Sony SAB's Tenali Rama returns with an exciting new chapter set in the historical kingdom of Vijayanagar. The latest episodes follow Tenali (Krishna Bharadwaj) as he struggles with his identity as a fallen hero. Despite his reluctance to return, he is determined to uncover a conspiracy threatening the kingdom and restore justice.
In the recent storyline, Tenali has distanced himself from Vijayanagar, finding peace in his village while spending time with children. He is hesitant to go back due to three promises made to King Krishnadevaraya (Aditya Redij)—not to sleep on the kingdom's land, not to show his face to the King, and never to return alive. However, Tenali's wife, Sharda (Priyamvada Kant), and his mother, Amma (Nimisha Vakhariya), call upon Kali Maa (Barkha Bisht) for help. In a dramatic turn, Kali Maa awakens Tenali's alter ego, Bandhu, urging him to face the looming threat to Vijayanagar and return to protect the kingdom.
Will Kali Maa's intervention convince Tenali to fulfil his duty despite the promises that bind him?
Krishna Bharadwaj, who plays Tenali Rama, shared, "Tenali Rama has always been known for his wit and humour, and this time, his journey promises more of this along with a larger purpose of saving his land from an impending threat. Viewers will witness his internal conflict—torn between past promises and a pressing sense of duty and his transformation from being an aimless person to following his purpose. I am thrilled for the audience to witness how Kali Maa's intervention and Tenali's inner conflict will pave the way for an epic comeback."
