Sallu refuses to sing K2H2 song

When Rani Mukherji the special guest on Dus Ka Dum's finale requested Salman Khan to sing the Shah Rukh starrer Kuch Kuch Hota Hai's title song, he just ignored it and instead sang nafrat ki duniya chod ke.. Surprisingly, he was sounding better and could remember the lyrics well. And he got a huge round of applause from the audience.

Earlier, Rani sang the song tu, tu hain wohi on Salman's demand. She got the wordings wrong initially and Salman corrected her.

Salman was at his best during the finale shoot. He was quite calm and cool and for a change was present on time before the guests Rani and Lara Dutta arrived. He was rehearsing for his performances too.

The special episode was opened by Rani and Lara. Salman came out of his room to see them hosting; he was cheering them on.

Lara and Rani too were seen enjoying the actor's company. Rani's father made an appearance with the actress and Salman personally met him outside the studio and chatted with him for some time.

Salman was more than happy asking a few personal questions and also answering some. His interaction with audience was very lively. In fact he made one of the kids from the audience dance with him and when Laxmi (an ex- contestant of the show) demanded him to take off his shirt, he instead removed the shirt of the kid and told her, the kid has got better abs than him. However, the entire crowd was behind him for taking off his shirt. He folded the sleeves of his shirt and told them that he cannot do it right away but will do that at the end of the show.

The finale of DKD will have also have Kailash Kher, Annu Maliek, Rakhi Sawant and Shakeel Ahmed.

Salman Khan has been receiving many offers for new projects. The latest is for a TV show along the lines of Donald Trump's Apprentice, which is currently being aired on a Dubai channel called Hydra Executive. While the details of Salman's role —whether he would act as host or a celebrity guest on the show — are unclear, we know that he visited UAE and had some serious negotiations with the team there. "Yes, I did meet the guys there. But nothing has been finalised yet. I am still exploring some aspects of the same," says Salman. Currently, Salman is doing well on his show Dus Ka Dum, for which he is drawing a hefty remuneration. Apart from regular participants, the show has also had some celebrity guests.

Salman Khan gets breathless

Salman is known for his individualist dancing style. This weekend on Sony's Dus Ka Dum you'll see the dancing king jigging with one of the contestants till they nearly drop dead.

"Almost every contestant who comes on 10 Ka Dum wants to dance with Salman Khan. But what came as a big surprise to Salman was contestant Trunal Shinde who danced with such energy and zest," says our khabroo.

"Salman could not resist in joining in and the two danced like there was no tomorrow. At the end of it the two were panting to catch their breath," adds the source.

Needless to say the audience got more than what they had haggled for!

Jeetendra and Tusshar's act of benevolence for stray dogs on 10 Ka Dum

Salman Khan's game show 10 Ka Dum has seen a host of celebrities making their presence felt. Most of them usually time their appearance coinciding with their film release and hence it serves as a good way to create publicity for their film. In the recent past, Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif were seen on the show during the time Singh is Kinng released and later on, even the Bachna Ae Haseeno cast (except Bipasha Basu) played 10 Ka Dum with Sallu bhai.

Now this week, as Balaji Motion Pictures' laugh-riot C Kkompany opens across cinemas, the baap-beta jodi of Jeetendra and Tusshar Kapoor would be seen playing the game with Salman Khan. The episode not only promises a lot of fun but also spreads a social message as the father-son duo decide to give away their winnings to support the cause of welfare of stray dogs through PETA. Jeetendra even went on to say, "The city has a problem of stray dogs. We have to find ways to help them. Where is the space in the city to house them? I am doing my bit for them. In my Balaji office premises, we have reserved some space for stray dogs and have even employed people to take care of them. And now with the money I have won, I am sure my dear ones are going to have some better facilities."

