good, feel good and do good, that's it."

Salman, who is currently hosting Sony TV's reality game show "Dus Ka Dum", added that one should behave as though a barking dog was chasing your car.

"You don't stop the car and start reacting to the dog. You don't! There's no point. I don't wish to react. I don't have the time for it. Besides, I don't understand the language of dogs, except for my two - Myson and Myjaan," Salman wrote.

He and Shah Rukh had a spat during the star-studded birthday party of Salman's girlfriend Katrina Kaif July 16.

Salman reportedly instigated Shah Rukh by speaking about their reality shows - "Dus Ka Dum" and "Kya aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain?" Salman claimed that his show "Dus Ka Dum" had garnered more TRPs than Shah Rukh's, according to informed sources.

Salman scoffed at Shah Rukh by saying that despite being a superstar he could not make his show a hit. The war of words later turned rather ugly and Aamir Khan had to intervene.

Talking about the politics in Bollywood, Salman said that the "developing trend in the industry is not to celebrate other's success".

He added: "Every time another person is successful there will be someone trying to pull him down. You don't increase your own efforts to become successful but try to always decrease someone else's success. That is the mantra of the industry."

Salman is also apparently miffed with Shah Rukh for turning down his request for a cameo in his brother Sohail Khan's home production "Main Aur Mrs Khanna".

Sallu is king

(from left) Salman Khan, Akshay and Katrina

Of all the bravado we've heard and seen from Salman Khan, this one is easily a winner. Industry insiders say that Sallu has now invited girlfriend Katrina Kaif along with Akshay Kumar, to participate in his show, Dus Ka Dum. On the face of it, it's not a surprise. All star couples come on TV shows to promote their forthcoming films, and this too is just a promotion for Akshay-Kat starrer Singh is Kinng.

However, it's a fact that there have been strong rumours about Kat's affair with Akshay Kumar - which would obviously have not gone down too well with jealous boyfriend Sallu. Yet, he has graciously invited Akki to come on his show with Kat. And invited him over the phone personally, according to our source. Now that's called being large-hearted.

Meanwhile, Akki, who is currently shooting in Bahamas, has assured Sallu that he will take time out to fly down to Mumbai to shoot this special episode for Singh is Kinng.

Blog bluster

Friday, July 25, 2008 Day 37 - 10 Ka Dum

For the next few days you will hear and read a lot of shit about me, a lot of it. Keep on reading it…but don't react to it. I don't.

Like sometimes when you are traveling in a fast car and you find a dog chasing your car…barking away.

You don't stop the car and start reacting to the dog…u don't…there's no point. I don't wish to react. I don't have the time for it. Besides, I don't understand the language of dogs, except for my two - Myson and Myjaan.

Unfortunately in our industry the developing trend is not to celebrate others success…every time another person is successful there will be someone trying to pull him down.

You don't increase your own efforts to become successful but try to always decrease someone else's success…that's the mantra of the industry.

A man is good they say but they say it in the past tense. A lot of people out there talk highly but only once a person's gone…Dead! These people whoever they are - are just doing their job - only what they know to do best.

I chose to remain silent. I do not have the time to spend reacting. But even silence speaks. Silence makes more noise than thunder. …'Bandar Sher ko chidhata hai….' Sirf aawaaz kar sakta hai... Kabhi Sher ko maar sakta hai? He can't do anything. But when the Lion roars, a whole pack of monkeys fall from trees!

So keep on reading…read all the negatives…read till they get tired of writing. Everyone goes through this…but not for long. I say just look good feel good and do good, that's it. I love you all.

Dum-founded?

Govinda and Salman Khan

Govinda and Salman Khan have been the best of friends after Sallu bailed Chi Chi out of his financial woes.

So, it was shocking to know that Govinda snapped back at Salman during the special episode of Dus Ka Dum, which they shot with director David Dhawan.

Our source from the sets says, "Govinda, David and Salman were having fun on the sets. However, Govinda was taking ages to answer an important question.

That's when Salman requested him to answer quickly, but when his request fell on deaf ears, Sallu said 'Even Aamir Khan does not take so long to answer a question.' to which Govinda retorted, 'Toh main kaun sa Aamir se kam hoon'." Talk about star egos.

Sallu Katrina Drifting Away?

The rumours about Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif drifting away have been doing the rounds for quite a while now. But it seems that the final nail in the coffin was hammered in by Sallu himself, when he got embroiled in that ugly broil with Shah Rukh Khan at Katrina's birthday bash.

According to sources in the industry, Katrina has been feeling suffocated by Salman and his possessiveness for a while now. She is young and her career is going great guns. She wants to be doing everything that girls of her age are doing and have fun. And she definitely doesn't want a fuddy daddy like Salman hanging on and monitoring her every move. She is the one who has been wanting out in the relationship and it is Salman who is not willing to let go. In fact, Katrina's birthday bash, thrown by him, is believed to be one of his attempts to woo her back. But it probably had the opposite effect following the ugly spat. Since Salman is still the superstar, he displayed his clout as the who's who of the industry turned up at the bash. Katrina was probably a little placated by this starry turnout. But then Salman went ahead and spoilt everything by picking up a fight with SRK. Not only has the focus moved away from her birthday, but now Katrina is also left wondering whether the Salman SRK fallout will effect her career or not.

Salman and SRK Almost Come to Blows

July 19 2008

No, we still cannot get enough of Katrina Kaif's birthday bash which was thrown by Salman Khan, day before yesterday. All three Khans were present at the bash, since Salman had personally invited Aamir and Shah Rukh Khan. The inevitable happened. The Khans almost came to blows with each other.

The reports are not yet very clear as to who started the fight, but it seems that Salman and SRK nearly came to blows. The day was saved by the sudden appearance of SRK's wife Gauri, who said that she wanted to leave and she walked out with SRK. Apparently, it started with both of them taking potshots at each other's Television shows and matters took an ugly turn. They were quite ready to beat each other up. Incidentally, it is believed that the third Khan present on the occasion, Aamir, actually tried to play peacemaker. He is believed to have calmed Salman down and later took him along to SRK's house and made them shake hands. Anyway, how long could the SRK and Salman dosti have lasted? Neither of them is the type to ever forget a slight. They last fought during the shooting of Chalte Chalte, when Salman disrupted the shooting as Aishwariya Rai was in the film. SRK was furious with Salman and Ash paid the price for it by being dropped from the film. They had a famous make up session at Farah Khan's wedding. But after that there have been many tensions between them still. It is believed that SRK refused to make an appearance on Salman's TV show. That has quite infuriated the actor, who went out of his way to dance in SRK's film, Om Shanti Om, and even made an appearance in Kaun Banega Crorepati with his girlfriend Katrina Kaif. That's understandably not fair. Anyway, what's a Bollywood party without some dramatics.
