Aamir Khan, the Bollywood superstar, recently addressed the underwhelming box office performance of his son Junaid Khan's debut film, "Loveyapa." While acknowledging the film's struggle, Aamir expressed a positive outlook, stating, "accha hua (good that it happened)." He emphasized that Junaid's performance was strong and that he will continue to learn and grow.
In a recent interview, Aamir praised Junaid's dedication and talent, highlighting his ability to fully immerse himself in his characters. He noted that Junaid's transformation into Gaurav in "Loveyapa" was convincing and that this ability to embody his roles is his greatest asset.
Aamir also acknowledged Junaid's weaknesses, mentioning that, similar to himself, Junaid is not a great dancer and struggles with interacting with people. He expressed confidence that Junaid will overcome these challenges, noting that the failure of his previous film would ultimately make him tougher and motivate him to work harder.
When asked if he saw glimpses of himself in Junaid, Aamir admitted that he often did. He shared his own experiences of being shy and awkward in interviews, drawing parallels to Junaid's similar struggles. Despite these challenges, Aamir emphasized that both he and Junaid possess a strong value system that guides their decisions, even if those choices might seem unconventional to others.
Aamir concluded by expressing optimism about Junaid's future, believing that he is on the right track and will continue to grow as an actor.
'Loveyapa,' a film produced by Madhu Mantena and Srishti Behl's Phantom Films, marks the big-screen debut of Aamir Khan's eldest son Junaid Khan and the late Sridevi's younger daughter Khushi Kapoor. Junaid made his acting debut in Siddharth P Malhotra's 2024 period drama "Maharaj," while Khushi debuted in Zoya Akhtar's 2023 period coming-of-age musical "The Archies" on Netflix India. "Loveyapa," which centers around a potential couple whose phones are swapped by the girl's father, also stars Ashutosh Rana and Kiku Sharda.
