Bandish Bandits Season 3: Aaliyah Qureishi Hints at Twist Fans Didn’t See Coming

The musical drama Bandish Bandits has held a special place in the hearts of Indian audiences since its first season. After a beautiful comeback in December 2024 with Season 2, fans were eagerly waiting for the announcement of a third season. However, Aaliyah Qureishi, who played the character of Ananya, has now shared an update that might leave fans slightly heartbroken.

While speaking to News 18, Aaliyah said, “Honestly, I don't think there's going to be a Season 3.” She further explained, “While we were filming Season 2, Anand Sir was pretty clear that it would be the final chapter. He said everything he wanted to say about these characters, and I respect that.”

This statement has created a wave of speculation among fans, many of whom were hoping for more closure. Aaliyah also pointed out that some character arcs were left open-ended, and that was done intentionally. According to her, the story reflects real life, where not all relationships have perfect endings and not every chapter is wrapped up neatly.

She added that Bandish Bandits was never created as a typical romantic drama. Instead, it focused on music, self-growth, and the deeper emotions that come with being an artist. Romance was just one part of it, not the whole story.

Talking about her character, Aaliyah shared, “If a Season 3 were to happen, I’d love to see Ananya grow through her art and find peace within herself.” She believes there's a beauty in letting certain stories end naturally, without forcing a continuation.

She also described her journey as Ananya as a powerful and emotional experience. “If this is the end of her story, I’m at peace with that. And if it’s not… well, I’m ready to find her again,” she said.
