Dhadak 2: Triptii Dimri reveals how film's character Vidhi 'touched her heart' in emotional note

Dhadak 2 is the big Bollywood release of the week. Triptii Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi play leads in this love story with a backdrop of caste discrimination. As we know, the issue of caste is rampant all over India. In the movie, Siddhant Chaturvedi plays the role of a young man who gets admission into a law college of his choice. There, he falls in love with Vidhi Upadhyaya, an upper class girl. All hell breaks loose and he is humiliated just for his caste. It is a sensitive topic but a very relevant one. Dhadak 2 is an adaptation of the hard-hitting Tamil movie, Pariyerum Perumal that starred Kathir and Anandhi.

She wrote that Vidhi was someone who made her way into her heart. Triptii Dimri said it is one of her favourite characters so far. The actress is known for her emotional roles whether it is Bulbbul or Qala, these kind of characters are her forte. Dhadak 2 also brings back Siddhant Chaturvedi in the theatres after a couple of movies on OTT. The first Dhadak movie made in 2018 by Shashank Khaitan was the remake of the Marathi film, Sairat by Nagraj Manjule. It launched Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter in Bollywood.

The songs of Dhadak 2 have really caught on. Dharma Movies have a legacy of good songs and they have not disappointed us. Triptii Dimri has a lot of craze around her especially after Animal. Her bold scenes and short yet impactful role created a stir in mainstream Hindi audience. She was also seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Well, emotionally driven characters are her strength right from the start. Shazia Iqbal is the director of Dhadak 2. She has been a part of many top projects in the country. The initial reviews of Dhadak 2 are fantastic.
