Sallu's belting it out

Salman Khan is undoubtedly Bollywood's style guru. We spotted Sallu with different belts at different events.

Sallu sporting a white formal shirt with jeans and black belt which has some studded and thread work.

The black formal suit with a simple black belt is naturally making this bhai very handsome.

SK is famous for his changing his looks. Here he is seen sporting casual jeans, white T-shirt with a funky and jazzy belt which has lots of white and golden metal studs on it.

This seems to be one of the most expensive belts of Sallu which he chose to use for the launch of his first ever show. He is wearing a black suit with blue formals and black belt with lots of golden metal work which is definitely going with his look.

Salman Bhai is sporting a casual wear here with military green T-shirt, jacket and a jeans and of course his trademark belt with lots of sparkling diamonds.

Aamir and Salman reiterate their magic!!

ANDAZ APNA APNA magic reiterates on '10 ka Dum'

This is an episode to watch out for! After 13 years the 2 Khans- Aamir Khan and Salman Khan, comeback together on screen, if one is 'charismatic' the other is 'bindaas'. The duo was last seen together in Rajkumar Santoshi's ANDAZ APNA APNA way back in 1995 where they kicked off with their amusing chemistry. Since then it has been ages to watch out the 2 khans together. And now through '10 Ka Dum' the two khans will once again rehash the magic. Watch them on '10 Ka Dum' on Sony Entertainment Television.

The episode starts with Aamir and Salman cycling to the '10 Ka Dum' sets on the famous song "Do mastana chale zindagi banane..."! This was like replaying the scene from their hit film ANDAZ APNA APNA where the duo was last seen. Their entry would be dhamakedaar... the loud cheer and claps of the audience on seeing their favourite stars will be electrifying.

Salman mischievously introduces Aamir as the man who needs no introduction. Says Salman: "Yeh to purush hi nahin hain... Yeh Mahapurush hain! (The famous punchline from ANDAZ APNA APNA)

Salman and Aamir are a riot on the show bringing back memories of their comic capers in ANDAZ APNA APNA!

Magic of Andaz Apna Apna on 10 ka Dum

After 13 years the 2 Khans, comeback together on screen, if one is charismatic the other is bindaas. We are talking about Aamir and Salman Khan who will be soon making their appearance on Sony's 10 Ka Dum.

We all know of Salman's cycling fetish, now you can catch Aamir addicted to it too!

The episode starts with Aamir and Salman cycling to the 10 Ka Dum sets on the song "Do mastana chale zindagi banana..." ! "This was like replaying the scene from their hit film Andaz Apna Apna where the duo was last seen," chirps our khabroo.

Aamir and Sallu together on screen after 14 years

NEW DELHI: Bollywood's two leading stars Aamir Khan and Salman Khan are set to relive the magic that they created in the 1994 comedy 'Andaz Apna Apna', but this time for the small screen.

Aamir is appearing with his nephew Imran Khan on Sony TV's 'Dus Ka Dum', which is being hosted by Salman. The episode will be telecast on Friday.

Aamir is featuring on the show to promote his nephew's debut film 'Jaane Tu...Ya Jaane Na' that he has produced.

Both Aamir and Salman will make a grand entry on bicycles singing the popular number 'Do mastaane chale zindagi banane' from their film 'Andaz Apna Apna'. Also, they will share the memories of their comic capers with the audience.

Known as a perfectionist, Aamir requested Salman for a rehearsal before the episode was canned.

Meet Imran's new Chachu... Salman Khan

Well, we all have known Aamir as the perfectionist whether it's acting, producing or directing films! Recently when he shot for 10 Ka Dum with his bhanja Imran, he requested Salman Khan for a mock rehearsal before playing the final game - 10 Ka Dum.

Busy with the promotions of Imran's debut film Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, the duo (Aamir – Imran) turned up late on the sets and came in straight for a rehearsal.

Like a true host Salman explained the format of the game and how it's played! In the knock out round (2 contestants play against each other for 5 questions, the contestant that gives the maximum right answer plays the game for 10 crores) Aamir and Imran were pitted against each other, as expected Aamir would think through his answer well before finally pulling the trigger (a knob next to their screens). However, the young lad – Imran won against mamu Aamir and excitedly played the game. Watch out for the real game between the men!

