Gulfam Khan Hussain shares her summer style, mango love, and cherished childhood memories

Actress Gulfam Khan Hussain, currently seen in Gehna – Zevar Ya Zanzeer, admits summer isn’t her favorite season. She doesn’t shop specifically for it, but when the temperatures rise, she does make a few smart wardrobe choices. “I don't shop just for summer, but I definitely wear brighter colors and lighter fabrics when the heat gets too much,” she shared.

On set, Gulfam makes sure to stay hydrated, drinking lots of water throughout the day. She confessed, “I can eat ice cream in any season, but summer gives me the perfect excuse to indulge. This year, I plan to binge on mango-coconut-sago mocktails—it’s my new favorite.”

A self-proclaimed fruit lover, Gulfam revealed that mangoes top her list of summer treats. “Whether it’s Alphonso, kesari, or dasheri—I love them all,” she said with a smile. “I also enjoy oranges and watermelon during the hotter months.”

Talking about her childhood summers, Gulfam fondly recalled beautiful memories spent at her Badi Ma’s bungalow in Andheri West. “She had this big garden full of flowering plants like mogra and roses, and even animals like deer and peacocks. Back in the late '70s and early '80s, it wasn’t uncommon to have such animals at home,” she said.

Reminiscing further, she added, “My holidays were magical—playing with rabbits, white mice, and helping in the garden with tiny tools. In the evenings, we’d sip sweet orange Rasna on the verandah. It was the best time of my life.”

Ending on a nostalgic note, Gulfam said, “I’ve truly tasted heaven as a child. If I ever get a time machine, I’d go back to those garden days—holding my father's fingers, running around barefoot, while my mom and Badi Ma cooked the most amazing meals in the world.”
