Yuzvendra Chahal speaks about viral 'Be Your Own Sugar Daddy' tee; 'Bus mujhe message dena tha'

Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma’s separation came as a shock to many. The choreographer and actress faced a lot of trolling on social media for being a gold-digger. On the day of the divorce settlement in court, Yuzvendra Chahal wore a tee shirt that read, ‘Be Your Own Sugar Daddy’. He has done a podcast with Raj Shamani where he was asked about the viral tee shirt. He also said that he did not wish to create any type of drama. Yuzvendra Chahal admitted that he wanted to send out a message.

We later came to know that the alimony amount was fixed to Rs 4.75 crores. The media had reported some outrageous sums like Rs 60 crores initially. When Raj Shamani asked him if something had happened that provoked Yuzi to send out a message through his tee-shirt. While he did not spill the details, he hinted at something with Dhanashree Verma.

"Kyunki saamne se kuch cheej hua tha, aur mera pehle mann nahi tha. Fir saamne se kuch hua toh fir mai ne kaaha ab sambhaal lo ab mujhe nahi parwah kisi ki. Mai ne na kisi ko abuse kra, bus mujhe message dena tha."

Raj Shamani probed him, and Yuzvendra Chahal admitted that the settlement negotiation was kind of tough. Finally, when they agreed on a reasonable amount, he wanted to quickly formalize the divorce. However, something went wrong in that period. He also said they had made a pact that they would inform media or anyone about the divorce till the papers are signed. The cricketer and his wife stopped all conversation after World Cup 2024. He said he had given his 100 per cent to the marriage, and does not know what went wrong.