The camaraderie between Jeetendra , Tusshar and Salman is something you don't want to miss. To catch all the fun and action of this special episode, check out 10 Ka Dum this Saturday (Aug 30) on Sony Entertainment Television at 9 pm IST.

ores

While just few days back, Vipul Shah?s London Dreams entire rights were sold for Rs 120 crore. Salman Khan?s Veer is all set to break further records. The makers are being approached with a never before heard a price of Rs 150 crore. A source from the production team of Veer informed us on conditions of anonymity, ?We have big corporate production houses already approaching us. The bid itself began with Rs 100 crore and just few days back Eros International was willing to settle for a price of Rs 150 crore. Earlier Hrithik Roshan-starrer Kites (directed by Anurag Basu) was sold for Rs 120 crores to Eros.?

If this deal comes through then Veer will be breaking all previous records. Perhaps the reason why the film is attracting such a high price is because Salman wrote the script himself. In addition, the star has not stopped raving about the film to whomever he meets. He has personally taken responsibility to make Veer the most awaited film of the coming months.

No SRK for me!

Mumbai:

While Aamir Khan is seen at various events these days, he has been avoiding parties of close friends ever since the SRK-Salman fight at Katrina Kaif's birthday party at Olive on July 16 2008.

"Aamir is playing a wait- and-watch game as both Salman and Shah Rukh are his friends. Aamir feels the fight was a childish thing and he wants them to patch up. He has been bonding openly with Salman and avoiding Shah Rukh at parties. Ritesh Sidhwani's birthday party was the third one he skipped in the last two weeks.

First, he made Rani Mukerji postpone her house-warming bash at her Juhu bungalow from August 9 to 12 as he was shooting for an ad. But he did not attend Rani's party as he had to attend the Gollapudi Srinivas Memorial in Chennai."

After Rani's party, Aamir also skipped Saif Ali Khan's birthday at Four Seasons in Worli organised by Kareena Kapoor. Adds the source, "Aamir conveniently stayed out of the country that week. Saif's party was attended by Shah Rukh. Aamir stayed away to avoid any awkwardness at both Rani and Saif's parties as he knew SRK would be present ."

But finally, Aamir couldn't avoid parties any more. Says the source, "At Ritesh's party last week, he came but only to pick up wife Kiran and didn't even step in to wish Ritesh."

Sallu's ultimatum

It is learnt that Aamir doesn't want to give Salman the impression that he is pally with SRK especially in the current situation when Salman has given an ultimatum to his friends and family that those who want to be friends with Shah Rukh can keep away from him. Aamir wants to show that he's on Sallu's side as he's keen to make films with him for his production house most notably, Raj Kumar Santoshi's sequel to Andaz Apna Apna.

However a source close to Aamir maintains that the actor's distancing himself from parties is not because of Shah Rukh but because he got a rude shock when the two Khans fought. "Aamir was heard telling people that he attended a party (Katrina's birthday) after 14 years and ended up being a victim of a huge fight so he's had enough of it. Both Salman and SRK are his friends and he wants them to remain that way without taking sides."

Salman felt cheated with Shahrukh's move
By Webmaster, 24 August, 2008
Salman%20felt%20cheated%20with%20Shahrukhs%20moveMany Bollywood celebrities witnessed the ugly spat between Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan. Though the duo maintained silence on the actual reason of their spat, Shahrukh Khan at last opened his mouth and declared that the fight between them was truly professional, therefore bringing down all the wrong speculations. Rumors were doing the rounds that Shahrukh touched the injured nerve of Salman by popping Aishwarya's name at Katrina's birthday bash.

But Shahrukh denied teasing Salman with Aishwarya's name and declared that the tussle is absolutely professional. Salman asked him to star in his home production Main Aur Mrs Khanna but due to dates problem, he had to decline. He was committed to Vivek Vaswani's Dulha Mil Gaya which has been pending for a long time. When King Khan approached him for a cameo in Om Shanti Om, Salman instantly agreed but when he approached SRK for his film, he turned down his offer without a second thought. Salman felt cheated with Shahrukh's move.

