@shelzee, Kuhu has a very special relationship with Abir🤗... One that no one gets, may be Kunal does, I dont know. She does his dirty work. She is that Abir who does not ud chalo (which is why Kunal clings to her for life... He knows she does not abscond when Kunal needs someone to lean on). She is the one who has difficult conversations with Kunal and other family members. Makes them feel special... so when Abir is getting under his mom's skin, and bigben is about to explode and Abir is planning an escapade, Kuhu is there to handle things (There was even a scene where Abir thanks Kuhu for being there👏).

This is why Abir supports Kuhu.. She can get get away with murder (and I use this phrase very loosely) where Abir is concerned because since she has been there, his responsibilities have shrunk even further😔.

If this feels like I am bashing Abir, I am not. This is the very aspect of this character I am dying to see handled and the growth to come in. (I have a whole Shaheer nama in my head that i have on idea where to write🤔... because the main forum is just not my thing😒)

During janmashtami track, Kunal tells kuhu that he gave her the bracelet just to get rid of her and not as a gift. But that's not true right, he said all of that due to frustration,isn't it?

Because as far as I remember, he gave her the bracelet (which was meant for mishti) after her first day at office was over and he seemed cool that time, not angry.

Also, at champaner, he made her wear the bracelet ( which was a very beautiful scene btw) and joked about it in the car too.

So I hope he had been lying when he told kuhu it was just to get rid of her. 🥺🥺

@shelzee: thats precisely my problem with abir, he pushes kunal too much & too fast to take decisions but is never around to support him to bear the brunt of the consequences of those decisions

during kuku divorce also he was very passive, specially wrt kunal, while for kuku wedding he was very proactive from both sides, kunal & kuhu

exactly, kunal is an adult so why didnt abir confront him for going to this extent of ruining an innocent girl's life

and given that abir almost disowned kunal when he came to know about him spiking nishant's drink, this just seems so hard to believe

His first reaction was to offer support to Kuhu (and I will always love that about Abir - his genuine feminism) . He supported her, made her realise she should have been strong and not be manipulated, and then made her choose - and Kuhu chose to leave. But on the way to Mah house, Kuhu also mentioned that Kunal asked her to leave right after marriage and she was the one who didnt leave because she 'hoped' Kunal would realise. And that she still didnt want to disclose the truth as she still had the hope that Kunal will come around. So, IMO Abir still placed a trust in Kuhu's decision and let her make the choice - which is what i love about KuBir.

I love kubir for the same reason, they guide & support each other but never force their opinions on each other, infact kubir is one of the most adorable & healthiest bond on this show for me

When Abir met Kuhu on Karva Chauth day (in the boutique), he again asked her about the situation, he realised Kuhu still wanted the marriage to work and then offered to support her again.

Post KC - during MishBIr GD and later, Kunal seemed to have accepted Mishti and was much calmer/normal with everyone, So I understand that when Kuhu decided to return to RV house post MishBir breakup, Abir just believedthat Kunal has realised his mistake and took the divorce papers back.

#Idisagree because abir knew that kunal still hated mishti, and I know many people believe that just because kunal acted all pally with mishti during MA GD so he had somewhere accepted her but it was only because meenu asked him to support her for MA GD to beat mehul in his plan

infact there is a scene post mishbir break-up when kunal is confused by abir suddenly breaking up with mishti & is typing a message to kuhu and abir comes out of his room & kunal tries to confront him and abir says something like 'why are you so disappointed, tujhe toh khush hona chahiye tu hamesha se yahi chahta tha, you dont even like mishti, infact you hate her, so you should celebrate', and kunal retorts 'main apne bhai ka breakup celebrate nahi kar sakta'

PS: I absolutely agree that Kunal was let off too easily. I really expected one confrontation between the brothers about this entire saazish - which never happened. But may be it was intentional to show that Abir believed Kunal wanted to give marriage a second chance and was happy about KuKu patch up.

maybe its the character's flaw to believe what he wants to

Sorry I’m just inserting myself in your discussion. I just had to say, I agree Abir knew Kunal still didn’t like Mishti, but after the breakup he did believe that the reason for the divorce was gone (he knew Kunal had filed the papers only with the hope that he would breakup with Mishti). So when Kuhu came back and supported the family, he thought they patched things up. I mean, seriously, who lets 2-3 months pass living with the wife you served divorce papers to and not even say a word about that? The kind of things ITV makes you swallow 🤣

You guys will not believe this... I have a couple friend... they were going through with their divorce proceedings.. they have two kids. they were living in the same flat while this was all going on (the guy had no where to move out to.. nor did the lady)... guess what the lockdown has made things amicable between them. They arent really cancelling the divorce but its getting less nasty than it was a month ago even...

so anything can happen - like it did with KuKu

I would like to hope that things would get loads better between the two and this hope is really more for the kids, but for them as well. Thank you for sharing this cute story with us, DQ!! This made me hopeful for the world in general.❤️
