Ranveer Singh opens up on his recent failures like 'Cirkus' & 'Jayeshbhai Jordaar'

Probably one of the most versatile actors in this generation, actor Ranveer Singh has witnessed quite a journey at the movies as we date it back to his debut over thirteen years ago with the superhit film, Band Baaja Baaraat. Since then, Singh has been one of the superstars of the new generation clocking back-to-back successes.

After a purple patch back in 2018 and 2019 where he saw Padmaavat, Simmba and Gully Boy marking his hattrick of successes, his later projects have been underperformers at the box office which includes the likes of 83, Jayeshbhai Jordaar and Cirkus.

Now, back to form and running with Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, he was recently asked about this slump at a press event. On that he mentioned that he doesn't dwell too much on failure and success as he feels lucky and grateful to just be on a film set and get to do what he loves. 

He also mentioned that he doesn't understand the numbers game at all and he tries to be detached from that as much as possible. He then added how he wants to focus on the craft, performance and do his best because all this is a collaborative effort and hence if it's a film success, it isn't just his own and the same goes for failure as well and vice versa.

He also added that he learnt from his failures that have been a case in the recent past but at this moment, he is delighted at the love being shown towards Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Finally, he concluded saying that it is almost miraculous that he gets to be a part of Hindi movies and his journey as Bittoo Sharma in Band Baaja Baaraat to Rocky Randhawan in RRKPK has been quite incredible.

Singh has multiple projects in the pipeline that includes the remake of Aparichit and a speculated lead role in Don 3 among others.
