Earlier, I used to find him a little weak in emotional scenes but not now... This guy is such a power pack performer. Di u remember the scene where he threatens Kaanta chachi if she doesn't tell him about Mehak... The immediate chafe in his expressions when he sees Mehak's photo frame is simply marvellous. It's not easy to shift from one emotion to another tht quick but he does it flawlessly.
I want the few upcoming episodes to focus on his inner turmoil n pain... Those scenes will bring out the best in him. I wouldn't mibd a separation track for Mehrya till then.
Please CVs use ur leads to their full potential... They r amazing!!! Let them shine

@bold: I agree. It is not just the blind rage, there is variations of it that he does so well. There is this rage simmering just below the surface (as in the ISC days) that you can sense and feel, then there is the controlled rage (from the ajay days) and there again he lets you see the effort that control is taking and then there is blind uncontrollable rage (from the KC episode you mention) that you yourself can't help but shrink from. And it is not rage alone, it is any overwhelming, intense emotion - anguish, heartache, pride, arrogance he delivers all beautifully.

He can also turn on the charm at the snap of a finger. He carried the whole fake love track with that. His acting here has grown leaps and bounds. I used to love that epi where he brings her from the bar and they are assaulted by the truck drivers on the way. His charm was full on those two episodes. I recently saw them again and I could see how much more natural he is now when compared to those. If we thought he was great then, one can only imagine what he can do now! 😊

I think where he needs a little bit more growth is in the lovey dovey scenes, be it with dialogue delivery or more intimate scenes. Those have been a miss most times.

I have said many times and will say again that Mehak hasn't gotten roles this versatile to do her justice. She is struck between a happy in love Mehak or Sad and in love Mehak. She has done justice to both, but it will be nice to see many shades to her role too.

Hey Vedika!

I don't have time to write a long post now. But just popped in to say I'd rather read an honest critical view like yours than some GREAT people's comments on insta! Please keep writing them!!

I fell into the buildup and hype trap with the metro proposal and also the movie theater confession. The Taj proposal and the running around the aisles of the gift shop, as corny as it was, I did enjoy... 😊. I get that the proposal lacked ingenuity, but that didn't stop me from enjoying it. I think the only reason is that I didn't expect it at all of that episode and was pleasantly surprised with the turn it took...

Ah the Taj one. And the song that came with it. Good. 😊

I think I may try it your way, without knowing what happened, for a few times and see if that changes things for me. Though its very tempting to read the online live update because the episodes are uploaded later.

So true Vedika... Ignoring these fools is the best way to deal with them.

I kinda think tht the show has come back on track... Looking forward to some angst filled episodes. Would love to see one episode dedicated to Shaurya's turmoil... Fighting with himself to keep himself away from the love of his life... The same intensity he had shown right after the slap tht Mehak had given him during ISC... His convo with mom was the best scene where he showed his caliber as a fine actor.

Angst filled episodes would be good. Honestly, writing wise, I think yesterday it was definitely coming back on track, and I'm sure that as the scenes would be mostly Shaurya and Mehak now the acting would fall in place too. They do bring out the best in each other.

I had said I would pay to see a faceoff btw Munjal & Shaurya 😆

Well ! I lost my bet 🤢 for once hoped Shaurya would show his wild side but but

Munjal swallowed him whole in that act
😕

Shaurya was looking defeated in that scene was hoping to see the ISC days ka Shaurya 😕

I personally felt today's episode was a good one after a long long time 😆

Btw Maang Bharega ki nahi is the next debate
😆

Yes I too thought it was written well. I think I felt a disconnect between the writing and the acting.

I think Maang toh bhar hi dega. Or rather, I have seen a spoiler that says that Shaurya will fill Mehak's hairline, so I'm basing my belief on that astounding English! 😆

I loved all of his romantic proposal & gestures when he was totally faking it 😆 earlier
Once he genuinely fell in love he lost the steam 😆
Only my opinion 😆
Anybody wants to beat me up first find me 😈

I do not want to beat you up 😃

In retrospect the fake love scenes seem a bit too nice to me, if you know what I mean. In the real love scenes he is impatient, assertive, ziddi and not always as mindful of her but it all seems far more realistic and in keeping with the character of Shaurya.

And coming back to yesterday's Episode... shooting on the set and shooting outside the set is two different things when you have time constraints and you can't keep on giving takes for the same scene , and for once I was wondering what is going on like hero trying to set off the fire .. running to bar , beating him.. going back to Mahek consoling her , coming back to Mandaap and again he has to leave to bring his mom...so there were so many scenes which were going on it's just not that they take 7 pheras .. filling maang ..so what ever the out come is iam happy with that...when we know that they were working round the clock to pack up this wedding track...so they deserve a round of applause.

@bold: Awww, thank you for saying that!

I do agree that they were overworked, under pressure and there was a lot happening. Hopefully as they return to Khanna mansion, things will get much better.

I was just disappointed mostly because it is a life changing event. He can never go back to the pre-knowledge state, when he didn't know that he was responsible for someone's death, and that too the death of Mehak's parents.

Yeah, shristi, I have the same sense too...that the show is finally back. And I am looking forward as well to some nice episodes focused on Sk's inner struggles and conflicts. As much as I would like him to reveal this to her, I think that is a few episodes away. This is also KV's acting strengths. This coupled with a good plot would give us some gut wrenching episodes before the big reveal.

All that said, keeping in mind what I have just said here in this thread, I am nervous to get my hopes high, in case they bodge it up

You tone down your hopes a bit and I'll up my hopes a bit and between us we'll find the perfect level of expectations from which to see the show 😊

Agree with you Vedika , even I felt that intensity is missing in Shaurya but as Shamz said shooting on set and out side set makes a big difference because of time constraints... I liked KV's intensity acting in only some scenes so far, after ISC slap, crying in Karuna's lap, bedroom scene after KC's slaps, In sharma house scene after Mehak left...KV is very good in portraying anger, romantic, egoistic emotions but when it comes to vulnerable state he lacks intensity in many cases. I think Samiksha is a natural actress who can portray many of these emotions( I think she needs practice when she has to portray distress) with ease without much retakes, KV is raw in some of these emotions and may need practice , and here comes Shamz point of shooting under time constraints where they may not get retakes and also being tired because of long shoot hours... But I am happy with KV and SJ when compared to ITV leads who can't portray any emotions being in Industry for so long, and these newbies are far better than them...

Vidya, I think he portrayed vulnerability best in those two episodes when Mehak left him. He'd been an absolute beast to her, got her family shops razed to the ground, yet my heart went out to him when he couldn't believe that she would leave him, when he said twice "tum mujhe... tum mujhe... tum aise kaise jaa sakti ho?" Those are still my favourite episodes.

I agree with you that Samiksha does the normal, everyday, cheerful, uncertain, flirtatious, carried away and so on all well. Distress not so much. But then from now till the end of the show she's going to get so many chances to practice her distress acting skills that she'll get better at it 😆
