i totally agree with sandy's take ...this is a realistic bond i would say...where people who met as strangers, conceived opinions of EO without actually knowing EO well ,but never shied away in expressing what they felt of the other --

• be it the goddhana call off where mishti says they are not compatabile
• or the champaner track where kunal literally warns mishti to stay aawy from his brother
• the ganesh pandal where kunal again reminds mishti he would cross limits if it concerned his brother
• the park scene where mishti calls out kunal as not a brother whom abir deserves

and the outstanding tashans -- daandiya nite & Mishti's bday night toh 🥳🥳 -- just bang on ⭐️

their scenes were limited but were fair enough to showcase the stage by stage progression their bond went thro'/to be exact going through is wat i feel 😊..

to me their relation is still in progress...i dont feel ke they have reached that comfort level of bhabhi - devar which we get to witness in many other itv soaps ....for me it is like they wer ppl who couldnt stand eachother but now have accepted EO wholeheartedly as their family & have turned friends who can share talks & concerns 👍🏼

as many things have been discussed upon spot on..i will just add my 2 cents on few scenes i loved..

the scene where kunal asks mishti abt accepting truth of original parents ...

like Uru & others have pointed out he did have a convo abt the same with his bhai & wife ...

par the thing i find as reason behind his discussion with Mishti is just that she too went thro' exactly the same --- ya his wife also had to but his wife was given the truth so earlier in her life & she had many people who helped her accept it ..just like i have mentioned in my other post abt importance of answering the question of our kids at a right time ...i would say it would have been much easier for mishti or kunal if they have known the truth abt their parents as soon as they were ready to understand other realities of life as a child..

it hurts u worst to know that ur whole life /ur very existence was based on a lie💔

also kunal just asks mishti her strategy to accept the harsh reality of their lives & i dont think it has much to do with his decision abt making his relation with Parul ji public

abt the company handover

---- cent % true that it was a part of our pyaari yet shaatir Meenu's shantranch khel..par Kunal accepted it not just becoz his maa said it ..but becoz he found Mishti capable enough & it also shows how much his trust level on mishti has increased..for he himself wanted to clarify the same to her b4 asking her abt their discussion on real parents..

i feel this bcoz Kunal has always expressed his views to Meenu when it comes to business matters...ya he will obey if she insisits but not b4 placing his POV ....and Meenu herself has clarifies this that it was Kunal's sole idea to take over Red pear which indicates his say matters when it comes to business..

now coming to why i feel Mishnal bond is still under the tag WIP 😆 (hope u all got it)..

kunal has just acknowledged Mishti as one person who is undeniably perfect for his bhai 😳 ...

he respects her POVs but not blindly trusts or follows her ...instances being quite few par quoting 1 or 2 (keeping in my mind i dont end up boring with my long post😆)

-- the scene where Mishti seconds on Parul's opinion of Kunal taking a break from business so as to concentrate on his marital life too..he is clearly upset or to some extent irritated bhi😆,,ki y all r behind my first love 😆 ..but once he sees reason in Mishti's say , he calms down & even asks his bhai to help his bhabhi 😳

--- the resort scene --- if u have noticed just like his wife & Abir ,Kunal too questions Mishti outright immediately..but resorts to listen to her explanation just like Abir (ofcourse unlike his wife)..and once again he sees reason & so supports her ...

again the next day ,eventhough he feels Mishti to be right he resorts going back with Abir .--- this clearly gives away the realistic nature in his relation with Mishti which is his respect for her as his bhai's wife & concern for her as a good friend..

if at all he is all so sweet as a devar he shud blindly trust & follow her..which Kunal doesnt ...

now coming to the point regarding bridge of relations --

-- Abir is still the connecting point in their realtion and always will be❤️

-- but wat i feel from his actions lately is he will for sure try helping his bhai & bhabhi if at all they go in for an emotional distancing in their realtionship (which i think is on cards seeing the last few episodes & which i so hope to be untrue 😒 or atleast for one epi may be ..for i couldnt take our munchkins suffer again)

well..i guess i did make some sense unlike being carried away in my other post 😆..& am always open to all sort of comments from u my bennnaas 🤗

after long it is so good to see people happily agreeing to disagree -- the originality & uniqueness of the forum 😳..which i loved so much & which inspired me to a great extent ❤️..thank u ruhi for starting this thread ❤️

u put up everything well...

kunal is a not a sweet or blind debar who follows bhabhi... he is giving time to hear her pov's...

he is bridging mishbir when ever he sense some thing not normal... may be he is doing it for abir or for mishti but he is concerned for both..

still remember how kunal is irritated with all are behind his first love... he wont give upon that easily...

he started trusting mishti and knows very well what to discuss with whom? he is the first person to doubt nishant's intentions and put it forwrad...

so he is capable of his own thinking and own decisions, but he cant be influenced by every time...its just that he took back seat in abir's life and even when it comes to kuhu too... he clearly said mein ne apne aapko bahut jyada importance de diya now i want to take a back seat, so he is doing it in every relation...

yes, still relation is in Work in progress but it not forced or fast and furious for me...