During the rehearsals Salman asked Imran "Aap Aamir ko kya bulate ho?" Imran said "Aamir mamu" Salman asked "Toh aap mujhe kya bulaoge?" Imran said "Chachu"… Salman immediately asked "Toh aap shaadi ke maamlein mein aap apne mamujaan par jayenge ya phir aapke chacha pe (pointing to himself)" all of them broke into a laugh riot and the game continued! Watching them interact, it was obvious that Aamir and Salman got along well like "house on fire" and this will sure put to rest all rumours on the Kahns being at logger heads!

Salman Khan's Human side

The actor has borne the expenses for the surgery of a young girl who had lost her voice and hearing ability during childhood, finds out Riddhi Doshi

Salman Khan proved to be a knight in shining armour for 34-year-old driver Ram Pal. Ram was running from pillar-to-post to get his nine-year-old daughter Meenu operated so that she could hear and talk. Meenu had lost her voice and hearing ability as a result of a childhood ailment.

However, Ram couldn't cough up the whooping sum of Rs 7 lakh required for the operation. That's when Salman stepped in. He paid for the entire expenses of the operation through his foundation Being Human.

While Meenu was undergoing pre-surgery checkups, Salman was shooting abroad. "He called me several times to check about the girl's progress," says Samir Bhargava, the ENT (ear, nose and throat) specialist and surgeon who operated upon Meenu. He adds, "Salman insisted that I operate on the girl when he is around. After her surgery, he dropped in to the hospital to meet her. Meenu was ecstatic. Now after six months of the surgery, which is the post-surgery rehabilitation period, Salman again wants to meet the girl and check her progress."

When we spoke to him, Salman was very modest and just said, "It feels great. I am very happy that the girl is doing fine and is well on her road to recovery." Samir said Salman was ecstatic about the fact that his foundation has helped a young girl get back to normalcy.

Ram says he will never be able to repay Salman and his family. "I went to various organizations to ask for help but everybody turned me down. For four long years, I was not able to find any help. And one fine day I decided to speak to Salim Khan during his morning walk," recalls Ram.

He adds, "Salim Khan asked me to meet him. After checking my papers, he decided that I should meet Salman-bhai. And Salman-bhai instantly agreed to get Meenu operated upon. Salman-bhai is a great human being and is very humble. Meenu will never forget the day when Salman-bhai had come to meet her and now she is trying her level best to start talking quickly so that she can talk to Salman-bhai," laughs Ram.

Salman is taking his foundation very seriously. In fact at a recent event, Salman was seen wearing a t-shirt bearing his foundation's name in an attempt to gain more support for his foundation.

Salman, SRK at War

While Katrina Kaif's birthday party at Olive was one to be noted for its stunning guest list, it is now in the news for all the wrong reasons. News within Bollywood suggests that it was the venue for a showdown between Shah Rukh and Salman.

Both superstars are known to give back as good as they get and not afraid to get down and dirty, let loose on one another. Although the fight may have broken on Kat's birthday party, close friends say that this fight between the two Khans has been brewing for a while now.

"When Paanchvi Pass rolled around, SRK heard news of Salman's telly show. To add to his misery Dus ka Dum is doing much better than SRK's show and knowing how competitive SRK is this didn't go down well with King Khan. Salman on the other hand is known to be quite carefree and doesn't bring professional rivalry into the personal space. The same can't be said about SRK."

"Now when they met on Katrina's party this underlying tension came to the surface. Salman was already in quite high spirits. So in true Sallu's humourous style he began taking the mickey out of SRK. Now SRK who normally sees no harm in pulling other people's leg didn't like it when things turned on him. So he decided to give it back to him… now both being in high spirits weren't ready to let go and as a result almost came to blows. It was Gauri and Karan Johar who quickly took things over to part the two warring Khans. The three of them immediately walked out of Olive visibly upset with how their host Salman had behaved with SRK," says the source.

