We always support women education, say Karishma and Upen

Wondering about the celebrity couple Karishma Tanna and Upen Patel's debut film in Chinese? Hold on and read.

The duo is not doing any Chinese movie which was supposed to be directed by Chinese director Edd Liu.

The revelation was made by the duo on Saturday morning on the micro-blogging site. It was all done to support a campaign whose basic motive was to raise money for women education and women empowerment.

To get more details, we spoke to the duo to find out the reason behind this breaking news. Explaining it further, Upen said, "9Apps came to us with a proposal of breaking this news so that more and more people could download this app. The amount collected from the surge in downloads will be donated to any charity organisation of our choice. In our case, we are donating it to Prayas Social Welfare Society."

Karishma and Upen have always been quite vocal about supporting this cause. "We always support education. It's very important to complete education, especially for women. So, as the proposal came to us, we agreed to support this cause," said Karishma.

The duo received an incredible response, especially after the news about them starring together in a Chinese film was revealed. It even trended on Twitter. We ask Karishma if an opportunity comes in real, will we get to see them together in a film? "Why not... of course," she replied.

The duo is currently seen on a dance reality show, Nach Baliye 7. We quiz Upen if we will get to see him in films post this show and he said, "Once I get free from this, I will read on scripts for film projects." While we ask Karishma about her plans, and she replied, "I will take up things as it comes."
