Ajay Devgn is stepping back into the shoes of Jassi with the official announcement of Son of Sardaar 2, which is scheduled to arrive in theatres on July 25, 2025. The film follows up on the 2012 action-comedy Son of Sardaar, which had found a strong audience for its humour and high-octane sequences.

Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, the sequel promises to continue Jassi’s journey, this time bringing him into a new landscape and a fresh set of challenges. While the core of the character remains the same, the world around him appears to have expanded—both visually and thematically.

In a nod to past references, the promotional poster plays around with a familiar Devgn image. Over the years, his entrances straddling moving vehicles—from bikes to cars—have become something of a calling card. This time, the visual takes that legacy into a more exaggerated terrain, showing Devgn balanced atop two military tanks. It’s a creative update that both references and reinvents the original pose.

The film is backed by Jio Studios and Devgn Films, with Ajay Devgn also taking on the producer’s role alongside Jyoti Deshpande. Additional production support comes from N R Pachisia and Pravin Talreja, with Kumar Mangat Pathak on board as co-producer.