While neither star is ready to comment on the spat just yet, this is not the first time that the two superstars have been at each other. "Salman and SRK had stopped talking to each other from the days of Chalte Chalte. In fact since Arbaaz and SRK are really good friends, Arbaaz had even asked SRK to explain to Salman what a wrong influence Ash was on Salman. But at that point Ash was the centre of Salman's world. And so an upset Sallu cut off ties with SRK only to mend their relationship on Farah Khan's shaadi. After that SRK invited Salman and Katrina on KBC 3. And although Kat and Salman never appear as a couple anywhere, they did this for SRK. But now Salman is said to be very upset with SRK and has also made it quite clear that he won't be inviting him on his show or talking to him. In fact he has made it clear to his close friends and family that they need to pick their side – its either him or SRK!"

Stalemate for the Khans

The industry was abuzz all weekend with the news that two of Bollywood's biggest stars – Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan – were livid with one another. With neither star ready to compromise or settle matters, the effect of the spat between the Khans is now spilling onto others in the industry. As a result the industry is now firmly divided into two camps.

Reports suggest that the war of words began when Salman who was in high spirits began instigating Shah Rukh from the beginning of the party by speaking about their reality shows - Dus Ka Dum and Kya aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain? It seems he added insult to injury by saying that in spite of being a super star he could not make his show a hit.

Onlookers say that initially SRK who is known to be fiercely competitive overlooked Sallu's digs. But things reached a head when it seems Shah Rukh made a comment on Salman's ex-girlfriend Aishwarya Rai, inviting a furious retaliation from Salman. Aamir Khan who was also present at Katrina Kaif's party tried to calm down the two Khans but to no avail as neither of the superstars is in a mood for compromise.

Salman, who is known for his loyalty towards friends, got supportive calls from old time friends like Kareena Kapoor and Akshay Khanna, said sources. Fardeen Khan and Zayed Khan also let Salman know on whose side they were in this war. And newcomer Ranbir who shared screen space with Salman also called to voice his solidarity with his co-star.

And like Salman, SRK has an equally strong corner. Industry bigwigs like Yash Chopra and Javed Akhtar called Shah Rukh to enquire about the incident. Besides, Karan Johar, Sajid Khan and Farhan Akhtar once again proved their loyalty towards the actor by offering their support. Kunal Kohli also called the actor to know about his well being.

"While Salman has the support of actors, Shah Rukh has the support of the directors. It's an advantage for Shah Rukh," remarked an industry watcher.

The big question now is will the two superstars make up or will this war firmly divide the industry into two.

Questions about wedding plans amuse Salman

NEW DELHI: Bollywood star Salman Khan, one of the most eligible bachelors in filmdom, finds it amusing when contestants on his show "Dus Ka Dum" want to know his marriage plans.

"It really amuses me no end that most contestants in the show 'Dus Ka Dum' express their earnest desire of seeing me married," Salman wrote on his blog www.duskadum.blogspot.com.

"I really respect their (contestants) love for me but why is everyone concerned about a very individual choice, personal issue?"

Salman, who was seen in hits like "Mujhse Shaadi Karogi" and "Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya", admits marriage is very important in our society.

"The oldest popular statement is that 'Shaadi ka ladoo jo khaye who bhi pachtaye aur joh na khaye who bhi pachtaye'. I don't like sweets so it doesn't concern me.

"Yet another popular belief is that most women marry in the hope that the husband will improve for the better after the wedding and most men believe that wives will not change!

"Implied meaning is that they will remain charming beloveds and their beauty shall not wither. This hope for change and belief in changelessness leads tying of nuptial knots," he concluded.

Salman reunites estranged family

Salman Khan's good nature and large-heartedness is there for all to see. His innate goodness surfaces impulsively and at the most unexpected moments. Recently, one of the contestants Bushra Sheikh revealed on his show Dus Ka Dum that she had eloped and married her husband almost a year and a half ago. Her parents and in-laws had not spoken to the couple since then. Salman surprised her the very next moment! He had her old parents meet her and reconcile their differences. Moved to tears, the parents hoped that her in laws too would forgive the couple. Salman personally appealed to the in-laws on national television to accept them into the fold. In fact he had a better idea. He suggested they celebrate the wedding with a party and also invite him. He would be there to share the moment of joy he promised.

Salman confessed that his Maharashtrian mother had eloped with his Pathan father Salim Khan many years ago and his maternal grandfather had not forgiven his daughter until after Sohail was born. Once the grand old man met Salim and got to know the man, it would be his grandfather who would send his mother back home to her husband after she went to her maayke after little tiffs with hubby!
Now that's what we call Salman's Dum!
