While making the KetuNal video, I came across the scene where Abir calls Kuhu to surprise Ketki after her break-up with Ved and they're going to a secret location to surprise Ketu but they see that Mishti and Kunal are following them and Kuhu's in that moment was just so frikkin' funny.

On a totally unrelated note, what's everyone watching these days? Just yesteday I watched the animated series Undone which I really enjoyed. I don't know what to watch next. I know there's a lot out there but I can't seem to pick a show where I'm like 'yeah, I can sit through that'. I'm just sat waiting for Afterlife 2.

I remember that scene, and abir's dialogue to ketu that he had planned for the best surprise for her & the epic entry of kuhu, she comes like a bollywood heroine, and ketu agrees that it was indeed the best surprise

I loved ketu's fondness for kuhu and this was one of the initial scenes of kubir

I was re watching Abir's birthday track and I was surprised as how could I miss so many little kuku Easter eggs.

I personally feel that when the family was praising kuhu, an adorable soft look adorned kunal's face and it was just so endearing to watch. When they were sitting at the table, then too, it almost seemed like Kunal was what, blushing maybe at the mention of kuhu and her kuhuness. 😭❤️

I feel in kuku's story, there is a constant one step ahead and one back. Just after all of that, Kunal again went back to his shell. I feel that had mehul and mishti not come there, things would have been different (in a positive way).

Then again, his hatred for mishti overpowered his growing feelings for kuhu and he decided to use divorce as a way to seperate mishti and abir.

Honestly, I feel that kuku scenes have a lot of hidden Easter eggs that you become aware of only after rewatching them.

Also, during ketki's Sangeet, there's one scene where mishti stops Kunal wanting to talk to him and he just says "where's kuhu". Because for him, kuhu had always been important. Ik ik that it was just so he could apologize but still, I love kunals eagerness and mishti's shock in that scene. 😂

Did you see the scene where Kuhu suspects that Kunal might be having an affair after her conversation with Ananya??

She is like "Affair?? Kunal ka affair??" And then her expression changes and she is like "Chhi! Uss ke jaise bore ke saath kaun affair karega? Hmph! #KhadoosChhokro"

Then she starts doubting her own theory. It's so funny!!

@aquaHP: Yessss! I remember that. I hope that in the future, if the makers decide to turn kuhu sane again and maybe give a little more focus on kuku, we get to see a jealous chokro version of Kunal too.

precisely thats the problem as a kuku fan most of us have with abir, when it comes to kunal, he just decides what is right for him or what he needs, without really trying to understand what he really wants & this is where kuhu comes into picture because she gives him that space & time, no matter how much it delays things for her(like kunal confessing his love & trying to stop the divorce on the last day)

and abinal did have a discussion on kuhu though, remember abir mentioning that kunal was restless & didnt sleep whole night scene, when kuhu meets kunal in the morning in her jogging look & confesses her love for him, kunal tells abir that he is restless since he came to know that maheshwaris are trying to get kuhu married against her wishes & abir asks 'tujhe kaise pata ki kuhu isse khush nahi hai' & kunal replies that because she loves me & abir asks kunal, 'and do you also love her?' and kunal wasnt sure so abir says something like 'toh fir usse jaane de kunal, yadi tu usko commit nahi kar sakta toh tujhe koi haq nahi banta usko rokne ka'

what doesnt add up for me is abir giving up on kuku as soon as kunal gives kuhu the divorce papers

I mean I understand that he came to know that it was meenu & kunal's plan, but if it was such a huge saazish shouldnt he be much more annoyed at kunal than he was?

or was it because he got so busy with mehul & his relationship with mishti that he chose to not prioritise this?

or rather was it, that by supporting kuhu (with just small acts of dropping her at maheshwaris, encouraging her to move on & be strong, helping her for getting kunal for kc function etc.), he thought his part of the responsibility was being fulfilled

I mean even if we try to believe that he had also given up on kuku & accepted that kunal doesnt love kuhu & that kuhu deserves better than this sham marriage then how come post leap he is convinced that kunal has changed his mind

When Abir came to know that Kunal never loved Kuhu, he never intended to marry her but acted only so that he could sending Mishti by blackmailing her with KuKu wedding condition, and that he even manipulated Kuhu into sending those emails, Abir was dissapointed in Kunal but blamed Meenakshi for the mess.

His first reaction was to offer support to Kuhu (and I will always love that about Abir - his genuine feminism) . He supported her, made her realise she should have been strong and not be manipulated, and then made her choose - and Kuhu chose to leave. But on the way to Mah house, Kuhu also mentioned that Kunal asked her to leave right after marriage and she was the one who didnt leave because she 'hoped' Kunal would realise. And that she still didnt want to disclose the truth as she still had the hope that Kunal will come around. So, IMO Abir still placed a trust in Kuhu's decision and let her make the choice - which is what i love about KuBir.

When Abir met Kuhu on Karva Chauth day (in the boutique), he again asked her about the situation, he realised Kuhu still wanted the marriage to work and then offered to support her again.

Post KC - during MishBIr GD and later, Kunal seemed to have accepted Mishti and was much calmer/normal with everyone, So I understand that when Kuhu decided to return to RV house post MishBir breakup, Abir just believedthat Kunal has realised his mistake and took the divorce papers back.

PS: I absolutely agree that Kunal was let off too easily. I really expected one confrontation between the brothers about this entire saazish - which never happened. But may be it was intentional to show that Abir believed Kunal wanted to give marriage a second chance and was happy about KuKu patch up.

Reasons:

He says that he cannot say the truth while looking into her eyes. ( Because it's hard to lie while looking directly in the eyes, ain't it?)

He is about to say that he doesn't love her but one look at her face and he isn't able to say it. Rather he ends up saying that he doesn't like the idea of love.

Then he continues saying that seeing kuhu, he feels he shouldn't be so negative (and maybe give love another chance?)

He tells her that if mishti hadn't come in between them then he wouldn't have been here for the purpose he had come, because the situation would have been different.( And he would have definitely had feelings for her without any space for hatred).

Also, the physical closeness, and Kunal being so comfortable around kuhu is just another reason. He cages her in between the cupboard and himself but really, when someone has no feelings for another, then who would do that?!

He leans on her shoulder, keeps talking to her is just so adorably cute.

And I completely forgot, he did have a smile on his face when he saw the picture kuhu sent him, of her. That was definitely not pretence.

I know he was guilty of betraying her and that's what brought him to maheshwari house but isn't it a bit of tradition in dkp productions that the groom and bride see each other and have their moments in the bachelor bachelorette track? ( Think of rose-yash, kartik-naira, kirti-naksh if you know what I mean.)

For me, all those reasons just point to one thing, Kunal had growing feelings for her all this while and I think it was the most romantic moment they ever shared, the most heart to heart they ever have been with each other.

I think this was definitely the best kuku scene I have come across until now.

Also, maybe their outfits gave me super fairytale-ish vibes that I might have been a bit biased (teehee🤭) but what do you guys think?

Kiara, love the way you have described all those previous moments. This scene was definitely a teeny-meeny window to Kunal's heart and mind. My favourite bit was him holding Kuhu's hand when he talked about Shweta and also when his mom calls. Just the fact he wanted to hold on Kuhu, had all my heart.

And they did give out fairy tale vibes with those outfits. So dreamy!