Bhaigiri on Dus Ka Dum

For the first time ever, Bollywood's most famous bhais assembled together on one stage. To support their bhai Salman's maiden small screen endeavour Sohail and Arbaaz paid a visit on the sets of Dus Ka Dum.

The trio entertained the audience with their giggles and humour till the wee hours. We chat with the two bros about their experience being on the show and Sallu bhai as host.

How was your experience on 10 Ka Dum?

Arbaaz: - It was good and we really enjoyed ourselves. This was the first time that all three of us were seen in a single frame. I feel we made the show more vibrant and colourful (Humne show par aa kar chaar chand lagadiye)

Sohail: - It was fun for all three of us and we had a gala time playing this game. I always liked the format of the show and am grateful to be a part of it with my brothers.

How far could you go in the contest?

Arbaaz: - I could only win up to Rs 1, 00,000. This money will be donated to charity but we wish we could get more

Sohail: - In the mock rehearsal, I won Rs. 10, 00,000,000 but when I shot the final episode I was out in the first three rounds. Arbaaz bhai took the game ahead and I was helping him.

Which were the most memorable moments during the shoot?

Arbaaz: - For me it was all three of us playing the game and sharing some light hearted banter.

Sohail: - For me it was when the writer of the show Chetan Bhagat was talking with us about his books. He just forgot that the show had started rolling and we all were amazed with what was going on. There are so many things to edit in this episode. But over all it was a great experience

How will you rate Salman Khan as host?

Arbaaz: - He is fantastic and I would rate him 10 on 10. It's not because he is my bro but I'm very impressed by him. He tends to break the norm of a typical host. Shah Rukh Khan has somewhat done that but Salman is way ahead and totally opposite of him. Salman bhai is more personal and he doesn't believe much in a script. (It's never like come let's play Dus Ka Dum).

Sohail: - I would like to rate him 11 on 10. He has done full justice to the show and vice versa.

What was your contribution to Salman coming on television?

Arbaaz: - There is no contribution from my side. We are individuals and respect each other decisions. If we need each other during the bad times or any advice then only we interfere or contribute.

Sohail: - My contribution was to take this project to him. I liked the original concept of Power of 10 and when this offer came to me I immediately took it to bhai and he accepted it. That's it

If given chance to host a show on TV what would that be?

Arbaaz: - I would like to host a cricket show if ever it comes on TV. I have good knowledge of cricket. I would also like to host a talk show but again it depends on its concept and other aspects too. For me its still time as right now I want to concentrate on films only.

Sohail: - I don't think I would like to do any such things on TV as yet. I'm not as big as bhai so its better that I do what I have been doing. I would certainly like to produce some reality show on television as I feel it's a powerful medium and connects well with the audience.

What will be the one question that you would like to ask Salman on television as host?

Arbaaz and Sohail: - We would like to ask him when is he planning to tie the knot. The last time we asked him this question, it was some 7-8 years ago.

Khan brothers bond on DKD sets

One of Dus Ka Dum's celebrity special episodes will have Salman Khan's brothers Sohail and Arbaaz as contestants. Both of them came to promote their film Hello.

This is the first time that all Khan brothers were on any show together. Arbaaz and Sohail played the game. Though they could not ask Salman about his marriage plans Sohail confessed that if he would have get a chance he would have surely ask this question to his bhai.

Sohail also informed that all of them had fun on the show and Salman and Arbaaz pulled Sohail's leg very well contrary to what used to happen in their films. Arbaaz also informed that though his image is very serious and tough, he is a very humourous person and we will get to see it in the episode. They were not nervous before the show.

The money which Arbaaz and Sohail are going to win will be donated to Salman Khan's Being Human foundation. The three brothers had lots of fun on the show and performed on a song too. Sohail and Arbaaz said that bhai made them comfortable on this show and attending his rehearsals also helped them for the actual game.

The episode featuring them will come on air on Saturday.
