Building on its legacy of innovative non-fiction formats, Zee TV is all set to present Chhoriyan Chali Gaon — a unique reality show rooted in Indian culture and tradition. Hosted by the charismatic Rannvijay Singha, the show features 11 spirited young women - Anita Hassanandani, Aishwarya Khare, Anjuum Faakih, Krishna Shroff, Dolly Javed, Erica Packard, Rameet Sandhu, Reha Sukheja, Sumukhi Suresh, Samriddhi Mehra and Surabhi Mehra (Chinki-Minki) who leave behind their fast-paced urban lives to immerse themselves in the simplicity and challenges of rural India. Stripped of gadgets and modern conveniences, they will embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery, resilience, and cultural connection.
During the grand premiere episode, all the contestants were introduced with a unique way and the stage is now set for them to embark on an emotional and inspiring ride. All 11 contestants will step into this life-changing journey with a mix of excitement, nervous energy, and determination. Among the most emotional moments of the grand premiere shoot was the surprise appearance of social media star Uorfi Javed, who came to cheer for her younger sister, Dolly Javed—one of the participants on the show.
Uorfi shared how thrilled she is to see Dolly take on this challenge and experience firsthand the hard work it takes to earn a living—something Uorfi herself has faced and overcome over the years. She expressed that while she has always pampered Dolly with every luxury as the latter is the younger one, Uorfi is proud to see her step out of her comfort zone and grow through this raw, rural experience. Her heartfelt words and support set the tone for the grand premiere episode.
Uorfi Javed said, “I've lived in a village, so I have firsthand experience with these things. I want Dolly to also learn these traditional skills, especially cooking on a chulha and making cow-dung cakes. I've always ensured she is comfortable since she lives with me, but I believe it's equally important for her to understand the value of hard work and what it truly takes to earn a living.”
As Dolly steps into the show, she leaves behind the curated aesthetics of social media to embrace an unpredictable environment that will test her adaptability, spirit, and grit. Viewers will get to witness a new side of Dolly that they’ve never seen before, one that grows, evolves, and shines through every challenge she takes on.