Bold - Exactly this !! It's not like a lovey dovey bind where kunal will do everything blindly just for his dear bhabhi !! The relationship is still in the initial phase of progress

Bold 2 - it did matter because kunal didn't care enough to ask mishti and how she is coping with her parents before in the show ? The moment came for him when he was about to take a decision for parul ....!! I really don't understand why dismissing this ? It was a important factor from kunal's side and it's worth mentioning that he considered enough to share a opinion and not the other way around

I somewhat agree with rest of the other points , but we will see when kunal or mishti does something / talk something, solely on the basis of their own individual things and not because of any external factors or motivations supported by concrete and clear dialogues and scenes showing kunal's thought process !

@bold:..word dear👍🏼... for Mishbir there is no need of others to advice them on their relation..par after marriage there comes some more problems too..and kunal exactly does what u have said..he steps in only when things seem to go out of hands or he feels so...and that s y i feel he will help them stand together if at all they tend to have some disagreements in future..and yes he does it specially for his bhai❤️ but sure he is concerned for both😳

well..for the record i never dismissed the fact u pointed out dr😳..my take is a bit different i guess..

as i said in my previous reply to ruhi , and as did mishtu pointed out on daandiya night..Kunal does make his decisions himself yet he needs validation from others...it is not that he makes the decision due to others' insistence or influence is wat i feel from the way his character is portrayed..

if u see from the very first..it was our pyaari Meenu who tried to influnce him to make a decision of calling off his GD with mishti ,which he never paid heed to 😆he even went on to announce the date for GD much to her shock ...even though he misconceived mishti to be a liar , he wanted to go ahead with the rishtha even after much persuasion from Meenu (wow..just realised this needs a spl mention , given how convincingly persuasive our pyaari Meenu cud be 😆..sry got carried away again..back to focus )

it was then he took a decision of breaking it just when he could nt allow a girl break relation with him for second time(for me ..it was his old wounds that made him do it & i wont even call it male ego -- though it did have its part to a small extent undeniably as the saying goes Men will be Men )

next comes his love drama with kuhu -- he was never convinced abt it but here our Meenu did get an upperhand but also kunal himself was of the opinion that Mishti is not the right choice for his bhai..so again it narrows down to be his decision..supported greatly by Meenu's words..

then again the prenup fiasco..where he outsmarted mighty Meenu again...it was again his decision , par considerably supported by Mehul this time becoz Kunal was desperate to save his bhai from a wrong girl (in his POV ofcourse)..so again it comes across primarily as his decision (because a man who doesnt give heed to his mother & brother whom he loves the most cannot accept a decision made by a stranger -- for he considered Mehul to be one)

again in the spiking drink mishap -- though he accepted to execute his mother's decision , he tried his best to prevent nishanth from taking the spiked drink ..so again he is making his stand there ...but as it is true that attempt to murder is equally a crime as murder , he had to face the consequences which eventually helped him grow more as a character..

after knowing his birth truth , he tried his best to cope up with it..ignore his birth mother too..not bcoz he doesnt want to accept her but he was taking his time to come in terms with it...but the events that followed like Parul's arrest & a false blame on her during Shivrathri , gave him a reality check that it is already hightime to face the reality..again he never went to any1 to discuss this ..as initially the renovation was to be done by Mishti ..but when Mishti returned him his company , he had a fair chance which he wisely made use of..

so i think the decision to make his relation with Parul public is also solely his -- he was never influenced by his bhai or bhabhi but he wanted them to validate his decision which he knew Abir would do even if he doesnt ask and Abir actually does that par he knows his bhabhi wont unless he asks her for ..so he discussed the matter with her , primarily becoz she had gone thro' the same situation in her life..we do ask our friend's opinion right especially when we know he/she has handled a similar one b4hand..this is why it doesnt come as a bigleap in their realtion (atleast to me ofcourse)....because for Kunal his bhai & Meenu ma means everything..when he could trust Mishti with them , him discussing something they both have experienced seems fairly acceptable i guess..

Ruhi, your description of the progression is awesome. They have come a long way. Just one point I want to make - I don't think the Mishnal bond became too sweet too soon because I don't think it's really that sweet 😊. Both of them are not really directly emotionally invested in the other person. As Uru mentioned, I also feel that they matter to each other because of others (esp. Abir) involved, and so they are able to give and receive advice and talk to each other in a way that is sometimes not possible if you are emotionally invested.

my intention of post is just to see progression of their dynamics and changes in kunal...

the who never wanted and always insulted is making efforts may be he is doing for his bhai but it doesnt mean he can trust mishti blindly... so my point is if we are deep analysing each and every character with their basic traits then why not kunal...

he is always a man of actions than words and he is not sugar coated, what he is he is on face... the hate he kept for mishti is just because of meenu's influence warna he could have hurt with mishti's rejection but itna jyada nahi hota...
