Sony TV's popular show Ek Duje Ke Vaaste has indeed one of the best casts which are admired by the viewers. While the leads, Namik Paul and Nikita Dutta are adored by fans, the ensemble cast of the show is not behind in spicing up the drama quotient of the storyline.

The mastermind behind the show with such an amazing cast is Pravat Rout and here he shares some lesser known facts and challenges about casting for Ek Duje Ke Vaaste. Read on -

1. We wanted an NRI guy for Shravan's role. We are looking for someone who is tall and it was a stress for us. After auditioning 150 guys, we found Namik for Shravan's role.

2. Main lead girl, Nikita Dutta was too difficult to cast. We were looking for someone who is fresh and Nikita has done one show before this so we found her perfect for this role.

3. The young version of the main leads, Shravan and Suman was also tough for us to cast and they were liked by the audience a lot.

4. We found Madan Joshi apt for the role of the grandfather who hasn't done television. He is the best actor. Similarly, we wanted a funny guy for the role of Babulal. We chose Akash Bhardwaj who is the son of the old film actress, Asha Singh. Akash was a hidden talent and he is doing extremely well in the show.

5. It took around 3 months for us to complete casting for the show. My assistant, Himesh Choudhary has worked really hard and he has done almost 40-50 auditions every day for months, till we started shooting. Each and every character of this show has worked hard and we have done numbers of auditions for each character.

"I feel very happy to know that the show has such an amazing cast and is appreciated by the audience, and the leads, Namik and Nikita are much loved by the audience. I feel grateful towards the audience for their response," concludes Pravat.
